The original mod was even slower, iirc.
Then bless those who had the patience for it. I think I'm almost done but there's been a couple of times where I really hesitated before checking out a split in the path due to it. They could've made sprinting optional at least but I guess the very notion of sprinting wouldn't have fit the game.

Eh, that's okay. I didn't bring it up for the credit.
This was too wtf to let pass.
Checked the Build a Bundle 4 page, and yep.

Edit: Oh wow.
Really? Blaming the sites?
Calling everyone that calls him out on this scumbags?
If it wasn't in his contract, he could have told them to change the graphic, like others have done.

There's also a new bundle bandits bundle, but after their fuckup with email account leakage, I don't like promoting them, so...

@find_eureka @GreenManGaming The problem is, how do I differentiate between people who got it for free and people who paid $0.25 ?

that's the devs reason,it is free on GMG for 24 hours before.

Except... The bundle sites (not GMG) all know who bought their bundle, and have a system in place to give only those people the keys they receive from the devs, so... non-argument is non-argument. Only send keys to the bundle sites that people gave money to, money he received a cut of, and boom, problem solved!
Also, about the 'I never promised anything', there's obviously an option not to have the key promise on the bundle sites/IGS site, so either he didn't read his contract or did not ask the question/say anything when it appeared on the sites as saying keys would be supplied.

I'm not pissed off by this because I wanted a Zombies key (hell, I didn't pick it in the bundle because it looked not for me), but about how he's making all other indie devs look back. Just look at all the "ah, more scumbag indie dev" "typical indie dev" quotes on the internet.

I'm sorry for asking this again, but which graphics card does everyone here recommend? I'm currently looking at the GeForce GTX 750Ti, but if there are any other ones anyone here can recommend, that would be helpful!

Anyone else get into Love? I know Trunks here made it. I found the e-mail from 2008 when I first bought it from his website when it was $1 (I gave $2 and got this from Trunks: "Thanks for the extra buck. It was entirely unnecessary and entirely awesome. Let me know if you ever need anything. :p" which I'll someday use when I get a flat tire or something).

So last night I finally started up the Steam copy I bought and started working on the achievements. Five hours straight and I still couldn't get past Level 11 well enough to get an A++ rank. This morning I went back and put another hour into it and finally got the A++ rank and now have all achievements except for YOLO. Which I won't bother trying.

But if others are into it it could be fun comparing leaderboards and maybe challenging one another on speed run times or something. I'm currently 39th for score and something like 130th for time but I know I could cut my time down a fair bit since I set that pretty early and got a lot better working on the A++.

The 750ti and the r7 260x are really the two choices in the $150.00 price range. If you could scrape more money together you should go for the 660ti, but if that isn't possible both those cards (750ti and r7 260x) offer great value for the money, I'd give the edge to the 750ti as well, but I'm partial to Nvidia. I'd make sure that the card you do get has 2gbs of VRAM so that you have a little more flexibility for all your choices.

It seems as if the 660ti is currently on sale at Best Buy and my local Best Buy actually has them in stock, so it would be smarter to go with the 660ti?

Thanks to family sharing I'm playing Lords of Shadow. It's funny how everything that happens in the game no matter how inconsequential is accompanied by some EPIC CUE. I giggled when I was slogging through swamp water and choir music started blasting.

I'm enjoying it enough as so far it's a competent GoW clone but damn, that
first Titan
boss was dreadful. I could kind of forgive how unfun, guided and repetitive that fight is if it wasn't ripping off other games. :p I know
there are more titans later
and I can't say I'm looking forward to them. I usually binge-play action games but with this one I feel that I'll appreciate it better if I space out my sessions a bit more.

Anyway, the game looks pretty good! This hits hard after the FMV cutscenes since they are stuck in console-graphics.

I'm installing Assassin's Creed Revelations.

Anything I need to know? Controls? Problems? Mods? Haven't played an AC on the PC yet. Going to Istanbul next month and thought it'd be cool to play this before I go.

The 750TI seems like a really good choice. I have a R7 260X which is basically the competitor, and while I am happy with it, Nvidia would be the choice simply for the better drivers. I have a few problems associated with this card, and though nothing obstructive, it can be a hindrance to my overall experience. This includes and enlarged cursor for no reason (which I can't make smaller except with a bandaid fix of enabling cursor shadow which only works on the normal cursor) and the screen occasionally going black for a second for no reason. And yes, my PSU is strong enough (650W) so it's not a lack of power.

