LEGO Pirates 2015
Shipwreck Defense
Soldiers' Outpost
Treasure Island
Soldiers' Fort
The Brick Bounty

I have a feeling...Treasure island will have chest pieces. Call it a hunch, but i feel pretty good about that.

So I went into work after time off for my injury and other issues and I had a couple people come up to me and say "Hey theres a Ghostbusters Lego set, have you seen it?" I think i'm officially the Lego guy at work.

Has anyone had success finding Mixels series 3 at Wal-mart or Target?

I was hoping the fort would be like "King's Castle" sized but it's probably just a facade judging by the prices.

17.99 NZD - Shipwreck Defense
39.99 NZD - Soldiers' Outpost
39.99 NZD - Treasure Island
59.99 NZD - Soldiers' Fort
179.99 NZD - The Brick Bounty

Man the first half of 2015 looks like it's gonna be just swamped with AMAZING Lego sets so far.

January has all the new DC Heroes sets, which at the very least will be amazing for the minifigures. Jan also has the new Lego Movie sets, still holding out hope for the one I was told about.

March apparently has the Age of Ultron sets.

Spring is Pirates, right? I thought there was some kind of timeframe given when they did the contest for naming the ship?

Summer will have Jurassic World and Ant-Man, if rumors are to be believed.

Plus a new modular somewhere in there too? Not to mention at least one more line of CMF in the first half of the year? Feb-March if the 4-month cycle continues?

Jesus.

Went to LEGO store on lunch break. I walk in and they are just pulling series 3 Mixels out of the back to stock. The manager jokingly asked if I could smell that they were there.

So yay! Series 3 Mixels get!

What a blessing and a curse that you can just waltz into a LEGO store while on lunch :p

Maybe I should be glad I can't do that? Or my bank account should.

I still have one Mixel Series 3 to go, then I'll contemplate getting some extras. Hoping the stores around here are restocking this week, otherwise I'll try to pick it up with my Sept 1st S@H order.

And I'm hoping the UCS Slave I continues the trend of including minifigs. I have a Boba and Han in Carbonite so, not sure what they could add to sweeten the deal. More bounty hunters would be cool. I still need a Bossk and an IG-88 (they really should do a better looking Assassin Droid, I don't care for the brick built one... reminds me of old-school Grievous which was ugly as sin)

I'm hoping that pricing is incorrect, as that won't be much of a Soldier's Fort if true.

The ship seems to be a decent size at least. How is that price in comparison to the PotC ships?

Probably only getting that one, unless the smaller sets are really, really cool.

It's slightly less. Black Pearl was $100 for 800 pieces and Queen Anne was $120 for 1100 pieces.

Still waiting on another missing order but LEGO gave me 400 VIP points for the delay

Yeah it will be quite a year, especially if the new Pirates line turns good. I hope the ship at least will be nice.
I too am still hoping for that Lego Movie set you were told about ;)
By the way where does the new SW wave fit in all this? January too?

I'd love to get into pirates but I'm gonna have to nix it now before I see anything, I can barely keep up with the other lines I like so it's best to just give up now :)

Glad to hear it mate. I'm still waiting on my order from the 5th. Hopefully it'll be here soon too then.

That's what I said a few hundred minifigures ago. :( Seriously though, LEGO is making way to many minifigs and sets I like. I've already cut out UCS Star Wars stuff and at least 1 modular. I've already weaned off Friends except for the Disney Princess and occasional small Friends set. Super Hero LEGO Friends would suck me back though. Just a few more OT Star Wars stuff and I can cross Star Wars theme off my list except for occasional small sets.

Trust me, a lot of us have to be choosy on what to buy and what to skip. I am still hoping to get the Fairgrounds set but that remains up in the air.

thankfully the fairground did nothing for me, I still need to pick up the Minicooper, simpsons house, sopwith samel, VW Camper, Tumbler, just to mention a few.

I just finished the exosuit, it's...hmm, it's hard to say I like or dislike it as it's firmly in the middle, the build is actually very tedious and dull, lots of grey, I spent a long time searching for parts amongst the pile. There's a few useful rare/new parts in it like the 2x2 round tile with a hole in it and the new bowl pieces but I'm finding it hard to recommend the set based on the build alone, it's the minifigs that are the real drawcard here. The mech itself is more solid than I thought and quite poseable but I tend to like a bit more personality in my mech designs and the exosuit feels kinda...lifeless.

There are many decisions like this that must be made when it comes to deciding what LEGO themes to partake in: no shame wetwired, no shame!

For Master Thieves, Legos Are the New Uncut Diamonds

http://www.vocativ.com/underworld/crime/lego-heists/#!bK1d4e

Cant make new thread so whats better place to cause fear and terror among fellow LEGO lovers? But if I understood correctly these guys are only stealing unopened boxes, so if you build yours your LEGO's will be safe. :p

They're waiting until we go on vacation guys and they're coming to steal our LEGO! Build your sets while you still can!!

Thanks for the article. It's definitely an expoding trend... and something all collectors need to be aware of. You'll notice one the article mentions a woman who stole over $50k of LEGO from a collector and tried to unload them on eBay.

Your LEGO collection is no longer the type of item in your house a thief is likely to overlook. Their value is becoming more widely known... and they will be targeted T__T

Something I do worry about since my collection could pass $50k by the end of the decade at this rate (ugh hurts to think about it that way). I've only been back into LEGO since 2012 and my collection, judging by brickset (which is missing data on some sets, and does not count pick-a-brick and some other stuff) around $15k

News of all these new sets is exciting. Nevermind the fact that I don't have any time at all to build anymore. I wonder if they offer a grad school program for Lego building...

I'm building a life size ED-209 as we speak. Unfortunately the only sound brick I have is from the mothership so instead of an intimidating voice the robber is going to hear "buuuoobuooobuooobuooo"

A life size ED-209? Seriously? From what I remember that android is huge? Any pics on the progress?

Makes me think about this little beauty... http://brickset.com/sets/6265-1/Sabre-Island
I should still have all of the pieces for it in my miscellaneous Lego bin. Might be nice to rebuild it.

I absolutely understand the feeling.
Right now I think I am going to have a slight gap in my Lego roadmap since I finished getting all of the Galaxy Squad sets that I wanted, need a new original Lego theme (Not that Pirates is a new theme...) to slot in between the licensed themes I am interested in.

Hehe, sorry I was making a pun at the expense of the article. I literally wouldn't even have room for something of that size.

Besides, i'm pretty sure my Hive Crawler is enough to scare any robbers.

As long as its built!

Good thing it's built right?

May be safe from pirates, yay. It doesn't sound like the fortress will be awesome and the pirate ship would have to be better than the one from the last pirates line. They take up a lot of space.

Yay, my TRU got three new boxes of mixels series 3 today. Finished my set and got a few extras of my faves.

Sadly while there the manager said they have had a big problem with them being stolen. I already assumed this but it's unfortunate. He also said the GI Joe blind bags are a big target as well, so it's not just LEGO.

Also got the new SW polybag, ARC 170 starfighter

What an awesome series... Hopefully will be in less demand than the last two.

Lots to love... The gamer's controller! The Amazon's dress! And sandal printing
