Has anyone else tried Bandai's Dark Souls II Steam key sales?

I didn't get the key in the confirmation e-mail, and even though I paid through Amazon payments the order doesn't show up on my Amazon account at all. If I try to view the order through Namco, a page comes up asking me to log into it through Amazon, but logging in doesn't work.

Didnt someone say here that they will send it out on 7th november?

Keep in mind, that was made in a week, brah.

Fair enough. Maybe they did go with that style for the sake of speed. As far as I know, the other developers who've used that style did it as an artistic choice, rather than out of necessity. Whatever the reason, I'm just hoping they move toward something a little more eye-pleasing for the final game. (If the final sprites look like the one in the splash image, I'll be happy.)

I see Deep Silver has been taking lessons from Bethesda on how to price DLC discounts in the most annoying possible way. Ah well, not like I'd actually play the Saints Row IV DLC any time soon.

It's still quite buggy, bow & arrow is broken (although finally implemented, despite the bow looking weird, wonky and overly McGyver-esque. There isn't much content in there yet really, but that hasn't stopped me from putting in 7 hours on Steam and atleast 10 hours on my mates account before I bought it myself.

It's a fucking beautiful and rather terrifying game, that's for sure. It's also incredibly promising.

Edit: I'm not sure, but I really doubt it's locked. The devs seem to really care about their customers' opinions and all that jazz, and the sub is pretty old. So it's really unlikely. Ask Dmix, though. He knows these things. :p

controversial opinion time

abusing price mistakes = piracy

at the very least it's morally the same if you will

come at me :>

Yeah, I know, but it's been 50% off before and now that the base game is 75% off I'd probably bite if the DLC was at least 66% off, but I've waited this long so I may as well just wait for the better deal.
Base game is only 66% off, but yeah. I can understand that.

The price drop on the season pass from a while back + 50% off of that is enough for me though.

I dunno. An erroneously cheap purchase is much better than no purchase. Ofcourse, a person playing a pirated copy is also better than said person not playing it at all. Even pirates help with word of mouth. I personally don't pirate games because everyone has forgotten the simple idea of a "demo" (because consumerism isn't a good thing). I miss demos.

/rant. I came @ u sis. Not on you, mind - I'm no Milamber.

No, it isn't.
It may be morally ambiguous, but abusing a mistake and directly stealing are two different things.Ha! Very nice.
And directly stealing and piracy are also two different things, although far closer than to something like taking advantage of a pricing mistake.

I mean, is it stealing for the people that've come across some ridiculous store promotions that weren't entirely thought out and got away with a super cheap TV? Was it stealing when you know who bought tons of chocolate bars to get super-cheap (or was it free?) stuff? I'd argue that it isn't at all - It's being a wise consumer, ofcourse morally, it may be a bit dirty, but so is porn. But we all love porn.

Edit: We all love porn, but noone loves it as much as Milamber.

Just bought a new graphics card and power supply

Started to play WoW again and won't lie... A little bored

What else should I be playing?

Downloading that orange box right now, because I never played half life 2 or team fortress before.

But you have played the best game in the Orange Box, Portal, I hope.

Also, what's this price mistake talk? I miss anything good?

where's the big difference tho?

aren't you stealing the developers/publishers well deserved profit by buying it for 0.19c?

or does it not count only because someone made a mistake?

Not all sins are equal, and this isn't one worth losing sleep over.
Plus I love to sin.
for sure

i just like voicing unpopular opinions :>

For you.

No you aren't, and I'm pretty sure Valve would be held accountable for the mistake, being them the ones who have to pay.

And of course it doesn't count if someone made a mistake. It's fucking 20 cents on the store. That's the price that is there. You pay for it. You get the game. That's not stealing in any way.

Damn. Namco tries to do good by removing GFWL and they get hit with this. Well done, PC gamers.

I'm kidding. Someone wake JaseC.

It depends who are the buyers and in which proportions:
  • if I am ready to pay more for the game and abuse a price mistake, then it is less profit for the developers
  • if I am paying for a game I would not have bought, it is more profit for the devs.
Anyway, we don't own games with Steam, we only have licences to play them... so Valve could refund the people who abused the price mistake and remove the licence from their accounts.
