destiny will likely end up like titanfall. itll sell well but not be the COD like hit people were expecting. halo 5 and COD will cannibalize destiny sales during the holiday especially on the xbone.

Next year. It's a whole year until then. Halo 5 is so remote that it'll have next to no impact on sales for another 12 months.

You can see them glassing the planet in the back ground. There was nowhere to go.

If anything Noble Team was more interesting in one game than MC was across three.

Reach wasn't glassed right away, only polar regions first as the Covies were digging for Forerunner stuff on the planet. At very least he could have hijacked a Covenant dropship and rammed it to a bigger ship, doing much, much more damage he ever did on the ground.

The scene is lame and forced as it is.

It's like this is their second E3 or something.

Pre-E3 announcements are nothing new. Forza Horizon, Gears of War 3 were announced prior to E3. Sony's done this a lot as well, Killzone 3, inFamous 2, LBP Karting, God of War: Ascension. Heck, Nintendo as well. Hyrule Warriors, Pokemon remake on 3DS.

It's actually somewhat of an honour for a game to have enough clout on its own right to be announced outside of E3.

Call of Duty and Destiny are both published by Activision. I doubt they're investing 500 million dollars into Destiny, just to let it compete head on with Call of Duty. As for Halo 2 anniversary, it will be a big game for Xbox One, but suggesting it will "cannibalize Desting sales" is ridiculous.

That, Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 (pls) is a pretty impressive slew. Not gonna turn the Xbone into a huge best seller, but it will help.

I think it's important not to judge Spencer as boss too early, the guy has been in charge for only a few weeks. I hope they bring more new ip like they have with Sunset Overdrive & Quantum Break. Nice news for Halo fans today anyway.

DX13 isn't gonna make this game 1080p...343i chose the words for this press release very carefully...you don't throw around tech specs like "60fps" so proudly and with such confidence and simply forget to mention the resolution...

This will be just like BF4...343 will dodge the resolution question for the next year and a half, talking about the "60fps experience" and how important it is...right up until the end and it will be somewhere between 720p and 900p...the recently popular 792p is where I would set the over/under...

60fps is a lock, that's what they're targeting. It's way too early for them to know what resolution it'll be capable of running at smoothly. That's why they haven't announced it yet. These things get easier over time for developers so it should look better than what we have now.

Impossible, no. But I think a lot of people on GAF think the industry cares a lot about the NPD thread on this forum each month. They don't. The people who truly care about those threads, and really take the results to heart, are a niche of this forum.
