Yep a £85 decrease at Vodafone retail stores in the UK. From £279. You have to get a £10 data top up when you buy it. Not sure how long the offer is on for.

3G version only. And Vodafone only sell the unit, they don't sell any games or accessories.

It was £250 for a while in the likes of Sainsburys and Morrisons, so with the £10 top up requirement, its more like a £50 cut, but still eyebrow raisingly good value -- theres definitely no catch?

Forgot to say, 4GB card included.

Only requirement is a £10 top up for the 3G Pay As You Go sim card that comes with it. So you'll pay £205 overall.

That's the most likely scenario. Abysmal sales + no official Sony reduction make that by far the most plausible answer. A shame, that's closer to the price it should have launched at.

The "special" UK mark-up on the price (even when VAT was taken into account) probably didn't help.

Amazon just dropped them to £209 as well.

That's only £15 more than the Wi-Fi only model which is £194

Pretty much baseless wishfull thinking. They already annouced prices for white PSV in Japan and for Miku special edition and they are standard prices.

At most we can hope for mem card in every SKU.

are all UK 3G models unlocked, even if you buy from vodafone? You can get decent data sims from ebay that'd go nicely - £30 for 6 months, 18GB (3GB per month)

I believe they are unlocked and can work with any 3G sim card.
