Load up your best heavy weapon with solar. Drop down, but don't kill all of the Minotaurs. Leave one or two alive. Just keep running around the arena avoiding their fire. The boss will eventually spawn, but if you heavy weapon it with solar you can kill it without any more adds spawning. Just the Minos from the beginning.
A partially upgraded Gjallarhorn can down the Nightfall boss with 5 rockets. Pretty rad.

I was solo'ing them with a LV 26 Warlock. They're pretty easy.

Oh I thought he was asking about Factions in general rather than specifically the Queen's Faction. Yeah the Queen's Faction seems pointless, maybe later incarnations will offer better loot as it seems the Queen is a limited time thing. Perhpas if you hit Rep 2-3 over thenext fortnight she may have something Legendary next time out . For the Queen's Rep though you don't need the Class emblem you just do her bounties

Nope, it seems VRep is only for PvE content. It's a shame as I'd like the opposite i.e. the chance to earn Crucible Rep in PvE content.
You can just stay up today and kill the boss. One mob spawns behind you to prohibit this, but that's it.

The lack of matchmaking is bungie's worst design choice in an ocean of bad design choices.
I finally got a single random to accept an invite last night and we completed the weekly strike without any communication. Some form of matchmaking should be available in all modes.

No I think what he is saying is like the story, the volume of content promised has been judged severely lacking. I've been a strong supporter of this game because it has so much potential. But if this Queens wrath "event" is any indicaction of things to come as we await DLC content, then they are already doomed. Interesting events with new tasks and modes is key to keeping players interested between content releases. I enjoy PVP, but as a PVE player this doesn't really cut it as an event for me.
This may sounds a little conspiracy theoryish, but I'm worried destiny is being hampered by a marketing scheme. By that I mean we aren't recieving any real content until December. I believe this is because Activision is releasing Call of Duty in November and doesn't want to diminish interest in the game by giving destiny too much content prior to COD's release since they share market space.
Destiny is starting to feel parbaked in so many ways. I want to love it, I see the great potential it has. But potential isn't enough to tide me over for long. It released early in my opinion, and has to work fast to catch up.
Just the thought of one of the only engaging parts of the story with the Queen at the reef leading to this, feels like a slap in the face.

So whats the deal with weekly strikes/raids? Are there some permanent ones and some that only come up every so often? And does this mean there may be some that we don't even know about yet?
If so I don't know how I feel about this because on one hand its cool to have something new and fresh now and then. But, also kind of sucks that I wont be able to play any mission when I want. There are some weeks I may not play Destiny and miss out on something awesome

You also have supers at your disposal to use.
Just because you have an inconsistent KD doesn't mean PvP is imbalanced.
Yeah the strikes aren't so hard that matchmaking is a bad idea.

With this Queen stuff I guess I can level up some alts and get them somewhat raid ready. Already did some shopping with Xur for exotics.

None of my friends play Destiny, and I'm only level 22 so I practically get one shotted by everything on the higher difficulties. A random invite is my Obi Wan.
It depends on what resources your legendaries and exotics require. For example, I'm fully loaded with legendaries and exotics and none of them require spinmetal or spirit bloom.
I agree at end game, but for those of those just trying to get to Rank 2 to buy legendaries in the first place it's a completely feasible way of gaining rep fast. Resources are always easy to farm again, it's shards and energy I wouldn't spend willy nilly.

So once I'm ready to do a queens mission is it randomized? Is it a specific one? Can I keep going back to orbit until I get an easy mission?

I switch to Voidwalker to do the "get kills with super" bounties since it doesn't register them with Radiance for whatever reason. I'm not going to be bothered to take off my Sunbreakers when I do this.

You can return to orbit and choose the mission icon again to get one of six.
Same here, managed to get lucky once and do last weeks weekly without any communication what so ever other than dancing and pointing, such a joke Bungie think's their game is impossible with randoms.

Yep. Just keep going back to orbit until you get the Earth mission. There's only around 6 story missions in the rotation, so it shouldn't take long for you to get it.
Just keep going back until you get the Earth Restoration mission. It's certainly the quickest/easiest.
The Queen's event so far is
- Bounty to repeat the first mission of the game
- Bounty to repeat the 4th moon mission
- Bounty to headshot 200 Fallen
- Some PVP bounties just because
- Do a random story mission playlist that has been renamed "Queens Wrath" but still has all the same story cutscenes and dialogue it had before. After finishing this you get legendary loot.
I just went into the strike solo some dude was standing just outside the entrance. Invited him and was actually shocked when he joined.
I guess you could stand around the entrance of the strike like an idiot and hope for an invite...thanks, bungie...lol.

How?? I'm 24 and my shields are gone in like 3 hits. I can chip away at enemies but one gets me in their sights and I'm dead.
I still argue for turning in materials for marks if you need to, at least spinmetal. It's extremely easy to farm. If every piece of your gear requires it to ugprade, sure, maybe not, but still.
The loops on Earth to farm it are insane and easy.

Why are are people complaining about mark cap just now? I was bitching about it in OT2 and was quickly shut down saying that cap is there so people don't grind and max everything out too quickly. Now you know how stupid it sounds.

Boost jump while firing, pressing to release the jump so you don't glide if you're a titan or warlock. This way your basically firing while bounding around in a circle and they can barely hit you since they are using hammer weapons.
I ended up getting the Black Garden as my mission when I played. WELP. At least it wasn't too difficult.
Quick question: Can you team with people for Queen's Wrath Missions who don't have the marks you earn from Queen Bounties?
So it gives you a mission on the Orbit screen, but if you don't want to do that one you can, for example, go to the tower and then back to orbit and it will give you a different one?
