Yeah they were pretty cool yet annoying as hell. Kinda like the Crawlers.

I'd like a redesign of them being more ferocious looking except without the Godzilla type heads.

Covenant stuff is largely protected by shields, meaning less emphasis on the material construction. In fact most Covenant stuff gets turned into tin can debris by conventional human weaponry. The knife is likely titanium or some other hard metal. It might be stated in the bible actually, I will go look.

I imagine the holy book is in a locked fault made from unknown steel, guarded by 3 war sphinxes.
