e3, gamescom and now tgs presentations, along with all the "pre order now" from konami, im led to believe some release date is coming, but still this is probably one of the few games showed in the last 3 years we have no idea when its coming out, even uncharted 4 or bloodbourne were announced with a release space already!

And Silent Hills itself. Kojima said it will come out in 2016 surely.

After one year of Ground Zeroes, the release date to The Phantom Pain, should be the perfect one...

I wouldn't be too sure about this March 2015 thing if the game isn't going to be playable at TGS.

That is like what? 5 months from a March 2015 release. Not being playable that close doesn't bode so well for this speculative timeframe.

Could be wrong and maybe Kojima is holding back. We'll see.

Ground Zeroes wasn't playable at TGS either.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.

Ok for the last time now, why do people think just because it's not playable it can't come out soon?

Ever heard of a little company called "Rockstar Games"? their games such as RDR or GTA are never playable to the public before release.

Ground Zeroes wasn't playable at TGS either.

Also this.

konami has twice hinted and/or basically confirmed early 2015. the GZ physical release stated early 2015, and when the march 17th release confirmation was changed on....eurogamer i think? when they denied the march 17 date, they essentially confirmed the "early 2015" window

so they may be gunshy on directly coming out with an actual early 2015 release date because they simply don't want to deal with delay backlash if it's pushed to summer. at least i hope that's the case and we're at the very least less than 1 year away from release

If they confirm "Late 2014/Early 2015" release for MGSV:TPP:

I laughed so loud.

I apologize then, in the post where I dropped the spoiler I mentioned that I wish I didn't know about it either myself, so I understand where you're coming from. It's just when it comes to MGS, I always end up absorbing every promotional material avaliable, definitely envy your ability to go in blind, wish I had the resolve to do that myself!

Anyway, I edited my original post, hopefully no one else in the blind saw it.

No worries brah, it's all good. As long as the triumphant return of David Hayter as Solid Snake don't get spoiled, it's all good.

Batman: Arkham Knight is coming out on June 2, 2015. Which means that it's releasing after Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

lol, no. 2016.

I asked you earlier in the thread but why do you think it's coming in 2016? Konami even mentioned early 2015 in their fiscal call, as well as the "come back early 2015 to get your dlc." Mid 2015 at the latest.

Sorry dude but you're insane if you think TPP is a 2016 release.

Now I'm getting even more nervous about the MGSV:TPP release date.

With Batman Arkham Knight being pushed to June 2nd, 2015 - I'm nervous as to what TPP's release date will be.

I don't think I could handle anything after March of 2015. I know that sounds childish and unreasonable - but I detest waiting for anything.....I am far too impatient and juvenile.

In March i'm likely playing Bloodborne, Witcher etc. I wouldn't mind if this is going to be pushed towards August or so.

I wonder how the batman release date impacts TPP.. I'm having a feeling of sept 2015.

A year from now, considering Metal Gear Online 3 and everything, feels too early to me.

We'll see. 'Early 2015' seems more like the date when the DLC content will be explained, more than a release date.

I sincerely hope this is wrong. Everything is getting delayed and it's depressing. TPP hasn't had an official release date yet, but anything past March 2015 feels like a delay for some reason.

that doesn't explain a konami rep correcting the release date from 'march 17, 2015 to 'early 2015.'

EDIT: source: http://www.vg247.com/2014/07/23/metal-gear-solid-5-release-date-leak/

The Guardian asked Konami for an official update after publication and was told “early 2015″

In regards to that alleged release date, this is interesting...

Coincidence?
this is pretty interesting.

on the subject of the 18th being when we get more information, nvidia have their GAME24 event on the same day. think we'll see any of ground zeroes PC at the event? konami partnered up with nvidia for revengeance (unsure about castlevania or pes), so there's already an established relationship.
