So you'll abstain from purchasing Hyper Light Drifter then?
It doesn't really need to be, it will be here sooner or later, PEGI already outed themWill we hear anything more about Below soon ? That game looked gorgeous
I expected WarFrame to be on that list tbh

Why? DE can barely support the PS4. Spreading out to Xbone would stretch them too thin.
Have you played the PS4 version? Anyone from the PS4 Gaf clan that plays Warframe extensively can tell you the problems it has.Do you work there ?

So is this why hyper light drifter isnt coming out til winter? Microsoft is smart for forcing this, knowing developers don't have the balls to miss out on a platform. Can't be mad at MS for that just the devs that allow themselves to be bullied
Watched trailers for most of the games on the list. Hyper Light Drifter, Caliber 10 Racing, Habitat, Qube, Riptide GP2, Super Time Force, and Wulverblade all have my attention.
just want to say finally and better late then never. oh and It begins.
!
It's smart. If they are not going to innovate with the Kinect, grab developers who will.
I mean It seems like a fair amount of these are already available on different platforms...
Being that the two systems are so close to each other, and the fact that BOTH Sony and Microsoft are making it so easy and inexpensive to publish on their respective systems, I can see a lot of parity ahead for the indie games and their community.
Is this a first? Don't remember any game doing this before.
Which is great for gamers, and great for developers. Everyone wins.

I saw this some day ago, do we know where it's coming outside of the xbone? I'd kill for a Vita ver.I'd also pick The Last Tinker from that list. Met the devs while they were showcasing the game CCEU14 and had a chance to try it on a SteamBox. It's not quite a platformer, but it felt really solid and there was some great level design and they use the theme really well in the game.
First, if you look at the list, there are games released on the PS4 already. MS has gone on record saying they will look at it on a case by case basis. Second, releasing on the two consoles and PC at the same time can be a huge advantage. It allows the largest number of consumers access to the product. The systems are similar enough that it is very possible to port these games over with very minimal work especially with sdk's like unity available.Except for when struggling developers have to delay releasing an already finished game just to release on XBox.
They need money to live as well.
I need this, now D:

The whole "delay to launch on both systems" will be moot very soon as games that are in the beginning stages of development are going to be multiplatform for the most part.
We don't even know yet what platform that game is slated for yet. Nothings been announced yet. In the case of a 3 man team using their own engine, I would have to imagine they would like to work an exclusivity deal with one of the major platform holders so that's not really a good example. And what exactly is "very minimal work"? How long will it take the 3 developers of No Man's Sky for example?
Honestly, wouldn't you rather launch a game on as many platforms as possible, than limiting yourself to one if it means an extra month or two?
If it means exposing it to many more millions of customers than, yes I would take that extra time.

What im trying to point out is that its not quite the same situation we had last gen with the 360 and PS3 being so different architecturally that we are headed in a direction where it will be much easier to port over something in a month or two versus a much longer period last time. No, but the free xbox dev kits that go with it sure are nice, I bet. Wonder how long the parity clause will last once all xboxes are opened up to hobnyist devs (I believe that was something mentioned in the past?).How about letting the devs make that choice by themselves? And if launching in all platforms at the same time is the best choice, I'm sure the devs will choose that, they don't need that parity clause.
And again, no one is forcing it upon them. You can look at it two different ways.Let devs decide that instead of forcing it on them with a bullshit parity clause.
I'm going to need a bigger HDD.

Yes, although that doesn't mean that publishing on the platform will be entirely free of charge (you had to pay a yearly subscription to publish your games on XBLIG). .
It doesn't make sense to open the floodgates from the very start since the platform could become polluted by a sea of shovelware, like it was the case with XBLIG. Once it's somewhat established, I can see them opening up everyone's retail boxes for development
Link please? Haven't seen any such thing other than if they had exclusivity contracts.MS is supposedly working with developers that already had contracts in place. So more likely on XBO later than PC/PS4.
At least Forced from BetaDwarf is known already to be delayed from Wii U, and most likely from PS4 too because of the launch day parity clause.it'll still be on PS4 this just means the PS4 version won't release until the Xbox One version is (damn launch parity)
edit: if any of these games end up getting delayed to meet the launch parity clause I personally will refuse to buy them at full price
