Why wouldn't the connection be solid? You aren't having a lot of people hammering the servers.Somehow even in smaller playlists the connection is usually solid. That Azure network does a great job.
Nobody is playing Killzone Shadow Fall Multiplayer
People are still playing Titanfall.
What is this supposed to mean?
Damn RIP
2014-2014
I didn't try it but I suspect that it will be difficult to find non attrition matches.
Ghosts on ps4 has the same issue. Some of the leser playlists only have a few hundred players or dozens, and matchmaking just fails.
What if I told you that you were wrong?
Just a thought, When will this be coming to PS4?, EA Respawn would get a whole new stream of money instantly new buzz to, servers would crash probably.
What if I told you that you were wrong?
Its not an accurate statement though. Some people are still playing Killzone Shadowfall. Its not like it matters much to Titanfall either that other games have more or less players. It means what it means, if you get offended... Maybe you care too much?
I can't start any threads but I really want to bring this up for discussion. Everyone trashes the modern warfare series (and ghosts) from MW2 onwards because the "real Infinity Ward" left and went to Respawn. How does the community think/feel about the "real IW" now that they created a mediocre game with no staying power. This is not for troll purposes and it isn't because the game is on X1 - this would be a discussion for the development group only (not console). Not sure if this was discussed.
What could the "real IW" done with CoD Ghosts (or CoD) in general. Are they overrated and is calling the current IW (at acti) incompetent fair after Titanfall's so-so outing.

where is the pilot vs pilot playlist?
I hope by moving it to PS4 in a sequel, they don't fuck up the amazing AI in the Azure Network.
Wow finally i've stumbled upon someone who believes that shit.
When I played it I didn't see too much replay value in it after getting everything I wanted to. It gets dull and quite boring very quickly. At least, that was the case for me. It's a fun game to play for a couple hours, like once a week :/.
The game is not mediocre it's fantastic it's just they have made design and pricing decisions they killed the game from the get go.
Why i think Titanfall is dead
- EA priced this way too much at $60, it should of being $40 tops
- DLC should of being free like Plants VS Zombies Garden Warfare/Mass Effect 3. Paid maps are 100% of time time known to split and fracture communities. It also puts people off your game if they know your going to nickle and dime them
- The game has a 'Campaign' mode which should of being incorporated into regular classic matchmaking but should of being done in a way so your not seeing the campaign stuff every single match. All campaign mode did was split the community. Just some further explanation the campaign mode is just Attrition and hardpoint matches so what i am suggesting is 100% possible.
- No quick join to put you in any available matches (not to be confused for late join)
- No clan features
- Game is very poorly optimized
- Game is fucken huge @ 50+ gig on PC, this could fuck alot of peoples bandwidth for a whole month just for 1 game. I'm lucky i downloaded this at work with their Fiber connection.
- Private match options didn't come into well after launch
- No server browser (THIS IS HUGE ON PC)
- Game has split region matchmaking. So if your in US East you can't play with people from US west unless you change the matchmaking region.
- No proper single player which means people where put off from buying the game from the get go
- Orge and Stryker Titans where locked behind the bad campaign mode which no one played which created a loop effect trying to play that mode and not touching the Classic MP.
- Teams where always unfair in regards to skill
Notice not of these reasons have nothing to do with the gameplay itself of Titanfall?

Not sure if you're serious, but that dumb AI could easily be done with out azure. Hopefully there's no bots in part2.
What do other FPS's that you play do that helps keep your interest?
Is it cosmetics? more guns? more attachments? killstreaks? something else?
I don't really understand these type of posts, the only time I really played to unlock something was diamond camo in BO2 which lasted a few days, apart from that I've never said "Going to go play some "insert game here" and unlock x" so I'm curious as to what you think the game did wrong to keep your interest.
I'm not saying more cosmetics and such would be a bad thing, I just don't see it as something that would keep people playing for a lot longer, but maybe that's just me. The only thing I really missed when playing Titanfall was killstreaks as they made each game "unique", added something to strive for in each game and gave you a reason to play and try to go for x killstreak. It even made watching streams somewhat exciting going for swarms etc. I do realize that CoD-type killstreaks wouldn't fit in with Titanfall though.

