Little Big Planet 3 Shown PS4 (November 2014)

I'm sure it's been addressed somewhere already, but we're thinking cross-gen for this, right? Visually it doesn't look much different to LBP2.

The first thing I thought when the demo ended, getting those materials bubbles from the multiplayer puzzles is going to suck. Then again I don't think I would even try creating in this game, since I never did in 2. Visuals rule in LBP and that was not my strong suit.

Really liking them actually allowing "3D" this time, and the multiple characters. Not liking that, due to the game's nature, nothing here really looks NEW. A lot of it looks like something that could be made in LBP2.

This was the most random surprise. I loved every second of it.

I would say they need better people to play the game, but when you play LBP with friends it ends up exactly like that. There's always that one person that's slower then everyone else.

Awesome! Sony really needed another 2014 title.

Infamous + Driveclub + LBP. Not great, but not bad for the first full year of console availability.

And next year with Order + Uncharted + Bloodborne.

Yes, it can be made in PS3 but they wanted to make a PS4 game with sack boy world but not to innovate/bring some big changes over LBP2 in this. However, they have added many new features, powers up, tools etc., They will explain about this game more before release so everyone can see what it has compared to LBP2.

I was never able to get into LBP2; maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. This looked awesome though and the demo had me smiling throughout.

Sony really needed this game to help their lineup out for the end of the year. I'll definitely be grabbing this and Driveclub.

Its going to be drastically different. People felt sorta the same after seeing LBP2, then when they played it, totally different story.

I wonder if LBP will see a sales spike, they always did well but it might blow up if the ps4's momentum carries into the holidays.

Toggle! As soon as there's some good art out there of him, my new avatar it will become. :)

It's so weird seeing other sack creatures. Swoop and Toggle just look too off for me.

Oddsock was just fucking hilarious to see. I hope you can ride it. I would have been happy with just Oddsock becoming a sidekick, and making Swoop and Toggle other classes of Sackboy.

Basically, a Sackboy that could turn into a giant or small, and a Sackboy that had mechanical wings to fly.

Swoop also looks a little too versatile.

I really did wish they would tighten up the platforming, even though I never complained to the same extent as others about it. There is an awkwardness to jumping between "Planes" in LBP, and I hope it's more seamless now.

I hope Mm is making a title that is fully 3D. I was hoping LBP 3 would allow for the full 3rd dimension, but I hope the creation tools allow for changes in perspective like that.

I love me some LBP (particularly the Vita game), but... I dunno.

I wish there was something more to this entry. I know we're in an industry where things get annualized and this hasn't been run into the ground yet, but I was hoping for something grander. 3D platforming, I guess.

Still, if it's good I wont be shy... but I'm not in love with what I saw. Maybe they'll make good use of the DS4 and Vita second screen options.

I can't believe people go so far as to call it broken. How did I manage to play it so much? AM I too dumb to tell that the game is utterly failing to work?
No just people don't know how to adjust... It plays consistently and that's all that matters... The game is simple and takes about ten minutes to adjust to.
Also there's a million other tools to create if you don't like jumping. I made rocket 🚀 sleds on ice

I wanted full 3D too, a Super Mario/Sonic Adventure kind of world to explore.

But, there does seem to be some 3D environments to run around in... the trailer seems to show more depth (planes?), and in one part, two Toggles are racing into the screen in what seems like a 3D environment. So not totally just sidescrolling

I am so happy you can play LBP1 and 2 stages with 3, if only for the simple fact that I'm still finishing up my levels bit by bit...

Haha, you and me both. My big level was running at like 10 fps last I touched it (logic & hologram overload), so I hope the power of the PS4 can help speed that up a bit.

What does everyone think about the inclusion of the PS3 levels: neat perk or control hindrance?

I think the Vita game handled the best. Going back to the PS3 games always felt a little slower, so I was hoping this would be a 60 FPS snappy entry. Think we'll see that?

I'm hoping there is more, behind the scenes. Possibly just things they're saving for Gamescom or the like.

Little underwhelmed about it, but I do like the new characters... Thing is, seems like that stuff is technically possible with LBP2 already.

This LBP3 just doesn't seem like much of a jump in progression.

It not being Media Molecule makes a lot more sense then, though.

Sackboy, Toggle, Swoop and my dog, Oddsock.

So easy to remember. Will pick it up day one omg. So cute. They always do this with LBP announcements.

The game is 1080p too.
All the new characters are, like Sackboy, fully customizable and there will be plenty of quirky new costumes to collect in the game so you can express your own individuality.

Speaking of Sackboy – what about him? Well, our favorite knitted knight has been equipped with an all-new climbing ability and loads of brand-new power-ups including the amazing Pumpinator!

You’ll need the power of all four of these heroes as you explore all corners of the Imagisphere, meet the inhabitants of the mysterious planet Bunkum and face the nefarious Newton as he attempts to destroy a world filled with creativity.
And there is a sack-ton more; we’ve added even more features and are excited to tell you all about them in the months to come. As a kick off, we’ve added creative layers for increased depth in the game world so Sackboy and friends can now jump in and out of the screen right before your eyes, climb up stairs, skate down slides and zip-line on a puffy sponge! Getting to see some of the new gameplay in action is the best way to show you what’s new, so we’re excited to share with you this exclusive trailer we made to celebrate the announcement of LittleBigPlanet 3:

The Most Dangerous Yes Man
It looks like the other two, and it still seems to have the same issues, like jumping from one level to the other.

I wish they had fixed that, seeing it on the live presentation was not reassuring.

The floatiness really turns me off. It's like everyone's Luigi and they're drunk.

i don't know if it's me, but this looks like a ps3 game to me?
loved lbp1/2 but i don't know. It looks more like a DLC then a full (next-gen) game.
