Supporting the 360? Or is that not a criticism anymore?
I don't know that people wanted ms to support the 360 with the same games they were releasing on xbox one, lol. Come on. I think they were talking about 2011-2013 but whatever

Southern Europe is amazing news! Couldn't pick a better location. I hope rally is incorporated from the start. I hope weather impresses. Drive tar returning is fantastic news too. It worked very well in fm5 even if it was a bit on the aggressive side. Even without tweaks it should work better here. Besides, anything is better then the crazy rubber and ai from the first game. Can't wait to see media. When will we see media?

A bit concerned about cross gen. Hopefully playground is going balls to the wall with the x1 version then someone else is working on trying to fit it onto 360

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Hype now totally deflated due to cross-gen. No way that doesn't affect graphics.

Loved the first game.

Also, why all of these announcements BEFORE E3?

I was really prepared to drop 400 for an XB1 if this was an exclusive, but it's cross-gen?

I wonder how much of a difference there will be between the two, aside from the graphics.

FH looked great already, if 2 looks just as good as 1 did on 360, why bother upgrading?

Saw that there were two versions of the game and decided not to scroll down. I already know it's going to be the same comment over and OVER: "crossgen blah blah"

Y'all are so generic with your whining.

Seriously, there is an unnecessary amount of hate in here. Looking forward to seeing more.

It´s almost as if people were mad because the spent 400 bucks on a new machine and were promised the next generation in gaming only to find themselves stuck in cross-gen hell a year later.

Exactly what ambitions are being limited here?

It's an open-world racing game with a full day/night cycle and weather system.

Besides shinier graphics (which they can do anyway for the XB1 version), what exactly would they be doing differently if it was XB1-only?

AI, number of cars, not having to create assets twice, not having to optimize twice, human ressource allocation, global scaling of the game to the inferior hardware..

Announced a week before E3? The press conference is going to be very interesting to see with this and Halo 5 already out there.

Also saw the crossgen whining coming from a mile away once I saw 360 in the title.

Oh Microsoft, you didn't support the 360 when you should have done it, now you're giving your fans more reasons not to upgrade from the 360 and in the process the game will be hold back in some form by its cross gen nature. I guess that the 360 experience is indeed really comfortable :p

There are very few games that aren't just better graphics...that could have been last-gen.

Infamous:SS, Killer Instinct, etc...could have been last gen if it wasn't for an uptick in "graphics" and/or particles/effects.

Scale was freaking huge in Horizon 1....sooo

Yeah, but those were launch titles.

By now everyone is expecting real Next-Gen focused titles.

There you go MS - this is how you push your new hardware....

Saves me from dropping 400 so MS are A-OK in my book right now.

It´s almost as if people were mad because the spent 400 bucks on a new machine and were promised the next generation in gaming only to find themselves stuck in cross-gen hell a year later.

It's almost like they never learn with each new generation.

To everyone suggesting the cross gen thing makes business sense, I really think it doesn't, and we've already seen evidence of this.

While there are 80 million owners of both the 360/PS3, you always have to think about how many of those people are active users of those consoles. Based on evidence like GT6 it would seem not all that many.

I think cross gen only makes a lot of sense for monster franchises, like COD, Assassin's Creed, etc.

I bet the press conferences are nothing but gameplay trailers for these games and no new announcements.

So instead of responding to the complaint with an argument of your own you just complain about it. Very constructive.

But they did. They had quite a few first party downloadable titles in that time span. Those count now right? The current mantra is "a game is game" whether its downloadable or retail, right? Right? :p

Congrats MS on letting the gamers that jumped from 360 to PS4 have another game this fall instead of building up a case for making the upgrade.

What an odd decision.

I look forward to seeing the game next week though.

Cross-gen release is super weird. Surely this will hold the game back in some ways on Xbox One but I guess 360 owners will be happy being kept in the loop

Cross gen strikes again. I mean i can understand that companies want that past install base cash but it makes it less inticing to move onto the newer systems when you get the same stuff on the older hardware. Hopefully we see less cross gen after 2015.

For a detective, you're not really in the know, are you?

On-topic - money from both gens as opposed to just one. Wish they would just stick with one console, but you can't blame them for wanting to gran sales from people who might only have bought the PS4 (yet still own a 360).

lol :p

I know Spencer said that they have to much to show at E3 and having problem fitting everything in those 90 minutes and there will be game announcement prior to E3, But still.

Those are 5 major games that has been shown/ Announced prior to E3

Halo
Sunset Overdrive
Forza
Quantum Break
Fable

Maybe they have new things to show?

What are the TITANFALL numbers between Xbox One and 360 Worldwide?

It´s almost as if people were mad because the spent 400 bucks on a new machine and were promised the next generation in gaming and find themselves stuck in cross-gen hell a year later.

People who bought "Official Forza Motorsport Wheel Fanatec CSRE" in 2012 spent 700$ for their wheel and pedals...

...and Microsoft made their investment useless in 2013.

So, this is a great news for all Forza loyal fans who are left behind the next-gen walls of awesome with their setups.

Crossgen, eh? Woot! Now I don't need to buy a One for this.

Forza and XCom were tied for my GOTY when they came out, so I'm pretty stoked about this.

I don't know that people wanted ms to support the 360 with the same games they were releasing on xbox one, lol. Come on. I think they were talking about 2011-2013 but whatever

There is this, though. I can definitely see why people would be upset.
But then again Y2Kev is really a robot fueled by the destroyed dreams and finished fantasies of human beings, soooo :p

Those people should have learnt from previous generations then.

Releasing no more 360 games was bad right up until they announced one.

Day one anyhow.

LMAO, yup! All the "they will abandon the 360 userbase... typical MS" posts. A fairly large game comes for 360, and it's an issue, never change GAF. I imagine the 360 version will be a fraction of what the Xb1 version will be. And I also guarantee there will be double-dippers/Achievement hunters so there will be sales there as well. All profit for MS. Can't imagine Horizon alone would be a system seller, but who knows with advertising. Especially if it favors the Xb1 version during, say, the World Series or Week 1 of the NFL.

This shows that MS have very little fait in the xbone at the moment. Its obviously not as profitable as they thought it'd be.

Weird choice, but makes me reaally really happy, because I cant afford an XBone :(

It'll be pretty funny if they announce that the weather.. and drivatar are only on the Xbox One versions. Is it announced that both versions are exactly the same already?