Interesting point of view with the killcam thing. Didn't expect a response like that at all.For me personally it was the ability to just annoy people. Like in MW3 you could hear the person you just killed, for a few seconds. I think it was while they were watching the killcam not really sure. Anyways, so killing someone with a Striker and spraying while using Range Proficiency always made people rage so hard, and it may be sadistic but it was funny.
Calling in a Titan over an enemies Titan so theirs blows up instantly loses its flavour after awhile. I think the killstreaks were another thing that kept me motivated, to see how high of a killstreak i could get. In Titanfall you will get a Titan no matter what, just you get it quicker when you kill people. Not sure if they added killstreaks or anything else as I only played the Beta. That could be another factor, but I doubt they added a whole lot since the Beta. Graphics didn't have any impact, sure it's nice to look at, but doesn't keep me intrigued enough.
Aside from just using the OP perks, guns, and attachments everyone hates(LONG LIVE THE N00BTUBES!) and annoying them I'm not sure what makes it have a lot more replay value.
Dumb bots?
I never understood why people say this. They have low HP, but they are intentionally Cannon fodder, because it is essential to the game design.
Azure is allowing an entire battlefield of nearly 50 bots all at once coordinate with each other, including Titan AI, Grunts and Spectres. The entire battlefield is reacting, dying, shooting all at the same time with no extra cost to the CPU because Azure is doing all of it.
If you into horde or private games, you can see with rodeoing spectres, sniper spectres or hell, more accurate and more damaging AI is easy for Respawn to add. Five Spectres with their settings turned up are not easy to kill with just an automatic weapon.
Azure is syncing all of this up without any host remembering the AI details etc. The cloud processing and enemy animations (reactions) to the world doesn't allow it to be called "dumb AI".
So yeah, the cloud processing is important. If Respawn finds another server that will allow them to do the same on the PS4, cool, but it will cost them a bunch. Azure is amazing.

We had a no bot mode, it sucked. We have a mode where bots mean nothing to the score, it is the most hated. If bots could kill players more often, no one would like that.
diddnt Respawn had a PS4 build up and running? im sure rudimentary AI doesnt need Azure.

I wouldn't know for sure, but I have never seen AI so robust with barely any performance or lag hit before.
I haven't played it and by mediocre I don't mean its not fun - but in terms of staying power and longevity, is it there? It doesn't have the CoD appeal of the mainstream - that's apparent. The discussion I want to start is the whole "real" and "not real" IW. Is it fair? Are the now Respawn group really that great? The proof is in the pudding. If Titanfall wasn't marketed (to a degree) as "from the makers of CoD" how would that have changed. Did the "real" IW under deliver? Did the "real" IW's game fizzle?
Sorry I've asked someone to start this thread - I can't do it myself.
Let's not forget that Titanfall is far less random than Cod. If you're the best person on the server, you will always perform the best. That is probably why casuals don't find it very fun.
Interesting point of view with the killcam thing. Didn't expect a response like that at all.
They did add burncards and some of them work like killstreaks (there's ones that are basically a personal UAV) but you earn them from doing challenges/levelling up/etc so it's not really killstreaks and everyone gets them (just like a titan). I do agree though I think some sort of killstreak system would have added longevity to the game. I also believe this is the reason it dropped off on twitch so fast, when you've seen one game you've kinda seen them all so there's no point watching any more, with CoD it's still pretty interesting watching streamers get swarms etc. That said though I don't think traditional cod killstreaks would work in Titanfall at all(Having helicopters etc flying around killing people just sounds terrible due to how the game plays), but I do agree there needs to be something personal that's worth aiming for in the games themselves rather than just the win.
I wouldn't go as far as to say you'll always perform the best, but yeah it's a lot less volatile than CoD, where one match you do incredibly well, then the proceeding maps you do horrendous. In Titanfall I've gone from the top, to being the lowest while still performing well in terms of KD/r and points, just other members did better. But yeah never as bad as in CoD where one map I went 33-15 then the next get like 3-15.
The game is not mediocre it's fantastic it's just they have made design and pricing decisions they killed the game from the get go.
Why i think Titanfall is dead
- No server browser (THIS IS HUGE ON PC)

Yeah it was dead when I bought the PC version back in June but thank god for EA's 24 hour refund window. It's a shame really because the multiplayer is really the best this gen so far. I blame MS for this.
where is the pilot vs pilot playlist?
Maybe PvP only is a thing archaic now. Titanfall 2 should have more coop missions like Desiny. Loot for your mech.
