So new Guerrilla IP
New Media Molecule IP
Ratchet & Clank Redux
Hungry Hoard
Shadow of the Beast
New House Marque game
New WIpEout
And three PS3 remasters announced

Lol no. They'll show like three new games. One will be a reason to get hyped.. Seriously, we all expected huge things at E3, and they disappointed the hell out of people. I expect a "At TGS I PROMISE!"

E3 was disappointing?

This is more a director's fault, than the camera man.

The camera was just being focused when the director told the editor to cut to it. Which is a big goof for a live tv director to make.

okay, just wondering.. How can this be considered news? We all knew they'd be there for over a month now >_>..I mean Yoshida said it a long ass time ago..

So you knew the exact time and date of the Sony conference before this thread?

I can't wait to hear what the average person thinks of Bloodborne. I can read impressions all day, but it's hard to distinguish between what an average person thinks vs. someone who's paid to like games.

I learned my lesson last year. Going in with zero expectations this time. Anything cool Vita related will be a nice surprise.
Yup, I hope you learned your lesson.
I mean, they only announced/unveiled the first Gran Turismo 6 footage, the VITA price-drop, the PS4 launch date, Murasaki Baby, BigFest, Everyone's Gone to the Rapture, Shadow of the Beast, RIME, HELLDIVERS, RESOGUN, Starbound, etc. etc. etc. last year at Gamescom.

Horrible......

I don't think anyone in the game press is paid to like games. They are mostly there because they liked games first and got into that industry. But it's not like game media is never critical of games. Honestly I think their opinion would be better than that of the average person, especially for a "Souls" game. I've never really felt those games were geared toward the average person.

It should be more ps4 game focused this year since last year they focused on the UI and release date and had a lot of PS3 stuff which likely won't being in going by E3.

You really should read more impressions about games. Outside of Giant Bomb, most of these impressions from magazines and various websites seem to be written on a hype train. The average person, you can get a good feel from an average.

Said it before, I'll say it again...

And for those of you who say "Wait for TGS," Sony haven't shied away from showing SCEJ games at Gamescom in the past, and Gravity Rush 2 is long long due another showing.

Also hoping for...

MediaMolecule's new game
Rime
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Tarsier's new game Hunger
Something from Sony Bend

I would save GR2 for E3 personally. That game deserves maximum exposure, unless it's coming out before E3 in which case Gamescom would be ok.

Yoshida talked recently in a podcast [IGN maybe] about how they lost the power grid just before the start of Gamescom 2013 pressconf. They were in the mad rush to fix everything, and when Yoshida sat in the char to play KZSF on the start of the even, he did not know if the feed and screen in front of him will even work.

I just mean it depends on the game and obviously the publication. I don't read magazines because I feel that your right, they are more a promotional piece than anything else. But if there is a games journalist that you trust, even if its on a publication that you don't really care for (IGN, Polygon, etc all have some stuff that do great work) than I think their opinion can be valuable.

As far as the game, I agree if were talking about a Zelda game or Halo or Smash, than yes the average person can probably give you a good idea of how the game plays. But something like a "Souls" game isn't really geared toward the average person. I don't want to read a preview where the main complaint is about difficulty when it's a "Souls" game.

Although I was thinking the average person, as in an average off the street person. I guess the average person at a game show like Gamescom would still be pretty into video games.

Sony's the only one doing a big press conference with streams on all 3 major shows. Wish Nintendo and MS took all of the markets as equally serious.

I hope we get an update on Helldivers. I'm very much looking forward to playing it on Vita but we haven't heard any release date yet.

-Media Molecule's new IP
-Ratchet & Clank Redux

Give me gameplay footage of those two, and I'll be content. Not that I don't want more, just don't want to get my expectations set too high.

Gravity Rush 2 would be an amazing surprise though.
Especially if there's a PS4 version.

Sony.

About Powers.
25 Minutes? Where? I'm sure you're not talking about E3 2014.
If you do, check your broken clock next time.

And about the "nobody cares about" --> You shouldn't talk for 100% of the people :)

Nice. So Bloodborne is confrmed, Rime has a high chance of being playable, and Media Molecule is almost certain to be there. I don't think GR2 will be there, probably will be at TGS. I think R&C PS4 might be there since it's a early 2015 game.
It doesn't seen crazy to expect Bend, London Studios, or GG's new IPs to be there.
Sony.

About Powers.

It was 5 mnutes. People are rewriting history just like they did for the E3 2013 indie presentation (which was 4 minutes).
