just totally goofy mistakes MS keeps making...I scratch my head wondering why on earth didnt they include the darn TF controller in the bundle? The people at MS that are making these decisions keep making me perplexed in a way i cannot even describe.

Including the TF controller in the bundle is a big incentive imho..as little as it may seem.

So there's no horrendous looking and ghastly "skin" and the game is a digital copy?

Sounds great. Might pick it up depending on price.

How do we even know for sure if it's included? Maybe we should wait for the official announcement?

It's not that the sales are terrible so much as it should be doing better than it currently is coming off the amazing success of the 360. They have botched it so badly that they gave Sony traction.

But it's on pace to outsell the 360. How is that not a incredible feat as is? It's only three months into this generation.

The 360 was heavily supply constrained for at least the first 6 months or so and its sales didn't really start to pick up until later in its life

Times have changed and initial stock is much higher. January NPD numbers are troublesome because the XB1 was readily available in stores, online but failed to move units anywhere near what the 360 did in its opening January [360 moved 249K Jan 2006] and it was heavily supply constrained

back then it was harder to ship systems,not impressive at all now to outpace 360. jan numbers were awful and supply was ample where 360 wasnt.

Huh that's unfortunate. I suppose we wait and see if Sony gives away infamous. I know sony is in a better position but I cant imagine considering what the xbox one has accomplished to be a failure.

I wonder if there will be a backlash if the Titanfall bundle is $499. Also if $499 is true, it shows how desperate MS is right now.

Xbox Division must be under a very high level pressures from investors not to lose any cent.

I don't know what the point of this bundle is.

I consider it a failure because the xbox brand has lost alot of its momentum it gained from the 360s heyday. Its getting outsold it its two strongest markets. If a MS executive predicted these numbers 14 months ago and said it was good, he would have been walking out of his office with a box.

And to clarify eggs in one basket: I honestly think Titanfall is Kinect's last stand. Xbox One rebounds and sells good (close or to par with PS4) we won't see a kinectless bundle. If it fails to make much headway, then we will see a kinectless bundle by the end of the year.

Also, aren't pack-ins labelled with 'promo/no resale' stickers? Most stores don't buy those back.

Same reason why Wii Sports came with Wii, Knack bundled with PS4 in Japan. BL2 bundled with Vita2000 etc.

When you buy a brand new console, cost is a major factor. Every time they bundle accessories, games with it.. the day1 cost for consumers will be lower. Instead of paying $616 (with taxes), just for $550 I could play titan fall on day 1. I am saving $65.

MS would have to pre-purchase that many licenses/copies from EA. So it is a guaranteed sale for EA, irrespective of attach rate, review scores etc. It is a win-win for every one. EA is happy, Consumers are happy, MS is happy because it can sell more xbox ones.

Most of them are yeah, but that's why I think it'd make more sense to buy the console and game separately. This bundle is essentially pointless as it offers no real value.

The bundle is the same price as the stock SKU, isn't it? As in you get the game for free? Unless I'm totally wrong, that sounds like a steal.
