It's going to be strange playing the maps with remade graphics before playing the ones that were just ported from the old game.

I always told myself that I'd never buy a console just for one game however this MCC business is really tempting since I've never played a Halo game.

I can't wait to play this. And by the way, what does everyone think the sixth map will be? We have two small maps (Lockout & Ascension), two medium sized maps (Zanzibar & Sanctuary), and a big map (Coag) so naturally the last map will most likely be another big one.

Waterworks would be awesome but I have a feeling it's going to be Containment, which would also be pretty cool.

Those pastel armor colors are bumming me out. They should really switch back to standard red and blue. Players stand out more with the standard colors.

The other maps in the game are coming along alright. But there's so much potential to do something awesome and 343i's artists just aren't particularly doing it, IMO.

It's... a classic map from Halo 2.

Having said that, I do wish it would look like a bigger increase in fidelity, esp. texture-wise. But that probably has to do with the ability to instantly switch to the old assets at any given time? At least I think that feature is in.

Yea, I'm having a rough time with this as well...but if you've never played a Halo game MCC is like having the best version of 4 awesome games for the price of one.

I know what it is. That doesn't mean that the artists couldn't have changed the aesthetics.

And switching between old and new visuals is campaign only.

It's annoying when people post "1080/60fps" in their 30fps youtube video. We need the higher frame rate of gameplay to get the full impact.

There's something ironic about Bungie competing against just about every game they've released in the last decade or so.

Looks awesome, hopefully MS delivers on some good deals to make picking up a Bone even easier.

Eurgh, I really shouldn't have watched that... I wasn't interested in the XBO until more recently and this might well tip me over the edge. Going to need another shelf under the TV...

Looks graphically about on par with Halo Reach. They havent exactly pushed the boat out in terms of remastering it. Still bitterly disappointed H3 isnt being redone and that ODST & Reach arent in there.
This was the one thing that couldve gotten me to buy a bone, but ive no love for Halo 2 as its campaign was weak and i never played its MP. But if they redid my favourite Halo games, 3, Reach, ODST, a bone would be bought no question.

Watch some quality video at 60fps and then claim that it looks graphically on par with Halo Reach.

I have never liked halo but I appreciate it for what it is, the best shooter series in history?Depends on who you ask. The best thing about halo in my opinion has always been the music.... epic stuff. Negatives out of the way this does look amazing and I love that they remastered as much as they did looks like they put a lot of work into this package.For anyone who loves Halo this is a no-brainer and should be picked up day 1. Out of curiosity is there any new content or is it just the old games?

I doubt the changes you request here would've gotten you to buy a bone. If not this, it would be something else to gripe about.

I did, fullscreen, 1080p. Ive been playing Reach all week, so its fresh in my mind, and to me, that footage of H2 looks reminscent of Reach. Its no looker, put it that way

If you can afford the console: do it. You're in for an excellent, excellent ride. Man, can't imagine experiencing Halo 1 - 4 back to back for the very first time...

Also, Xbox One's lineup of exclusives is getting better and better, as others have already pointed out.
