Amiibo Packaging (Nintendo Figurine) - Wallets 'am cry

Just want to point out, if you gotta catch 'em all, and they're priced at the low end of the Skylanders spectrum ($10), you'd still be looking at $500 worth of figures for a 50-man roster in Smash. If they price them at the high end ($20), you'd be shelling out $1,000.

THAT'S A LOT OF SPACE BUCKS. Well, for little toys, anyways.

But yeah, they have me by the balls.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???

Same. I might limit myself though

Who am I kidding

I'll just be happy with a Kirby figure. Maybe Mario too... and Metroid... and DK... and maybe two Pikachus. Have to get a Link one. And a Yoshi would definitely complement my Mario one...

But that's it! I AM A ROCK!

Edit: ...and Fox...

These are all awesome but I wish more were in "battle" poses. Mario and Wii Fit trainer are fine on that front, but all of the other characters should be in a more interesting position or have extra features to the figure (Samus charging a beam shot, fox with his pistol out, pikachu charging up with sparks, villager covered in blood of the innocent, etc. etc. etc.)

I guess that just leaves room for more figures of the same characters but in more badass poses, i suppose

God... I'm gonna end up buying so many of these. If they do 10$, I'll be down for sure to throw 50$ on Korby, Villager, Pit, Link and Mario. Maybe Donkey Kong too. Nintendo is gonna make a killing off me with these and I wont even be uskng it for the games, the decorations of my favorite nintendo characters is enough.

I'm not really interested in this for the games, but that Samus figure looks awesome so I might have to get it.

Really hoping for a $10 price point. $15 is way too much for this type of thing. There's a fine line between getting everyone interested to buy some, and having it be solely for collectors. If it was only one they could raise the price even higher, but when you're talking large quantities you can't overstep too much.

That said, I'm getting Villager for sure. If they're $10 then Samus and Donkey Kong as well.

They're making a figurine for each character, right? Mac and Mega Man are probably the figurine I'd want the most so far and they haven't been shown off yet.

I was totally expecting Nintendo to make a figurine game and thought they were late to the party. Kind of surprised it was with Smash Bros, but as I think about it, it is a franchise that really makes sense. I hope Nintendo makes other Amiibo supported games too.

Really don't like floating figures. Don't like that stick that holds them up. Looks ugly. Never get figures that have those. I was gonna get a few of these assuming they were decent quality, Link to start, but Link has that ugly pole so nvm I guess. am cry.

Fox, Marth, Samus, Link, in this order. The price gouging here though will be ridiculous, I'll probably have to pay at least 50-70 dollars for one of those.

Mario Kart 8 is already out.

Captain Toad and Mario Party 10 are others.

That Peach figure is absolutely fantastic and I need it. Look at the detail on that dress!

Yeah, honestly might be my favorite one. Very well composed and I love the dimension with her dress.

Samus' was great too- I can't get over that coating. Mario's was also cool because of the translucent plastic.

I think I'll just get these for characters I really enjoy (Link, Samus, etc.). I fully expect different models though, so one design based on SSB and another for say Zelda U.

Nintendo, I will sue you if you don't release an amiibo version of Jigglypuff, I want my own super amiibo Jigglypuff that I can customize to create my own lethal Jigglypuff character, like a true Pokemon trainer.

I think all Smash characters were confirmed to have a figurine.

But they could have cut the Jigz from Smash =P

The detail on these is astounding for $10-15 toys. Hopefully the final mass production models won't have little painting errors.

Lucina and Palutena in stores WHEN???
Lucina will drop probably when SMTxFE is released, assuming it supports Amiibo figures.

Palutena will definitely be in the Smash set, but it looks like she won't be in the first wave.

Me, just give me a release date for the Sonic, Mega Man, Lucario, Greninja,
& Chrom
figures for Smash.

I was looking at the roster and thinking about which ones I was going to get, then I was like ughh... I'm probably just going to get all of them.

also, what a great way to gauge character popularity. this might have the same effect dvd sales had on cancelled tv shows.

I am going to spend way, way too much money on these. Would be nice if they somehow give Club Nintendo points, since I'm going to be sinking in the cash either way. Also hoping they're smart with bundling (IE some characters could probably use the boost, so they don't just end up clogging shelves). But yeah, these things would make amazing preorder bonuses/Club Nintendo rewards.

Also, here's a thought: they said all Smash characters, yeah? How exactly are they going to go about making a decent Game & Watch figure?

....I've never thought of it like that.

Anyway, it's a good thing that I hate having my desk cluttered. My sister on the other hand....ugh.

I said it before and I'll say it again: I'm getting DK and getting him a matching fedora/white glove.

But seriously, though, all of them are MINE!

Especially every Captain Falcon variation. ESPECIALLY especially Captain Fabulous.

I can see myself just picking up some of my favorites (Sheik, Marth, Fox), but this E3 really hasn't sold me on these things at all from a gameplay perspective.

I'll probably scan them into Smash 4 once just for shits and giggles... then onto the bookshelf they'll go.

They could go about Mr. Game & Watch one of two ways.

1. Make him flat like he appears in-game.
2. Make him a simplistic 3D black figure like he actually is in the game (yes, MG&W is actually a 3D model made flat).
