MS's list is pretty skewed towards 3rd-party developed titles atm. XB1 has around 20+ exclusives released/announced. 15 of those are 3rd-party developed. (inc. stuff like 3rd-party timed exclusives like Titanfall, Peggle2,PvZ)
Fundamentally, it doesn't matter whether or not games are first-party or second-party. But it does put a point for certain perspectives in the long-run. The long-run was what supported PS3's strong software output year-after-year.
Maybe it is just me as European, but whatever Micro brings to the table with XBOX, I am never gonna buy one because of the shit they do with NSA. I dont want to give a Company like this my money sorry.

This reason erks me every time. Your phone, laptop, tablet, etc all have cameras that the NSA or any other government agency could use to see/track you. Same could be said if you the PS4 camera. Also, you could just unplug the kinect you know?Maybe it is just me as European, but whatever Micro brings to the table with XBOX, I am never gonna buy one because of the shit they do with NSA. Oh, just in time.

Canned questions and rehearsed answers but still good to hear his vision and the direction he plans to take the company. I have faith in him.
This series was such a waste of Rare and MS's time and money. NO!

Whats the fucking point paying for the camera then lol, anyway
The point is that the concern is...weird and really unfounded. And just plain silly. If you're really THAT worried, lol, just unplug it.
As for those of us who are perfectly normal, we can keep the camera plugged in, though I agree MS really needs to do more to demonstrate that it's really value added.
Phil made it seem that the new CEO and himself have the same ideas of where Xbox is heading and should go. This is very pleasing news to me. E3 is going to be amazing this year!
Guys guys guys, you are being too positive about Microsoft and the Xbox one. You are suppose to be Sony ponies because gaf is paid by Sony.
Some of our ideas are reasonable so long as you ignore the troll/crazy posts.

What he said and also kinect is awesome for games like kinect sports/just dance and navigating through the OS. This is derailing the thread so enough of this talk. The point is that the concern is...weird and really unfounded. And just plain silly. If you're really THAT worried, lol, just unplug it.

Another quality contribution.
Ive always considered it bizarre the people that think they're interesting enough to spied on whilst they're sitting in their living room or whatever on Kinect... I can't think of anything less interesting. The important shit is on my PC and phone thats where they need to get me.
Edit: Seems RSBeaver loves a little drive by:

Completely unrelated GIF to what the thread was about, looks like trolling:
Cute little Sony one too:
Bizarre to say the least
dat post history
I totally expect it from one MS employee interviewing another MS employee. It would be foolish not to. This is basically them trying to find a way for him to say "hey I'm the new sheriff in town, I'm listening to you and this is how I plan to run things from here on out". They just chose to do it in interview form.I have to say, though, you expected anything other than rehearsed questions? This is kind of how you do things like this. Doesn't mean any of it isn't genuine.
You take that back right now! Viva Pinata is one of the best games Rare has ever made, easily. It didn't gain such a cult following by being a "waste of time."
The reason it didn't sell as well as it could have was because it was marketed REALLY poorly. Even Rare was really upset with MS for the marketing, if I remember correctly.
I am glad my thread has helped Phil. Genuinely. I want all systems to be healthy this generation, and if my thread is a part of a new dialog starting between gamers and Microsoft, we will all benefit.

Great interview. Just wish Larry would step out of the frame. He bugs me out. E3 will be interesting.
What's wrong with dat post history?
In all seriousness, I hope Phil Spencer will do a great job. As a Xbox and Xbox 360 owner as well as a PS1, PS2 owner, I am waiting to see what both consoles (Xbox One/PS4) can offer me. As both seem very "meh" at the moment. They both need to prove their commitment to their product.
Sounds promising. That said, it's too bad that the product is... flawed (higher price, weaker than the competitor, ESRAM, etc.) and it's too late to change that. Not to mention that the Xbone is not even out in my country. I'm expecting a great E3 conference from them, but no matter what, Xbox won't stand a chance outside NA and the UK.
The higher price can be adjusted, they said theyre in it to win and they must know that the price has to go down.
The question is whether they're prepared to sacrifice Kinect to ensure it does drop which I don't think they should do but... you never know, I can see why they would but it would be a shame.

Yeah, you're right. I'm not an expert, but I remember reading that ESRAM's price will go down only slowly. With Kinect, anything is possible IMO. They might drop it at some point, but they might as well keep it, almost no matter what. A major price drop is probably not an option, because MS doesn't want to lose a lot of money with their console business anymore. Still, even with a lower price, I think their situation outside NA and the UK is pretty hopeless. But even then, it seems that the Xbone is going to sell at least "enough" in its biggest markets.
MS went with DDR3 because they needed a large memory pool for what they were planning (multitasking, etc). And GDDR5 wasn't guaranteed to be available in large enough quantities so they went with DDR3 and used ESRAM to counter the lack of bandwidth that DDR3 brings with it.Actually, I thought I read that the ESRAM, while maybe not as good, would go down in price a lot quicker than what the PS4 uses, so that's why MS went with it over GDDR5.

..but Larry just seems like a d***** to me sorry.
No offense but I think you might be getting too excited about what your preaching. This isn't exactly the thread for this stuff.Got to admit this NSA Box is really really funny.
Guy I didn't want to start a conversation about all the Micro and NSA stuff and just want to say i dont want to throw money at them because everyone knows about their policies.
It is really different to hack or use illegal activities to get your data or a company just open every single bit for you to get, what Micro did. USA founds those companys, to keep the monopoly up.
The reasoning " I dont care who watches me and collect my data" is just dump sorry. People who say stuff like that really dont care , that their humans rights ( USA should be big in this) is completely ignored. And do you care if I upload a clip where you bang your gf )
All these datas have a huge potential for hackers, economy and so on. There is no reasoning behind NSA policies, just none. It is just about controlling people and selling datas. Americans are a bit ignorant in that matter i guess, because media is more controlled over there. Anybodys who says he got nothing to hide is just lying ,sorry. (Privacy? Body? Datas? )
Microsoft was the biggest donator and i really dont trust them. Furthmore it is alot easier to protect your PC than your Xbox. I dont want so say other companies are not doing the same, but we know for sure Microsoft is the heart of all of that. Google complained massively about hackings, and sued.
I am not saying the ONE is a bad console. It got good games and they can invest heavily. I am just saying i dont want to support a company with the perfect spy bot ( just look at their scary add patents). Well that was a little bit offtopic, so lets not stretch it further.
Phil Spencer is a good guy, but Larry just seems like a d***** to me sorry.
I can hear you.
