sounds more like they're ship the extras seperate to the game. you're not paying again for the game. they've just seperated them out so your game potentially isn't getting to you later due to being part of a larger package.

as someone from europe, I actually welcome this. because I usually can unlock games early online, while the retails versions arrive a few days later. the price needs to be right though.

The reason for this is to save money and better distribute inventory. These types of grand collector's editions often don't get fully bought out at many locations and then wind up getting clearanced by the retailer. Just ask the Black Ops RC car edition and Halo Reach statue edition I got for ten bucks each that are still sitting sealed in my basement.

This makes it easier to sell all of them and retailers don't have to carry the risk/responsibility of holding the stock.

You could read one of the other 3 threads currently on gaf about it or look it up on twitter or whatever, and figure out that you pre order the collectors edition, pick up the game, and bethesda will THEN ship you the collectors guff so you dont have to wait for a single gigantic package that might take longer to arrive.
