Gran Turismo Sport demo coming Oct. 9

Where are all these gifs from ?
I thought the demo was up tomorrow and only available for preload at the moment ?
Leave it running idle for infinite car porn in demo races.

I have no idea what track that is. It's not the short oval and it's too small to be the larger dogleg oval. 1.5mi trioval maybe?

I've taken so many screenshots of the Scapes. It's too much....

Help me, Gaf.

They let you launch the Demo but you can't play anything. You can only admire the Scapes and videos they have on the opening menu.

The 30 FPS replays are so smooth. I wish all 30 FPS games were this smooth.

Just the right amount of motion blur.
It does wonders.

I'm going to need an external drive when full game drops.
Not for the game, for all the pics and footage I'm going to capture.

Are you guys just letting it sit? How are you able to change modes (like attract?) that I see some folks mentioning? Everything is greyed out on the menu screen?

You just take a seat and let it squirt all over your face.

Like, you just wait. I believe every car showcase and replay is randomly generated.

If that’s true, I might have to get a pro.

Just a heads up, it’s 60fps on the pro in 1080p mode, and if you chose 4K it will be 30fps.

From eurogamer:
http://www.eurogamer.net/amp/digitalfoundry-2017-gran-turismo-sport-ps4-pro-analysis

“The improvements extend beyond gameplay too. Since the Gran Turismo series moved onto PlayStation 3, Polyphony has opted for 30fps replays, halving frame-rate in order to layer on additional effects and deploy higher detail models. This remains the case for Pro users running the 4K mode, and for base PS4 hardware operating at 1080p. However, Polyphony unlocks the frame-rate with Pro at full HD, meaning you get the full package of additional replay visual enhancements, and a (mostly) 60Hz output. Frame-rate only drops when many cars are on-screen simultaneously. In this respect, the performance profile in these unlocked replays is similar to base PS4 gameplay.”

Those gifs! It's gonna be hard to resist picking this up at full price!

AI was always aggressive when you get between it and its best line. ;p

Haha yeah true, they were always a bit too train like. I meant that I hope they've finally become more dynamic and also with better cornering speed.

Yep, just let it sit. Eventually it will load up a race!

That's what I did and it's insane. Running on a Pro and OLED, and this is a shining example of how HDR can look in a game when done right. The entire package should be a selling point for a Pro, HDR, and 4k. Wow.

I have my wheel exclusively for F1 (tried DiRT and FM7 and FH3 but don't have an intention to buy a game for the wheel) but this looks really good. Maybe time for a wheel stand so I can race in the living room.

What's the entry level officually supported wheel to buy for this game? I remember logitech dfgt is the entry level for ps3 gt. What's the equivalent wheel for ps4.

That looks like overcast lighting and no clear sunlight, so you'll only get contact shadows like right underneath the car.

GT lacks self reflections though so the side mirrors look off since it's not being reflected on the car's body.
Dunno, I think that we should see some form of (self)shadow here.
Self reflections are long overdue in the series, maybe next time on PS5.

Woah  Crazy graphics and the lighting is just insane, the reflections from the dashboard is leagues ahead of anything else here!

But there is that one thing that annoys me... There is not even a slight vibration when you smash into another car here. :(
Is that stuff still in the game or what's the deal here? Some videos show it, some don't. In this gif it looks like they just took the old GT bumper cam and slapped a huge interior frame obscuring the view with some hands/wheel animations ontop of the picture. There is no visual feedback at all that you crash into the other car, looks extremely lazy compared to what all other racers do at this point, and imo it really sticks out a lot when everything else is so top-notch. :/

Maybe cam-shake is customizable in the in-game settings, just like they added a setting in the beta to adjust how loose the chase cam is.

Hopefully these visuals hold up in gameplay. With visuals like Horizon's in a massive open world, I think they are totally achievable.

Love how all your posts regarding to GT follows the same pattern.

In Arcade mode there is a Time trial mode with leaderboards (also Drift trial).
No "events", you just pick a car and a track.

Thanks! Do time trial leaderboards work without ps plus?

I do not like to race online but I enjoy competing in time trials online :).

Hoping some of the cars we get to try are different to the closed beta as im gonna be honest...game looked good but cars handling still feels like it did 10 years ago and not in a good way...very stiff and rigid and missing that weighty feel that other racers have..not sure if it was the cars...the controller or the game itself

Since the closed beta ive been playing Forza7 and PC2 and both those games really nail being in control of some of the cars with the handling.....particularly the use of Haptic feedback in the triggers ....driving the Hoonigan Mustang around with no assists on i was grinning ear to ear the whole time...the whole time in the GTS closed beta it felt very generic and vanilla...still have it pre-ordered as poly patch the shit out of their games and may add some of the features you find in the other racers.