EDIT: Also, this enlarged cursor problem has been in existance since their 5XXX series cards. AMD really needs to get their shit together. I'm rooting for the underdog here but come on AMD, give me more to work with.

It's a great card as long as you don't need 8xAA and super high resolutions. I run everything at 2048x1152 and 2-4X AA and it's perfect for that. Overclock it some(focus on memory first). I did a bit of a sidegrade from a 7870 and at stock the 660ti was faster than the 7870 overclocked and the 7870 is quite a bit faster than the 750ti and 260x.

You can check Before I Play. Also as far as I noticed from the trailers I watched it has most of the architectural greatness of the old city in it. My advice while you are here, don't forget about the other side of Istanbul, that you wouldn't probably see in REVs.

Don't forget AMD's R7 265. Its cheaper and more powerful than the 750Ti. The Nvidia card is great for its low power draw, but if you don't care about that, the AMD card is actually better bang for buck.

Just read about the Zombies keys mess and, this being now the umpteenth time some indie dev pulls out this kind of behaviour, I'm kinda amazed by the complete lack of basic business perspective some people have.

I mean, I'm aware of the fact that many of those devs are very young and probably at their first entrepreneurial experience, but still, come on!
When I opened my web design company I was 25 with some dev experience but barely any about business (that led to all kind of accounting messes in the first year), but it's not like I asked clients to pay 10000€ for a landing page, hosting not included.
I mean, I know it's not the same and everything, but one doesn't need to be Zuckerberg to know that startupping is a delicate matter and first thing first you have to build your name at all costs, even if it means resorting to lick the leftovers of yesterday tuna box for your own sustenance for several months.

Or what? Those devs think they're gonna be suddenly rich with their first game so who cares about their next project? Meh?

Thanks!

I'm only gonna be there for a few days, so we'll be cramming in a bunch of the normal sightseeing stuff, but we'll definitely try and squeeze in some less touristy exploring, too. Hopefully will get across to the Asian side!

Oh yeah. It's a better card than both the 750ti and the r7 260x. It'll last you much longer than the other two. You'll love that card, it has a ton of legs on it. Between the three, that'll last you much longer. But again, I really don't think you can go wrong with either three, if I had to rank them in order it'd be.

1. 660ti
2. 750ti
3. r7 260x

You do have the requieste power supply to power those right?

JaseC, can I use VPN to unlock Theif now? I saw somewhere you said that it's unlocking in Asia soon.

I think he'll soon notice that he can make more and quicker money by releasing Flappy Zombies.

Todd's avatar makes it look pretty final, I usually don't like to partake in ban discussion but it's a shame if he requested a perma. :(

Wow, I wish L.A. Noire didn't perform like garbage, I would really like to replay it. It gets down 16 FPS at times even with everything on low.

Isn't there a couple hacks for the game that unlock it to 60 fps? I remember not having too much trouble playing it. I imagine though that it doesn't scale well. It seems you either have the hardware to run it well, or you can run it like garbage. Rockstar's last release that was worthwhile and optimized pretty well was Max Payne 3. Hopefully they keep that tempo up going forward.

Yeah MP3 ran great for me, and I've tried some of the "fixes" for the framerate to no avail. I'll look into the 60 fps mod, but I heard it messes with the face tech.

Anyone else unable to sign into the Steam website? (I'm in the client ok). It's claiming my password is incorrect but it's definitely not...

Is Hero Seige good?

It's been in like, 5 recent bundles, so I'm sure someone will have some feedback.
Alternatively, check the indie game thread (we still have that, right?)

Wasn't there a fiasco where these guys publicly CC'd everyone's email address into a mass email? If so I'd be wary of using a legit address.

Yes, hence me not listing the deal. Sorry, bundle bandits people, but that kind of thing just rustles my jimmies.

Nah. It wasn't until recently that I discovered backers will receive a share of the profits gained throughout the game's first two years of post-release sales -- if I'd known this earlier I would've parted with some change myself.

Oh snap! Is this for real? I'm a backer and didn't know this. I backed it by donating 80 bucks back when they were still allowing donations.
