Game looks great. Shame that there's no demo though. I don't want to buy it and end up hating the combat system. Well I'll wait for post launch impressions.

Gonna need more details regarding the editions - particularly price.
I was under the impression Bayo 1 was going to be 'free' with bayo 2 but there appears to be 2 versions (3 including the limited edition) which I can only assume the Bayo 1 & 2 edition costs more; more than the normal RRP?

Also this eshop discount for the digital version better match the retail version, I'm not getting screwed over because I like digital!
I'm not aware of ANY retail version that doesn't include Bayonetta 1 along with it. Amazon only seems to list the one $60 version of Bayonetta 2. I don't like buying $60 games but at least it has both included.

Oh, there's a lot it doesn't show, but it's extremely comprehensive. It shows every level, every character, every boss except the last one (and it fleetingly shows that too), which is fine so long as you're forgetful, because it was a damn good trailer. Just way too much in terms of reveals, imo.

But all said and done, Kamiya's hard sell approach didn't do a lot for the game anyway, sadly.

Fair enough. If it's any consolation, I think the trailer just now did a slightly poorer job at trying the same result.

But I guess we'll have to wait for release day, won't we? :D

Thanks for nothing Nintendo of America.
I'm finally buying WiiU games with This and Hyrule Warriors and yet you don't want me to give you more money Day 1.

Dat trailer.

Won't watch that again, seems like a lot of spoilers. I'll probably forget most of it though since it happened so damn fast.

Man I would've liked a demo but it can't be helped! Glad I bought WiiU for this thank you Platinum for the perfection you create :'')

Edit: I also totally wouldve thrown more money at my preorder for an LE... just sayin NOA

Thank god they saved that trailer for the end, that direct was otherwise a complete flop.

It felt like they just recycled 90% of what was said directly from day 2 of E3 coverage on the game and the treehouse commentaries felt forced which makes me sad since I normally adore treehouse.

That Fox costume brought a smile to my face. Also awesome trailer at the end. Still believed in some Smash surprise, oh well...

They clarified that 1+2 is on the same disc for $59.99 in the retail package, while purchased separately on the eShop the price amounts to $59.98. With the latter, I find it reasonable to assume that either game will be individually priced at something like $39.99 each, with a $20 discount for buying one after buying the other (just as an example). This is for the US; add the usual $5 for Canada. No idea what's going on in Europe, but it's explained elsewhere in this thread.

Here's to the first new Platinum game with tributes to Wonderful 101—the toy shop in the trailer, for starters, and I have my fingers crossed for a Wonder-Pink costume (it would be very unlike Platinum not to do it).

You could always try the first Bayonetta and see what you think of it, since it's been out for years on multiple systems.
