Yeah i know they want to keep the story info on the low but can they at least explain some of the characters.
YupMan...these trailers and bits of story elements give off a FF8-ish vibe...I'm digging that!
The demo will be out in March 2k15?

I am really hoping they show some story elements and stuff that is not on Episode Duscae in Jump Festa.
I would love to see big towns. Noctis and co walking around Accordo, interacting with NPCs...also some in-game cutscenes with other important characters.
But I doubt they will show those this year...

Ahahahaha...."You added fishing because you like to fish right?"
"Yeah, so much my wife almost left me."
THAT JAPANESE AWKWARDNESS.
So they say that it's actually the demo area that takes an hour to walk through, so the whole Duscae region will take more...English translation of the exploration video, courtesy by Kotaku.
Noctis vs Stella/Luna
Tabata you must deliver this.
Is it just me who thinks that Noctis looked a bit different in the early CG trailers than his recent version? It's as if the recent model is more thiner or something...
I think i prefer the older version.

Nomura mentioned many times that 2006 Noctis design was not final and was kinda placeholder.

Really?I guess i missed that.
2006 CG Noctis looked more badass to me.

I know it probably won't happen, but I wish they would give Noctis's old clothes as a bonus costume or something.
I like his new clothe but at the same time I miss the old one as well.
This is not even 100% OG Noctis.Pretty sure this image was shown after the 2011 conference on the old versus XIII website.
It could be in the game ,and the outfit seems really cool.
I really hope Noctis has a full wardrobe with multiple options tbh.

That's so cool. Totally missed that part.
I wonder what would happen if we run over a pedestrian. Or crash into another car, or being ran over by a speeding car while we're on foot.

Still, having a dedicated team to walking animations in relation to the terrain, how a certain character drinks his coffee according to his background... Man, Japanese devs attention to details is truly something else.
It actually makes we worry. The only other game in the franchise with nearly that much scale and attention to details is Final Fantasy XII. That game also went through development hell, delayed several times, changed directors and in the end is clearly incomplete narrative-wise.
I hope Final Fantasy XV could at least avoid that last part.

Minus the narrative you just described the project.

Edit: dammit M_Night
Ah, you're right.Yar, "incomplete narrative" is what I referred to by saying "that last part."
While there are similarities, there are also differences. FFXII struggled quite a lot for them doing it on PS2 (and SQEX execs forcing the ever-so-swooooon~ worthy Vaan as the main character, while they seem to be pretty happy with Noctis & his gang of friends). Their plans were simply more than PS2 could ever handle no matter how much time they would have spent on it. They spent way too much time trying to do something that the PS2 simply couldn't handle and that caused most of the delays. For example, they were developing FFXII to have a fully streamed overworld, but in the end had to cut it into smaller areas because they couldn't get it to work with the visual fidelity they were going for. FFXV could have been the same, perhaps, but they made the decision to skip the last generation. FFXV's move to PS4Bone might've ended up being a huge blessing for the project, as they have fewer limitations and can perhaps (more) fully realize Nomura's ambitious plans for the project than they ever could had they kept it as a PS3 game, spending even more time trying to force their vision on hardware that wasn't up for the challenge. It actually makes we worry. ...I really don't like the effect Skyrim has had on game design. Open fields are not fun, never were. We got sick of running through them way back on Ocarina of Time.

I doubt we will have much option, if any. They probably paid quite a lot for Roen to design the clothes, and I don't think they did multiple clothes for the characters (other than things like formal dress for Noctis/Stella(Luna) for the party). Also I expect XV to have quite lots of Visual Work's CG movies so it would be awkward to have lots of clothes.
You and I both, pal. Open world is more often than not a codeword for "crap level design" and "empty vast space of nothing interesting nor story-related where we trow enemies at random so you can farm". Yes, it can be done properly, but I am not a fan of this trend at all.
I would lol if we'd have to compensate for damaging someone's car, or the game goes into active battle with random NPCs.

XV was actually said to feature less pre-rendered cutscenes.

It seems weird that we can fight Nif soldiers in this section of the game since a treaty is gonna take place. We know they'll screw them over and become an opposing side but in this section of the game that doesn't seem to be the case.
Type0 will be $40?
