I actually finished it the five times you're allowed to for the free 10 packs of cards. It can be boring, but I got to the point where I could basically conquer all 30 strongholds in like a day.

If I put in a full day on a weekend I could do it. Usually I ended up breaking it up over 3-4 nights during the week. Not sure it was worth doing 5 times as I ended up with just Machado and Rizzo as cards I use in my lineup, but I do like opening packs and I got 50 free ones all said and done.

5 times is the max amount of times you can do it for any sort of rewards.

I'd been running through this final one all on legend difficulty but I might go to all-star. I can't deal with rookie anymore because games take forever

I mean it will let you play as many times as you want, there just won't be packs and XP at the end after you've completed it the 5th time.
Edit: Is the Scherzer from the Tigers collection a good card? I'm a huge Tigers fan and I have the stubs to buy the Miggy LS card. Would obviously be able to plug the Miggy into my lineup too. Right now I'm starting Rizzo at 1st and I'm in the process of finishing the Cards collection and will end up with the Cepeda card. So is it worth doing the Tigers team epic in my position, or should I just do another team instead?

Happens every season. Get to 850s and drop down into the low 700s. Lost some heart breakers and ran into a bunch of teams that ran lots of lefty specialists so I decided to sell Gwynn and get that new Beltran after hearing a bunch of good reviews of it.
I don't like that Scherzer card. Looks good on paper but he consistently got rocked against upper tier teams. Maybe I just used him wrong. Fastball is too slow, curveball lacks control and movement, card is just meh. Cabrera kicks ass though, I'm just worried he might sink to gold.
What else is on your team? Pirates is a good one to complete. That McCutchen is solid.
.....holding down R2 before they pitch is frowned upon? I do it sometimes to check their pitches and refresh myself on what they might throw. But I see this is a pretty popular complaint.

My bench has the team epic Mike Schmidt, Paul Konerko, LS Brandon Crawford, and a couple other gold cards. My bullpen isn't that great. I have no diamonds, but a bunch of golds. I think Cody Allen is my best reliever.
I have about 70,000 stubs right now. One option I thought of was buying Zack Britton and doing the Orioles epic since I already have Machado, but I'm not even sure what the team epic reward is. I could also use some lefty relief since I think I only have one in the pen.
Give me a bit of time to think about this, running around right now and working in a bit, but before you do anything, do not finish the Orioles
Completing collections is overrated, unless you WANT the collection reward, and Jim Palmer ain't worth it. Also, Machado might go gold right?

That's fine. Take you time as I can't really do anything until later this evening. I won't finish the Orioles though. Machado could go gold, think he's at a 91 after the latest roster update, could be 90 though I can't remember.
Okay, a few quick thoughts:
Royals gets you Soria and Cain. Cain might be better than that Pollock but the difference isn't much. But the Royals are cheap and I think Soria is a good bullpen arm. I do better with Soria than I do K-Rod.
Brewers is also cheapish, and that AS Lucroy is a step up from the LS version. And John Axford is another nice reliever I've done well with.
After those two, I'd probably just target some specific LS players. I'll get to that later. But I think your starting rotation is where I'd improve first. There actually may be some nice throwback cards that you can get and don't have to lock in. I've heard Rookie Syndergaard is really nice.

I can't say I'm super thrilled with my rotation either. Darvish is probably my favorite guy to pitch with out of the starters I have. I actually have LS Lester that I've never tried and LS Paxton who only has three pitches I think, but he is a lefty and throws gas.
The three pitchers I'd take a look at are Rookie Thor, LS Strasburg/Scherzer. I think Korupt also mentioned Pirates BO Perez being good too

Cespedes. A potential 60k hit... oh well. Was quite the run. My previous lost game in that run I lost 3-0 when they had 2 hits and I had 7. Was super awesome.
That's the Battle Royale life. You just gotta keep doing it, you'll hit 12-1 eventually. Just hope your 12 isn't LS Craig Kimbrel lol. Cespedes would have been a good get. Anything over 50k is great to me.
I just drafted an all offensive team. My bullpen totally sucks because the draft just kept avoiding giving me good options there and then I ended up with Hunter Strickland as my main man lol

That's pretty much my current team... brutal pitching but monster bats.
My run was with a solid pen built around Yankee Miller.
I can't get a legend for a bullpen pitcher to save my life to try for the strikeouts... stupid requirement to have legend only. Finally finished the 100 hits, and the 30 HR's with IV is not going to happen since I only have 3 so far lol.

I lost game five 4-1 to someone who was 12-0. I had my chances but I grounded into double plays with bases loaded while he hit it into the gaps. it happens
just got some pomeranz for my 6 win (3k) and my 9 win is IV Cliff Floyd. LFG

My 11-2 run came with All-Star Pedro Alvarez as my leadoff hitter. I hit .400 with the dude w/6 bombs. Even bunted against the shift for a hit with him against a lefty lol.

Bought that 91 Jared Weaver and took down a WS player with him pretty convincingly. So much break, weird arm angle, and his height make for a really unique pitcher.
Let my pain be a warning then. Sold my Betts and rolled the dice on 25 bases loaded packs. My best card... Alex Wood. I'll be lucky to recoup 10k from those packs.
Damn, I should feel fortunate that my 8 pack fury was indeed a stroke of luck.
I really hope they release more starting pitchers soon. I'm getting tired of the current crop.
I didn't even know there was a 91 Jered Weaver.
Now that I don't need to play conquest anymore and I'm taking a BR break...doesn't seem like I have much to do besides RS. And I can't play those games unless I'm fresh.

The other two big ticket additions are 2009 97 OVR Zobrist and 2014 92 OVR Doolittle. Not too bad! Probably won't care for either but hopefully there's diamond level rewards soon.
