No, Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 5: Guardians are the only two mainline games with subtitles. The others are just called Halo 2/3/4.

Judging by what has been said I imagine Halo 2 is getting a fresh coat of paint and its own release and we may see a "Journey" collection with a ported Halo 1: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 in there as well.

I quite liked the first half of the campaign but I didn't like the Prometheans as an enemy. The dogs were shitty cannon fodder, the Watchers annoying as they could revive dead enemies and the Knights fucking annoying because they could teleport and barely moved aside from that. I hope they work on the enemy troops for Halo 5.

Noble 6's death was awesome. S/he took on legions of invading Elites and eventually succumbed to overwhelming numbers. All of Noble Team were great. What ever happened to Jun? It wasn't some shit which was expanded upon in the novels or comics, was it? I'd like to see Jun return in a future Halo game.

No, this is the only mainline instalment since the first game to have a subtitle.

Not gonna get hyped just yet.

343 proved to me they ain't got what it takes to make a decent halo game. They need to redeem that with media blowouts.

I'd actually put reach ahead of 4.

So they were forced into this announcement with npds, this means either they are sure as hell that their show will be tits with or without it or they had to get investors happy again without e3 even being a month out. I hope it's not the latter.

Are Ny of those 3 really bombs? We've known about Sunset Overdrive for quite some time...knowing a new Halo is coming is like knowing a new CoD or Battlefield is coming, it's just a matter of time (what else would 343 be working on...the studio was created solely to make Halo games)...and the Kinectless Xbone we all knew was going to come too...maybe not this soon, but we knew it was going to happen...

I have not played Halo four, I only played 3 and didnt really like it.

I'm talking to my buddy about this now, he said he really disliked Halo as a series, but Halo 4 was great.

What is it about Halo 4 that people didnt like? Is it the same Quality that others liked that they didnt like about the first Halo games, if that makes sense?

If top-spartan is any of the following:

  • Sarah Palmer
  • Robo-Cortana
  • m cheif's new armor
Then consider my tears ripe for Fronkle's martini glass. If this is some new character that's hunting down m cheif, then that could be neat. Would actually be pretty interesting if top-spartan had a new Cortana that s/he's using to aid in their cheif-hunt.

He went out like a wimpy loser. A frigging Spartan, a badass trained in various types of warfare, gets surrounded and dies an utterly pointless death? Why didn't he evade and escape and start a guerrilla warfare campaign against the Covies? Spartans should be able to do that alone, especially a lone wolf like Noble Six, since it is established he has experience working alone.

It a was fucking stupid death and ending, though ultimately it is the least of Reach many, many issues.

Also, Destiny is being backed by one of the biggest publishers out there with a $500M marketing budget. It'll do just fine.

destiny will likely end up like titanfall. itll sell well but not be the COD like hit people were expecting. halo and COD will cannibalize destiny sales during the holiday especially on the xbone.

Thinking the exact same thing,,,Halo 5 + Forza 6 (we know it will be there) + another price drop (I'm assuming we see it by next year) and I'll finally have no more excuses to avoid buying an Xbone

Cboat dropped this news yesterday as far as I can tell with that GOTG pic. The same time the gaming press got it. Shinobi knew about it yesterday as well.

Curious to see his level of access right now because this isn't a leak that renews my trust in him. A lot of people knew this was going to drop as of yesterday.
