I dunno the only time I felt I was guaranteed a good dub was if Geneon/Pioneer published it.
Geneon/Pioneer and Bandai Entertainment used to outsource their dubs to the same places, so they'd get similar results. Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star share a lot of the same voice cast and both worked out very well.

This was definitely one of those formative years tv shows that I fell in love with. I really can't wait to pick this up on blu-ray. Hoping the audio quality issues from the Bandai release get fixed.

This will be a must-buy for me.

Hell I'll probably pick up Outlaw Star if its of similar quality. I loved that era of Toonami/Adult Swim/anime in general.

That's what I'm worried about. Especially with 13 episode Gundam OVAs sitting in the $300USD range, not to mention the $60 episodes of Gundam UC.

Anyway, we'll see. Two digits, I'm in. Three digits... I'm probably still in. And sub or dub, you can't go wrong, I'd personally say dubs since this was from that era where dubs were actually pretty good. As in really good.
Umm none of that was funimation. They price things reasonably.

OMG!!!!!!! Bebop was decent but this has me really excited!!!!

Ha awesome to see!

I'm going through it for the first time actually, 5 episodes in. Liking it enough that I may pick this up.

Exciting news! I just hope the premium editions' special items are physical, with no difference in disc content - I'd prefer to get the cheapest Blu-ray option available.

You guys are focusing on the wrong thing: the biggest upgrade in this set isn't the picture but the audio.

I have the UK BD release and man does it sound amazing. Those of you with a good quality 5.1 set-up are in for a treat.

Oh, and Sub>Dub any day of the week. Why you wouldn't want to listen to Megumi Hayashibara is beyond me.

Goddamn, I'm definitely setting money aside for this (hopefully the price isn't too high).

Next up, The Iron Giant on Blu-Ray!

There is no gif sufficient enough to express my excitement we finally have news that it will be released this year.

Fucking finally. I started watching the series in SD a little over a year ago but ended up shelving it once I heard it was gonna be released on Blu-Ray. Day one.

Do you know if it's significantly better than the 5.1 US DVD release?

Oh, I only just read that there will be 2 editions. I'd love to purchase whatever the premium one will be as long as they aren't committing highway robbery.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii(iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii)iiiiiiiiiice. I've been watching this for the first time lately and I've been loving it, so I'm definitely gonna be picking this up.

So fucking happy that I was at Otakon when this was announced (I think Otakon was the origin of the announcement at the Funimation panel) :).

And that's only for the first 13 episodes. At least I glad they are finally releasing the original GITS movie(non 2.0 version) on blu ray next month too.

I was actually seriously considering purchasing all the sets one by one at one point, but I figured it'd probably get a release in the US by now... Starz is kinda dumb for just sitting on SAC.

Well they have been available on iTunes in 1080p for like almost 2 years now so I don't what the deal is.

I forgot how expensive(at the time) the original Cowboy Bepop DVD releases were. I remember it costing me up to $80 for each session.
