Has anyone who's purchased either Strike Suit Zero or Lego Hobbit tried snapping them? I noticed in Chris Charla's tweeted picture showing Strike Suit Zero's store page, it says Snappable, as does Lego Hobbit. Checked some other older games on the store and they don't say snappable.

It means things can be snapped to the game like YouTube or TV not that the game is actually snappable into the smaller quadrant.

Im hoping we will get some more dates at PAX East. Pretty sure NinjaBee are going (Nutjitsu) and Capy will be there showing off Super Time Force and Below which the former in QA etc, they said before May/June.

That's what I assumed but it seems like a weird addition to the Store details since pretty much every game can have a different app snapped to the side.

Wasn't the rumor that they may allow devs more GPU instead of being able to snap?

I'll be there asking questions to any indie I see. I also am planning to meet with Undead Labs at some point :)

Any reviews yet for Strike Suit Zero? Tempting to buy it, but would like to read some impressions first.

Banjo, I trust in you to get the information we require if other people wont!

pressplay_games: Packing for Pax! We have great new stuff to show you when we get there #PAXEast

Steverulez: Don't suppose you'll be announcing your 360/XB1 game for later in the year there?

pressplay_games: you never know ;)

Steverulez: I know someone that's going, I will get them to seek you out and demand an announcement if you don't do it willingly!

pressplay_games: we will tell you all (but tell your friend to find us, perhaps there is something for him to try)

Very happy about that, looks like a charming game!

Also can't wait to see Press Play's new game!

Sure does, I backed it back when it started, it still need like $40K as of a couple days ago so I'm very happy they got the ground covered quickly with the remaining funds. ETA is Q2 2015, but I'm fine with that :)

Regarding Press Play, I'm starting to think their new game might be the game that was filed for a trademark when Tentacles was; called Ori and the Blind Forest. Could be a game from someone else, but I just think maybe MS went ahead and trademarked both of Press Play's new games at the same time(?). We should find out at PAX East tomorrow either way!

Press Play's new game is called Totem and is out on Xbox One/360 in October. Someone posted a screengrab from Edge's latest edition, but I know that isn't allowed to post directly here.

edit: Removed the link, rather not chance it, but Google should be your friend ;).

Well that's disappointing after seeing what they're capable of from the Max game.
But this was probably just a quick game that their "B team" did.
I'd imagine they have something bigger in the works.

The article mentions that the two designers that came up with the game were given a small team, so that is very possible.

Yeah I just read the article and it turns out that's exactly what it is; a small side project.

Looks likes a fun little puzzle game.

They were doing voice recording back in January for a game, and their two announced games, this and Tentacles don't strike me as games that require voice acting. I'd imagine that some of the Tentacles team is transitioning to this, and the bulk of the Max team has moved onto another "mid-sized" platformer like Max was.

This does look pretty interesting though.

Just bought it and can confirm.

"Brotherly love abounds in press plays puzzle platformers"

I'll post more later if someone doesn't beat me too it I'm out atm

Just saw Powerstar Golf is getting a new course, Coyote Canyon. Will be at The Next Level booth at PAX.
I've been really enjoying powerstar so a new course will be nice.

Awesome. Powerstar is probably my favorite game to pick up and play a round at a time. From the name it sounds like it could be a desert theme, which would be cool.

Do we have a thread for xbo stuff generally?

I want to know what exclusives I might have to look forward to if I bought one. Indie or otherwise.

Either this one or the monthly threads.

I guess we have

D4
Fable Legends
Untitled Halo game
Untitled Gears of War
Sunset Overdrive
Quantum Break
Super Time Force
Below (timed exclusive)

And then you have a bunch of stuff like the new magic game etc. exclusive to Microsoft platforms.

Not much else is known so far. You might get a better picture after E3.

Not actually that important
Let me see if I understood this right or if hopefully I'm missing something:

downloadable games (they're not called XBLA anymore, are they?) have no mandatory demos anymore, now it's like on PSN (awful decision, this was one of the many things MS got right back then when XBLA started)?

There's a whoppin' total of 7 game's demos to download on the store (Zumba, NBA Live, Fifa, DR3, KSR Pre Season, Lego Marvel and maybe one more title that I'm missing atm) + Killer Instinct, is that it?

Yeah pretty awful. Gold was always worth it for me because everything had a demo. Getting rid of that is a big mistake.

Yes.

A game is a game is a game now.

Developers hated the mandatory demos and it caused problems in many instances (most recently it was with Monaco) so Microsoft got rid of them.

Hoping for good stuff at e3 then, eek. Altho ps4/wiiu lineups are bleak for me too. All the multiplats I'll get on pc.

We did, then got told to move it to OT, which we did, then some mod closed it after like 40 posts for whatever reason, so we kinda just use this one as it's most active.

Of course developers hated having to put out demos. That would mean gamers would actually get a chance to try out some the crappy games that have come out BEFORE buying them *GASP*. In all seriousness though, that sucks that developers don't like them because there was literally at least 10-15 times when I tried out a demo of an XBLA game with no intention to buy it and ended up liking the game so much I bought solely on my experience in the demo. So, as much as they hate it they are possibly missing out on sales this way. Plus, if you are confident in your game why would you not want to put out a demo to convince people who are on the fence?

Yeah, that first thread was great because it allowed us to talk hardware specifics and troubleshooting, too. It was a great resource.
