I wonder how this will affect the people who bought the console back when it was 500$.

"Just figured out"? Lol, dude we've been knew this since January. So it's bad because you lot only just figured out that it isn't all fine and dandy for the Xbox One. That's a problem with you, not the price drop itself.
They do have some great games coming soon.
Dat sweet chrome D-Pad.
349.99 Euros equals 469.71 US Dollars

Denied. It was a mistake.

Then why is this price cut a bad thing XD"Just figured out"? Lol, dude we've been knew this since January.
You mean this fake price cut? B/c of reasons specified clearly on the previous page by myself, NHale and others. You have to think deeper. Then why is this price cut a bad thing XD
MS would have to market the X1 very differently in Europe than in NA. It offers less, therefore it should have a lower price and make Xbox Live free to make it attractive as a second console, because it simply won't be the primary console of people in Europe, at least not for the foreseeable future.
Dropping xbl fee in europe would be big
You said it was because it means the Xbox One isn't healthy. But you already knew that! This is supposed to fix it!You mean this fake price cut? B/c of reasons specified clearly on the previous page by myself, NHale and others. You have to think deeper.
No, it's more like performing another surgery on an open wound that's still in the middle of healing from a previous injury. You said it was because it means the Xbox One isn't healthy. But you already knew that! This is supposed to fix it!
Can you imagine the backlash if Europeans could play multiplayer for free while Americans couldn't? That would be a huge PR nightmare...
Wait, is this seriously the second price drop in less than a year? Or still the first in that area?
I'm sure those people now know never to buy an MS console at launch again. Nothing much other than that.

Not in europe. It may not be a price drop per se but the Madden bundle should move some units.

Sorry, I'm not even sure what language that is, but that does say that MS are offering interest-free loans to prospective XBone buyers, in addition to two free games? But if we are going to get this:
A 2 game bundle for €399,99, do you really think the standalone can retail for the same price?
Unless they stop selling the standalone and just increase value with bundles, keeping the same base price, much like Sony did for a while with the PS3 at least.
I love how you continue to dwindle this down into such simple terms....You're just looking for problems. Consumers complaining about a cheaper console.

How healthy a brand looks isn't important. It's like when a politician reverses a decision and people complain that it looks weak. No, it isn't a legitimate complaint.I love how you continue to dwindle this down into such simple terms.
Again, go read those posts; it's the image of brand health being painted by those actions that's the problem, not the price drops themselves (as if in some sort of vacuum).

Stop kidding yourself. When it comes to tech brand image is very important. Almost as important as the quality of the product itself. You think people buy iPhones just b/c they're good? No, they also buy it b/c of the "coolness" of the Apple brand and the stability that brand and their products seem to bring to consumers and developers. How healthy a brand looks isn't important. Yup. That's exactly it: 20 for 20 months with two games.Sorry, I'm not even sure what language that is, but that does say that MS are offering interest-free loans to prospective XBone buyers, in addition to two free games?
Edit: I see a lot of percentages in there. I thought the headline basically said 20 Euros for 20 months. What's it really say?
We also have free healthcare and no one in the US cared
which one is the first price drop? the kinectless SKU?
You bothered to quote me and give me your opinion and were not the only one, so people do care. I posted my opinion related to the rumoured price drop for the XBOne because that's my standing as a gamer. Seems quite on topic.
Considering they let go a good deal of the Europe Xbox team, I think they're going for the first option. It's difficult to says what MS will do; whether they'll 'soft' abandon Xbone in mainland Europe (that is, not focus on it at all, or push it) to save money there and concentrate their efforts in markets where it has at least a decent-ish level of market interest or whether they'll put a lot of time and effort into trying to turn the situation around.
Almost as important as the quality of the product itself.
