I hope it's Halo 5 and not a Gears teaser.

I have no interest in seeing a completely fabricated CG trailer with little to no relation with the actual game. We know the game has been in development for only a couple of months. A trailer is useless at this point.

I wish to see as little CG trailers as possible this E3. Ubisoft was terrible in that regard last year. I know it won't happen though, everyone keeps doing these CG things that show nothing whatsoever about how the actual game is going to play or feel....

I think Rod Fegusson will come out on stage and present a Gears CG trailer sometime during the coming later section of the conference. Halo 5 will close the show out unless Spencer knows it's what everyone is expecting and instead shows that during the conference as well as then ends with something that none of us could have predicted.

So how do guys think MS will try to end the show? I can see it being Phil announcing a price cut to $399 and then having a one more thing reveal with a big exclusive like Fallout 4 or something. Would be crazy and definitely turn some heads.

I feel like a pricecut (or new SKU) announcement should be saved for Gamescom. That would put it closer to the Tier 2 launch and games like Destiny and Sunset Overdrive.

It's not going to sell very well during the summer months anyway.

I disagree, I think that very few people still care about the possibility of Goldeneye HD. We got Perfect Dark HD, and nothing happened; we got a Goldeneye remake of sorts, twice, and the Earth didn't shatter. Goldeneye should remain just a nice memory.

Goldeneye: Rogue Agent and Goldeneye Wii doesn't really have anything to do with the N64 game. The Wii Game is based on the same story, but it is a drastically different game.

As for the sales potential of a Goldeneye Remaster: Perfect Dark was never as popular as Goldeneye. I have friends that are still talking about Goldeneye, but none of them had ever tried Perfect Dark before I showed it to them.

Goldeneye HD would obviously not be a mega blockbuster, but it would definitely be a perfect opportunity for MS to prey on people's nostalgia.

It's kind of the opposite of the "Game On" tagline: To procure and spend money on a trailer that we KNOW for a fact does not represent a product that's even close to being a game. By all means, bring out Rod and have him talk about what they are thinking with the game and what direction it might take, if they are already that far into pre-production. But to actually go out and produce a CG trailer just to have something to show?

I get that. Might as well just hold off on mentioning Gears entirely than so next year you can show off some gameplay or in engine visuals rather than rolling CG. I would love to see Halo 5's general gameplay and setting trailer. Also a full HD upgrade of the Halo 2 E3 reveal would feel me with nostalgia tingles.

All that said, they need to have something huge to end the show to top Titanfall.

We gotta remember that a lot of "casual" gamers pay attention to E3. They probably don't know that there is a new Gears is in the works. As far out as it is, having some one come out and saying "we are working on it" is a lot less exciting than a CG trailer.

Well, I think it goes against the whole idea they've been selling of highlighting games -- rather than fabricated videos with little to no relation with the actual product.

But maybe I'm overstating it a bit based on my own personal preferences.

Funny, this map calls Clayton Ravine "Shonash Ravine"... that must be an old Indian name for it. It's perfect, a nice long run that goes clear across the bridge over the ravine to the, you know, over near that E3 conference center.

To be honest I am really hoping for a new Viva Piñata. That game was one of the quirkiest and one of my favourite titles on the 360 and it could take good advantage of Kinect to smack the piñata.

I am hyped for e3 as Ms need to bring big games to the xbox one.

Agreeing with those who say that the trailer needs to be the game. Not a damn CGI. But I feel that for every game not just an ending one.

They may still be in the prototype/very early stages of development so I doubt we will get anything more than a cgi teaser with a voice over and logo. That's if they decide to announce it this year, I wouldn't if I was them, I would keep it for next year.

I just want to see something else from Rare. Even it's just an HD, digital only "remake" of some of their classic IP. Conker's Bad Fur Day? Jet Force Gemini? Heck, even update and port over the Banjo games and Perfect Dark from 360. There are so many fans if Rare's old IP that a nice Rare collection of games would be quite successful.

HD "remakes" aside, a f2p Viva Pinata, a new Battletoads, or platforming based Banjo would all be awesome. Maybe even a new IP!

At this point I would settle for a game logo and targeted release date mentioned in a brief sentence. I just want confirmation they're working on one of their old IP. I really hope it's Viva Pinata or Banjo, but I'd be pretty happy with Perfect Dark, Blast Corps, or Battletoads.

I'll freak the fuck out if they deliver on my dream game of Viva Pinata X Animal Crossing X How to Train Your Dragon.

It absolutely would! There is a lot of potential in that. They sort of did that with Trouble in Paradise with the Vision Camera. It was a somewhat similar concept, only it used cards instead of figurines. It wasn't as successful as it was more-or-less just a side feature with little exposure.

Correct that is why I am saying no matter what game they show I want a trailer with actual gameplay. Not a CGI. Heck I would rather have them just throw up a title banner with some music than a CGI. CGI's just cause freaking havoc. But what I want and reality are rarely in synch

But I think Gears will be there, because its getting a HD remake of some sort. I assume the Black Tusk sequel/reboot whatever it is isn't coming out until 2016 and I don't see Microsoft leaving the franchise dormant that long. Will be a good idea to get it on Xbox One before then.

I personally don´t - In the US at least they don´t need to. They sell 80-90% of PS4 each month, which is pretty ok for the higher price point.

In Europe they would definitely need it, but then they have the problem of not having an equal price around the world.

A Gears HD remake and port of 2 and 3 like the way ntkrnl said they are doing with H2A would be awesome. I'd take that, it could be their spring or summer game for next year.
