Transistor |OT| Super Giant Sword

Just pre-ordered.

Hope it turns out great.

Anyone know if the platinum trophy requires a hard difficulty play through? Is there even a difficulty setting?

Wouldn't that be incredibly low audio quality?

Res0gun sounds great. Stick It to the Man sounds great.

So far the audio quality out of the controller speaker has been great to me. I haven't heard an issue with it.

Whats even funnier in Stick it to the Man is fast forwarding ever so little as the people are speaking and hearing the slowly increased high pitch of the voices lol. Was funny.

It's been an issue since the store first emerged. It'll never get fixed until there are financial consequences. People like me keep buying the games despite the lackluster service. We're the real problem. My apologies. I just can't do physical anymore. PEACE.

i can share some of that blame too. though i'll always prefer physical.

Hail, peons, for I have come as ambassador from the great and bountiful Blueberry Butt Explosion
I want to thank Greg Kasavin for letting my sneak onto a Transistor station at PAX East before the show started on the last day. When you run your own booth, the only chance you have to play other people's games is before the show starts, and Greg was very kind to indulge me for a few minutes before the wave of people arrived.

Absolutely love the demo, and cemented my need to play the game. Cannot wait.

It's actually pretty good, stick it to the man used it as well.

I really have high standards as far as audio quality goes, so I really do find that hard to believe. I do have a DS4 for my PC controller, but currently have a PS4 to test it out.

Either way, I wouldn't really describe that as an advantage, a cool gimmick at best. Would much prefer to have the excellent narration that Supergiant is known for piped through my nice headphones.

All of the Steam achievements directly from the Registry app. I spoiler tagged the boss names, though they really don't mean much right now without context.

FYI in case it hasn't been mentioned yet, GiantBomb.com will have a Quick Look of Transistor up at their site around the same time the game is released tomorrow.

No it won't, the Playstation four controller is of the highest quality.

Having never used a PS4 controller, this is what I envision it sounding like.
The Wii controller sounds terrible...

Kinda wish this was available on GMG for some coupon goodness, though I may just buy it off Steam in a few days even if it isn't.

I'm not quite sure why I feel compelled to buy this at full MSRP. While I did enjoy the gameplay to Bastion, I didn't quite fall in love with the combat system nearly as much as I did the atmosphere. I guess I really like the idea of seeing these guys create a game in the Sci Fi realm this time. Plus what little I've seen and heard of the combat makes it seem like I might prefer it over what Bastion had. Probably will check out some reviews and impressions before making a decision to buy now or wait.

the speaker on the controller is surprisingly decent, and i've had great results streaming audio through the headphone port, I don't even bother with my sennheiser 160s anymore

the voice of the talking sword comes out of the controller on ps4

the lightbar pulses along

the choice is clear
Please tell me you can reroute the audio to headphones if they're connected. It worked fine for Resogun and Shadow Fall but I had recent problems with both Mercenary Kings and Stick It To The Man not having that option. I also covered the light bar with electrical tape like 5 days after launch. I want to be able to play games in private without disturbing other people, these controller gimmicks aren't helping any.

Edit: Seda you are a God. Just rerouting though right? Not entirely turning off, because that'd be pointless.

Well, I didn't use headphones or anything,

When I said turn off, I meant I just opted to have the spoken dialogue come through normally with the rest of the audio instead, not through the controller. It's just a toggle in the menu.

Yeah.. that is a reason for me to avoid it on remote play, so maybe I'll just get it on Steam.
As weird as that sounds.. lol

The Nvidia Shiled is $199 right now, and I think you cna get a discount if you are planning a GPU upgrade any time soon.

Can do local streaming on that thing too at 60 FPS ;)

Pretty sure the store on PC updates earlier than the one on the console for some reason.

Steam has (generally) been very punctual about its 09:00 Pacific update time every morning, where it will release games and update the store sales. If in doubt, check the store page for the game in question, which will state exactly when the game will unlock. Then it's a simple matter of restarting Steam to coordinate everything for a smooth experience.

Steam can be unreliable at times, but this is one way in which it never falters.

Game releases are independent from the Steam store refresh.

They can be at any time of day and are put in place by the developers.

I'm sure it'll be as good, likely better. But the combat doesn't seem to be much like Bastion. Which worries me. I might not enjoy playing it quite as much as I did Bastion.

Yeah I loved the real-time ARPG twin stick gameplay of Bastion. If the tactical combat offers something new without breaking the flow then I'll enjoy it. But my biggest worry it that it will.

In my experience new PSN games, demos, etc. are typically available via search on the Web store or PSN store before the actual PSN storefront gets fully updated. As items get uploaded to the backend you can usually find and download them by searching. In the past couple months or so, items seem to be uploaded between 2-3 PM EST.
