Oh ok. I ask because he gifted me the game. Should I wait until it's "officially" released or can I just start now and not have to worry about savegame compatibility and stuff.

Saves should be compatible:

Xenonauts devs said:
We have now released Xenonauts V1.0 on the Stable branch, which marks the end of formal development for Xenonauts. This is effectively the final version of the game, minus any stability patches that may be required.

None of the patch notes posted since mention potential save incompatibility.

It should be. GMG hasn't updated its blog yet so I can't be sure.

PES seems to be the only deal anyway, and im not looking to pre order anything atm anyway... was a stupid question

The code works for me. It knocks the game down to $14.85.

Edit: Annoyingly, neither GMG nor Nuuvem sell the DLC at all. It might be a better idea for me to buy the game + DLC bundle through a trader for 10 keys.

Just started playing this game:
Inquisitor

It has a weird UI, probably because it doesn't scale well to my resolution, 1440x900 ; graphics are not detailed, and the speech for most NPCs are exactly the same. But this is the first town of the game and I might play a bit more to see if this actually turns to something good, though I'm not hopeful.

for PES? yeah its 9.90€ with the code for me, so pretty much 75% off, which steam wont do probably

edit: Daedalic banner on Gamersgate still says up to 75% with no Daedalic game actually having 75%. ohyou.jpg GG

It was supposed to be sort of a big deal, everybody talked about it until it got an English release. I didn't play it myself (yet), but my understanding is that it has some good writing and so on, but the whole combat aspect is pretty bad and seriously drags the game down. At least that's what I got from discussing it with people who played it. Still, it's nice to see a new isometric CRPG every now and the.

Ah, I misread your post slightly and thought you said that PES is "deal only" (i.e. the code wouldn't stack on top of the pre-existing discount).

Just got a 23 MB update for Max Payne 3. Does anybody know what they've changed?

There are a ton of threads pertaining to start-up issues. It's likely related to that.

If anybody is prepping a Summer Badge early, I've got two extras of #5 and extras of #4 and #8.

I need #1, #2, #3 and #7.

I've already stocked up on 5 of each regular card. I'll buy a set of foils as the sale draws to a close.

It's inoffensive, really, and the detailed stats thing is kinda nice. I liked it in RDR.

I think they integrate it with their main menu or something with the updates and shit, that's the only thing I don't like about it, I remember max payne 3 loads slow because of it, and gta4 loads a lot faster in offline mode

Wow, winning Nekro just made my day for real. I've had my eye on that game for a long time, the art style, combat, and overall gameplay I remember reading were amazing. Will play soon, ty. Was it in a bundle or something, I never follow the bundles, yea.

What a horrible game title lol.
I had problems with it when I played mp3. To be able to play mp3 you need to login to social club, which is something that's not always works

Well, the story is fine but the gameplay isn't. And the lack of music makes it a bit dull, a story with this much detail deserves a good soundtrack.

Strange, it should have a soundtrack. I've not played the game, of course, but I bought the DDE and one of the goodies it includes is the OST:

Deluxe version bonuses:

Book – The Inquisitor Novel (pdf)
Book – Revelation of Ezekiel (pdf)
Artbook (pdf)
Two-hour soundtrack (38 songs)

Their servers are so shit that every time there's a sale on R* games that use it, it makes all R* games that use it unplayable due to not being able to connect.
It's a shitstain.

I jumped into the middle of the conversation. I didn't know that it was about a specific architecture. What x86 APU is on the horizon?

I know both AMD and Intel are putting out new ones coming out in the coming year. I am generalizing though, and just speaking off hand. AMD's are rumored to compete with the current gen consoles.

Dedication. Through badges or market?

I actually stored up some badges for a while to craft them during the next sale, so my ten are from that.

I decided to use the Mysterious Cards as an excuse to hit level 60, and I was at 55, so I earned half of the cards through badge crafting and bought the rest using money earned from drops. I don't see the regular cards getting much cheaper, if at all, once the sale begins as they're holding their ~25c values despite selling 2.5~3k per day. Foils, though, being more scarce, may drop a little bit once people begin to dump their spares, so I'm waiting it out on that front. I plan to just level up the regular badge to 5 and the foil to 1 so as to maintain consistency with game badges and previous sale badges.

Strange, it should have a soundtrack. I've not played the game, of course, but I bought the DDE and one of the goodies it includes is the OST:

It mostly is ambient noises, some tavern noises in the inn, some cows in the pastoral, things like that. But there is no real immersive music.
There is a music slider on the Audio tab of the settings so I assume there is something wrong on this particular installation, or maybe the music is CD Audio and not updated to Steam. But that is weird for a newish game.

It may be that there is no music set for this town but it is silly to make the starting town devoid of music.

I thought the writing in Inquisitor was among the worst game writing I have had the misfortune to subject myself. Faux middle-ages style mixed with modern slang. Though that might be the fault of translation.
But damn, everyone has far far too much too say. Pages of the stuff, of which most of is tripe and certainly does not push the plot forward. The font is bloody evil as well.

It might well be a good game underneath but I have never managed to get past the opening town.

I searched the game's Steam Community hub for "music" and just got post after post of people praising it, haha. Try verifying the cache if you haven't already; maybe the music files didn't download for some reason. I had a bizarre issue with The Witcher 2 a couple of years ago in that the version I downloaded through Steam was v1.0 rather than the latest one, but I didn't catch on to this until I was well into Flotsam and realised that despite doing all the side-quests I had yet to see a troll.

Yeah the RPGCodex review said that Music was one of the best aspects of the game.
Luckily, a restart fixed the issue so I'll wander no more in that, but I still wish they had a proper, readable dialogue box. The current one is like a masterpiece written on used toilet paper.

How does Blacklist stand up in comparison to other Splinter Cell games? I remember there being a big hubbub about it being less stealth-centric than the rest of the seres... it pan out that way or not?

Damn man, I don't know why Yaiba is till on my wish list. I know I'm going to be in for HUGE disappointment, maybe. But I'm the kind of guy that enjoyed a low-end action game like Gungrave, so I'm guessing I won't be in for a great deal of disappointment. I am kind of off put buy the game still having a $60.00 price tag. Thief came out around the same time and it's already at a $30.00 base price.

try $80 base price! (ya, that's base price for me)
I have it on wishlist, but not buying until base price is acceptable and even then I need good deal on it, seeing that half of steamgaf hates it, another half barely tolerates (of those that played, of course, and they were 2 people
(><)
