Is it affecting the wifi? Since updating my devices to iOS8 the wifi signal on them has died on its ass, it keeps cutting out whereas before I'd have a full signal.

I've had no issues with wifi. I switched from O2 to 3 and I'm pretty please so far, seems to be quite a bit of 4G around.

A little miffed that the most irritating person on the whole office floor has moved desks so that he's at my 5 o'clock. As in, the worst middle ground between being behind you and in your peripheral vision at the same time.
He talks to himself incessently and, at the risk of sounding incredibly particular, his breathing is annoying. He seems to forget to exhale, or is purposefully holding his breath so that when he does breath out it comes with this little gasp/moan that drives me nuts.
I'm just having to drown him out with music. I often listen to music as I work anyway but I'd rather I wasn't forced to choose between that and listening to what sounds like a man climaxing modestly every few seconds as he narrates his thought process.

EE. I just wrote out a full response and lost it because the signal cut out. It's affecting their network. Calls texts and data. Apparently something to do with iOS 8.

OK so it might be locking actual adult websites today but still, it's the principal of the thing.
I have been trying to think of a way to articulate how I feel about the guy who sits next to me for a while now. I think you have done it for me.
He is constantly tapping his desk/thighs, taking deep breaths with a loud "ahhhh, right..." while exhaling, narrating his thought process and stretching loudly.
Its like he wants every body's attention every 3 minutes.
I feel extremely petty for it but its annoying as fuck.

Thanks for the heads up. Of course it would be a troll like shuri to post it. From a cursory glance it looks like it descended to a lot of bickering and a lot of reactive defensive posts. I will say I forgot about the line about Ellis' thinking cyber-bullying doesn't count as real bullying. While he brings up a lot of really thought-provoking points, this is probably the most ignorant thing he says.

Weird, I'm with EE but only my wifi signal is affected.
Your company needs to embrace having flexi desks, means that you can sit where the fuck you want, as long as you get there first.
EE blocked GAF for a few days last week, my productivity went through the roof.

Had a busy couple of days since Friday, just catching up in here, the meet thread and what'sapp. I'd like to say a few things to make up for my absence:

I've held two, a main meet in Newcastle which was basically all Landan-'eds (only one of the Newcastle gaffers showed up despite about 10 showing interest at the time), and a mini-meet a few weeks back which again, was largely made up of London peeps with some Manc-based BritGAF peeps. They do happen, but BritGAF is mainly Londoners so that's where the most of the meets happen.

In most areas you can, but there are certain places mainly in city centres where drinking on the street is forbidden. These will be clearly signposted though so just keep your eyes peeled!

Hey BritGaf, french gaffer here!
I had a job interview in london and I have a few questions you could help me answer about moving to the city. Basically the job is ok (community manager, not my favorite branch but I can do it), the wage is ok and combining it with my GF once she finds a job in her branch should give us almost 3K for 2 people/month.
The thing is, I am not a big city guy. I am much more a guy liking big spaces, having a cosy appartment and a bit of grass where I read books. I didn't move to Paris as I really don't like the hours lost in the subway and the cost of life there. I had just a few hours in London and I already visited the city 10 years ago as a tourist, but I really didn't have a good feeling while being there. I'm not "in love" with the city you see, I like it as a tourist but I don't know if I want to live here.
Another problem is that my GF has health problems (spinal disc herniation) and needs medical care (acupuncture each month, a few medication) and I am afraid she won't be able to bear this way of life with tube and bus vibration, crowd, stress... And I don't know much it costs to continue her health treatment in the UK.
I have another job opportunity in France (formation to become web developer) so I have the choice. But giving up on a job opportunity like this without really thinking about it is stupid. So if some french gaffers are around here, as well as brit countryside gaffers, I could use your advices.

I think you'll be hard pressed finding somewhere spacious and affordable without having to commute 1-2 hours into work. There are some nice areas on the very outskirts of the underground system (Finchley, Barnet of the top of my head) but that can still take up to an hour to get into central London.
Not sure on the cost of private healthcare or whether you'll be eligible to some NHS services, you'll have to look into it.

I listened! Yours, Acrid's and Sploatee's mixes were the best and have earned permanent spots on my phone. Actually, so did BGBW's, we played it a lot on the tour as our getting-ready music. The dropbox is still there but I doubt there's anything new in it. Was thinking recently about doing a PFG and Friends mixtape, I think I've played with enough great bands that I could put together 45 mins of us lot.

When I say spacious, it's about finding something like a 50m²/530ft² flat for 2 people (like living room, bedroom, kitchen and maybe a small room for storage). 1 hour transportation per day is ok for me (like half an hour a day, maximum 40 minutes)
