Assassin's creed Unity PC version System requirements

Uuh, that ban might've been a bit rough, I'm guessing he was making a joke about the comment that Ubi made in the source.

Who in their right minds would still be considering a pc preorder after we saw what they did with watchdogs?!?

And fukkin lol @ that minimum GPU

.... my baby...

Yep, so they're fucking PS4 users and PC users.
Well at least Xbox 1 users will get that crisp 900p they're so fond of.

Mods may have jumped the gun on the air jordan smackdown.

He was making a joke about the Watch Dogs source code having the comment "its pc only who gives a shit".

Wait for PC impressions before buying this game on PC folks.

After the TEW debacle and especially given the events of the last few weeks, it seems like it would be prudent to wait for impressions, period, before buying this game for any platform.

That being said, I will note that I've been pretty gassy this last week and that the last time I was this gassy, the PC port of FFXIII was released. I'm not saying these things are definitely related, but this metric hasn't failed me yet, and so I won't exactly be surprised if the PC port of AC:U is as terrible as FFXIII.

This is probably higher than usual because of Ubisoft's history with PC ports, but I expected a big jump in system requirements from new gen only games. The days of PCs running games built for 2005 hardware at ridiculous settings on mid-range cards are over, at least until this new generation is also long in the tooth.

You are part of the lucky chosen aren't you?
That's actually how it is, isn't it? On what seems to be like 10 percent of PCs, that fulfill the recommended requirements, Ubisoft games (well, mostly AssCreed and Watch_Dogs) run fine but on the other 90 percent they still run like shit for unknown reasons. At least, that's my experience.

You know, this actually might be the first compelling argument I've seen for buying a PS4. Now I'd just need an HDTV to hook it up to, because I know hooking it up to my monitor would still make me virtually never use it :p.

People are vastly overstating performance problems in PC AC games. The AC2 games were straight 360 ports and ran just as you would expect. AC3+ have some extra PC features that can be demanding.

Their real crime is not supporting windowed mode.

AC3 on PC always struck me as "So we were developing this in the assumption that this would be on the next Xbox/PlayStation, but Microsoft and Sony were slow, so here's some of the stuff that was going to be in those versions"

Lol. It's like you guys never learn your lesson. After Shadow of Mordor and The Evil Within, it's like you'll never learn it.

Ubi seems to have a history of bad pc ports though, so I feel like this is more warranted than the shadow of mordor/evil within vram outrages.

Do you guys think that they will blame piracy this time around if it doesn't sell on PC?

Kinda off topic: What I find funny is that both recommended and minimum AMD CPUs are both the same. Kind of sad if you ask me. Hopefully, next high end AMD CPUs batch will compete against latest Intel's mid range at the same price.

Minimum - Intel Core® i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or above
Recommended - Intel Core® i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or above

Minimum and recommended CPU is same for AMD? What is this I dont even....

Even Watch Dogs had those ridiculous requirements, the guy saying that you needed a CPU that scores X in some stupid inaccurate benchmark. The same reactions and the same outcome, and everyone and their moms played the game and CPUs were fine.

People love overreacting or pretending to overreact.

I learned my lesson. PC version is almost always better than if Id had bought the pS4 version, as was true in those cases. Probably true here too. I seriously doubt I'll be running this at only 900p at 30fps even if the requirements are demanding.

Exactly. People never learn that from publishers to publishers; minimum and recommended means something different.
It's also funny that we still have these comments about console optimisation and such.

And when the game will be released, we'll have benchmarks showing this run on console hardware equivalent, either at same settings or higher res.

Translation: "the optimization is so bad for the PC version that we made the minimum requirements very high so that no one plays it".

And people complain about the console version not being 1080p? There are no CPU constraints on a respectable PC, so why the absurdly high GPU requirements? The XO GPU is slightly above an HD7770. Can anyone see the contradiction here? Lies and vague shit from obi like always.

Does AC4 run better on either of the new consoles than a PC of similar performance? Same question for Watch Dogs.

I expected higher recommended specs
I wonder if my 780Ti will be able to run this on max with 60fps

You know that minimum requirements doesnt mean you cant launch the game, right ?

Going from being able to max 99% of games out at 1080p (or higher resolutions) to...this is going to hurt, so maybe I'll just wait for a few years until I upgrade. It's not like the game will be any different if I play it later.
