Target Triple Trade-in Value from 5/18-5/24

My notes so far:

Ryse, Forza, Dead Rising 3, and Kinect Sports Rivals are all on sale at target for $40 this week. They can be traded in for $45 store credit. I expect them to fix this loophole pretty quickly, so if you want to trade those games in I would get on it pretty quick.

New copies of Wolfenstein are $60 with a Free $10 Target Gift card included. If you buy it, finish it, and take it back to Target before the end of the week, I suspect you will probably get about $55 in store credit.....meaning at the end of the day Target will have paid you to rent and finish Wolfenstein, and you will have a code that gives you access to the Doom Beta. You will probably want to wait and see though if Wolfenstein gets added to their trade catalog in a timely fashion.

It's probably a good time to purchase any game with a brief 5-10 hour singleplayer mode, and flip it back quickly for a loss of $5-8.

If it doesn't show up on the site does that mean you can't trade it in? I'm asking because some ps2 games I have will show up but some ps3 stuff is not.

WTF?! Is this for real? Glad I traded it to GS for $40. Still, I was tempted by this for TLoU since it's $30 at BB and over $33 with the promotion. Shame it's a GC and not cash

Edit: And Pikmin 3 is $60 new on their website, seriously, what the hell?!

Thinking of trading:
Ocarina 13.33 x 3 39.99
Fire Emblem 12.66 x 3 37.98
Kid Icarus 11.50 x 3 34.50
Game & Wario 9.33 x 3 27.99
NFS:R PS4 18.32 x 3 54.96
MGS: GZ PS4 9.33 x 3 27.99
NSMBU 9.59 x 3 28.77
ALBW 12.66 x 3 37.98
Would walk out with around $290 just in time for the drop on the One.

Just came back with around $180. Sold: AC4, BF4, KZ SF, and Ghosts. All for PS4. Amazing deal guys, get on this if you're done with any next gen titles.

I can't seem to get PS2 games to even know up on the online thing. Do they accept them at the store? I'd be willing to trade in a few PS2 games for $15 a piece lol

It seems like the ps2 games in their system is pretty random. Like, KH1 is there, but not KH2 or COM Remix. I was pretty surprised that Graffiti Kingdom popped up.

They want to give me $5 for Fatal Frame 3 lol. sorry buddies that's not happening

Easy to offer "triple value" when they lowball you so hard on the trade-in value. I wish they were doing this for iPads and iPhones.

I don't see why it matters if they lowball you....I just got $54 for BF4. Only losing 5 bucks. Pretty damn good deal if you ask me.

Bolded is trade asap , you can get NSMBU for free if you buy mario kart 8
Need for speed is dropping fast, $25 to buy/own from gamefly , to get $54 months after launch is good
I'd say trade Metal Gear too if you beat it, you can always rent it from red box but for PS3/xbox 360

Yeah, that's the plan. NFSR was part of the B2G1 from Target at Launch, so that sweetens the deal. NSMBU is already on my plate for my Mario Kart 8 game since I have everything but Wii Party U and well.. yeah Wii Party U.

If I need GZ again, I'll pick it up down the line, but I've not played it in 2 weeks.

Lego City Undercover has a $13.55 TiV, not too bad if you can find a cheap copy. Considering trading that and G&W as well as DMC if the value is decent for that

Will go to Target and trade in some old games today.

According to the online catalog:
Pokemon Pearl: 19.98
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes: 30.00
Suikoden III: 15.00

Can't believe I'll get 30 for a Gamecube game.

Wow... I think I'm going to finish up the last of the paper trail missions on Infamous, then trade that in along with CoDG and Killzone. I also got a Smash Bros Melee disc I can trade in, too.

I've also got FE: Path of Radiance, but it looks like I can get more out of that on eBay or something?

It looks like there's a 3-game limit per customer. Has anyone run into trouble due to this? The website has no problem letting me trade in my huge list of games at once (via shipment).

So if I search it online and the game doesn't pop up, they won't accept trade ins on that game?

This is what I'm wondering too. Like, Kingdom Hearts 1 PS2 shows up but not Kingdom Hearts 2. I'm not saying I'd use my limited trade ins on those games, just an example showing that it seems a bit random..

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy is another good one.

The trade in value isn't exactly high 6.26 x 3, but the sequel has the entire first game included in it.

You don't say? If that's the case then I'll definitely trade it in considering how I got it on Black Friday for $15 before tax. Not to mention that I got bored of it quickly. I can wait for the sequel easily.

The nearest Target from me is several stops north from my area. Since it's until Saturday and I have a ton of work to do these next 5 days, no worries. I'll start compiling a list of games to trade in until I go.

The point of sale computer limits 3 trades per transaction. The nice lady at my Target just did multiple transactions.

Is that store search really accurate? I find it really hard to believe that there are zero stores in San Diego for this. I'm not driving to Temecula to trade in games.

When I went to trade in the games, the guy wouldn't give me the gift cards he said i had to buy stuff right at that moment.

Guess I'll try my luck with these...20 games lol.

Also, has anyone had success with trading in PS2 games? It seems odd that Target would be willing to pay $15 for games that are more than a decade old!

Are you in Florida? Because according to this post:

I am headed there now. You have to trade in your games at the Target Mobile Kiosk over in electronics. Also, if you live in Florida, because of "pawn laws" you have to immediately buy something with your gift card. This was discovered over on CheapAssGamer. You could buy something, then immediately return it and get your credit back, but that appears to be the only work around.

Cross Edge (PS3) - $19.98
Trinity Universe (PS3) - $21.72
South Park The Stick of Truth (PS3) - $54.96

Total = $96.66

Alright, this is my final list. Hope these prices stay the same until tomorrow. I won't really miss any of these, except Trinity Universe. It's not that I even enjoyed it, or would want to play it again. I just hate trading my games in, no matter how crappy the game is. Oh well, I can't deny $80 even for Trinity Universe.
