Screw that.If you can't tell the difference, you need to get your eyes checked.
If my eyes get fixed, then I am forced to splurge on a new GPU.

I edited the OP with new info....
I got a lot of responses saying people can't tell the difference between these in this specific GIF.
I'm viewing it on Chrome on the iPhone and it's pretty obvious that the left is 60 and the right is 30.
The left should feel smoother or 'sped up' while the right feels a little more choppy and slow.
At least it was game journalism lying to us, as usual, and not game developers.
Crisis averted.
Haven't missed around with Gifs in years but I'm pretty sure there are browser side limits on how they run, with different limits between browsers(not sure if that's still the case).Wait, I'm almost positive that isn't true.
Edit: Double post, sorry! Meant to edit.
If you can't tell the difference, you need to get your eyes checked.
Haha I thought it was from a scene with Badger I couldn't remember in Firefly That explains why I couldn't remember it, it's from another show haha!Supernatural still delivering on epic gifs.
Translator-saaaaaaaannnn!Well Thanks for that clip. I guess it wasn't really the fault of the journalist who wrote the article, but it was problem with mistranslated. The producer doesn't say 30fps is the best for action game when he speaks about this in Japanese in that clip.
Oh christ. It's important, and for some, it can determine if you can physically play a game.
Its a significant difference. Its like people going to see the Hobbit at 48fps and not noticing anything out of the ordinary. You guys are so f'n dramatic.
so it's a translation issue , well these things do happen.
So do we have a correct translation yet? I would update the op with that...
Wow. So blame the translator? Here is what was actually said in the interview:
Journo: "What frame rate and resolution are you targeting?"
Translator: "Resolution and framerate... have you decided these yet?"
Yamagiwa: "The resolution is going to be 1080p. As for the frame rate, well, stretching it to 60, with how this game is.. Demon's couldn't do it either, well I guess we probably won't be able to make it up to 60... It sounds like I'm making excuses but, anyway we're targeting 1080p 30fps.
Translator: "First of all it's going to be ..." (makes up a bunch of shit that Yamigawa didn't actually say, talking about action games being best at 30fps)
Yamigawa (interrupting): "well it's not ... I mean no matter how I say it, it's going to come out like an excuse I'm afraid"
Translator: "well, from the first they are not targeting 60fps because ..." (more conjecture)

Or... Maybe he did say that but something got lost in translation or media is twisting words for controversy like they always do.
Hmmmmmm I wonderrr...
Everyone is flipping desks, nobody is hoping they back up their word. 30fps? You should pray down on your knees the game is a perfectly stable, DF-approved, rock solid 30fps, now that would be quite good, all things considered.

I don't think the translator was necessarily bad, I think he just tried to fill in the gaps and didn't realize that even the details and nuances are things that the fan base wants full clarity on.
I've done JP <-> ENG interpretation before and the languages are constructed so differently that it does require a bit of conjecture and filling in the gaps to make a cohesive point. If I had to take a guess I'd say that he's referencing something he heard at another time or maybe a point that was brought up earlier in the interview.
I feel like a broken recorder but here goes. The horrendous frame rate issues in the alpha are not present in the TGS demo. There are slight drops but not as significant as those in the alpha. The alpha build is pretty old, assumedly E3 old based on e3 previews.well, the word "targeting" is right, since the Alpha wasn't even a stable 30 fps.
And why they released an "older" Alpha???

Demos/alpha/show presentation versions are usually worked on separably from the main version of the game. So the alpha could be taken from an older build. They're only testing the net code with it so only that have to be the latest build. And why they released an "older" Alpha???
This should be in the OT.

Okay, the article will be updated soon with an official statement but for now, I think this can go in the OP.
Gaem yournalism
Verry porfessional
Wouldn't call it inevitable at all, Bloodbourne is co developed by Sony Japan like Demons Souls which remains a ps3 exclusiveDoes that mean the inevitable pc version is gonna be locked to 30fps?
