Watch_Dogs |OT| PS4 would probably melt trying to do this

I'd give it a Solid 8! I still have like 100 side missions to do, but I think I'm done.

I just finished it last night as well and can't decide either if I want to do all that side stuff or not. There's just so much. I only have 3 more peeping tom things to do I believe so I might finish those at least and I've only done 1 of the AR games so far so I'll probably try those other ones. Can't believe I haven't done the spider robot yet, heh.

Maybe I'll do a couple more gang hideouts too, those were pretty fun.

Did anyone else think that the
"By Any Means Necessary"
mission ending was absolute bullshit? (Act 3 spoilers)

Chasing Iraq through a building, suddenly he disappears, gives a "menacing" monologue and then ALL OF A SUDDEN SOLDIERS! On the roof that was empty 5 seconds ago. At first I had no idea where to go. The mission objectives said to "follow Iraq", so I thought he'd climbed down a wall. Climbed down, dead. Listened to the same crappy spiel again.

Lazy game design at its finest. It felt so out of place and disjointed.

I'm reviewing the game for our site (Yes, I know, but a late delivery of the game and E3 got in the way), and I'm honestly not sure I can stand going on much longer with it. There's so many little things that annoy and frustrate with this game.

That part was crazy lazy in my mind too. Especially since it was such a tiny area to just spawn someone behind you.
Also, I don't know if I missed any dialogue because I shot him int he head with the destroyer.

I just got an email from ubi announcing that extra content is available: 3 extra single-player mission, 5 extra single-player packs. I assume that's the season pass finally giving access to the pre-order dlc's.

Yep. There's a lot of that in the campaign though that is one of the worst offenders.

Just beat the game last night and what a snoozer it was. It was so forgettable that I don't remember transitioning from Act IV to Act V. What a waste of money.

That's because Act V is only one mission.

Just finished Act II, I may be venturing myself but I'll say that is just because this game is in fact kind of boring.

I keep playing it because there is a morbid pleasure in experiencing the atrocious writing, kinda like watching a latin soap opera.

What a clusterfuck. I checked via the game but couldn't see anything new. I then went to the main menu and checked the marketplace. I saw the access granted pack and it was ready to install, eventhough the release date is 7/1. I got back to the game and a message popped up, saying new elements unlocked...

Season Pass gets it a week early, which is just about today.
This should have been the first release, THEN the Conspiracy! digital trip. Then whatever T-Bones missions will be in another few weeks?

Thanks, I forgot that part about the season pass. I'll try the 2 new missions I got this weekend, but I suspect those won't have much length.

The tech guys at Sony literally never fail to do maintenance at literally the worst time possible....ಠ_ಠ
Anyone else having some problems with the dlc? I downloaded it and it says it's all installed but somethings aren't unlocked. Like the outfits...the only two that got added are the Cyberpunk and Blume Agent outfits.

Breakthrough mission took me 2:41 to complete. Well, hope the others are longer. It's a convoy mission.

The Palace is about 10-15 for the mainline. But it gives another 10 hard drives to locate. It's a hacking mission.

Signature Shot is about 10-11 minutes. Of that time 5 is just tailing someone. Then grab and go or shoot it out.

All are meh. At least the Palace had a little meat. The hack is simple. I had to reload twice due to it having someone basically kill me out of a scene and taking one wrong turn during the chase. The Breakthrough is pure trash though.

Didn't see anywhere else but the Access Granted Pack is available on Xbox One. It's basically all the additional content that was in the season pass besides the T-Bone campaign

Edit: never mind I see it posted above :/

Is Watch_Dogs (PS4) worth purchasing? What is the general opinion?

I return from my holiday on Sunday, and I've still got a few games to get through but I was contemplating getting this before I left - but now that a lot of people have had a lot of hands on time, what is the verdict?

Well if I have to say for myself, i've bought the game at release (Xb1) and have yet to complete Act 2. I don't know why, but I don't really feel the need or urge to play this game as much as I would like to. I mean it's a fun game, but after one mission or storyline mission I just go back to playing Fifa ultimate team or Titanfall/BF4.

Well fuck me. There is a briefcase for the human traffic side quest that is unscannable. I think i scanned it once yesterday but it's stuck in my minimap. Fingers crossed this doesn't screw up that achievement.

I would say yes, the story is a cluskterfuck, but I feel the overall game is very fun. Plus there is a ton of side missions and content to mess around with. Being honest though, I seem to be in the minority.

Just started playing today. Got the game for free with my 780 Ti Classified. Other than running really well surprisingly on my computer (All Max settings including Ultra textures + TXAA X2!) I was also staying above 60 fps 70% of the time and the 30% dropping to around 50 and rarely 45.

Anyway, I just did one of the intrusion sidequests.

God I think I was gonna cry. It was regarding the father who was on the floor who had from the description a remission of cancer. Then you hear the son who called him since he was wondering where he was and that he was gonna pick up the now deceased father. God, I wanted to go in there and try to help the old man! I felt even worst that I took money from the guy. Seriously, that was a dick move taking that money. I wish I can give it back.

I'm really enjoying the game and I've only done the first two story quests.

It's the element called 'gameplay'.

It's why people clock so many hours into MP games and stuff with deep mechanics. You can only stare at a traffic intersection for that long before it gets boring.

Completed Act 3 yesterday, trophy didnt pop. Wonder if that was related to the PSN issues? Though trophies have popped on PS3 when offline.

still don't get why aiden is still an ass.

near end of of act 3, why was he such a bitch to
t-bone in that cutscene when they went back to the bunker?

It's like the character is written by 10 different writers that didn't even bother trying to contact each other.

Heh.
There is a complex in Parker Square near one of the hard drives from the exclusive missions that has 12 feet tall mail boxes.

He tried to use his psycology, and intimidation skills to get an edge in the conflict.
Just like when he first met clara
. Its just that in this situation it backfired.

There is this one ctOS breach in The Wards that I can never start. I can set a way point to it, but once I reach the way point, there is nothing to hack. If I set another way point again, I see "unavailable" on the mini map... Boo. I am at work so I don't know the exact location but when I'm home I'll have a look at the mini map to see the coordinates of the ctOS breach.

The QR codes have been the most fun of all the challenges for me so far. One of the best environmental puzzles ive ever encountered in a game.

They have been incredible. It felt great just sitting back and thinking... "Okay, which angle makes the most sense?"

It is pretty fantastic when you end up having to go miles away from the original minimap marker to find the right camera to solve the puzzle. =p

Apologies if this has been addressed already in this thread but I had a glitch where after failing an online tailing mission and being killed, I lost all my progress, weapons, skills, outfits, items (and ability to craft items) and can't play any more online missions because the game thinks I haven't done the online introduction mission.

Has anyone else had this problem? Doesn't seem like there's a workaround thus far and it means I've lost about 10 hours of play :(

EDIT: Xbox One version, FWIW

I just beat the game on the PS4. I loved ever second of the game. I double dipped with the XBO version. So I will 100% that version, as that's the one I purchased the season pass for.

Man, those rumble triggers really make the XBO version feel like a better experience. And honestly, I don't see a visual difference at all.

Just finished the game, and colour me surprised. I was expecting it to be very mediocre but it's actually fantastic. One thing I'd like to say is that the driving is horrendous, it's like GTA 4 all over again.

Really weird but my Mobster Outfit has disappeared, I was wearing it last time I played it, booted it up just then and it's gone, not even in the wardrobe.

The fuck?
