Mmh, i admit i loose more interest in the game each time i see it :/
It's not the creepy faces or the janky animations, hell that's barely a con, it's just it looks so much uninspired in comparison to Xenoblade. Feels like it's missing some soul.
And what's with that city, it pales in comparison to every town from the previous game (design wise), and it' called "New Los Angeles"? Heh...

it's those large dead eyes. They're staring right at my fucking soul, reminding us that the humanoid robot apocalypse will be terrifying
tumblr_nb2u4cAXuy1qf5511o1_1280.jpg

They're really creepy. The size could be made to work, but something about the shading and reflectiveness of the eyes and face make it all look so glass-like and artificial.

I actually do like a lot of the characters shown, just not Elma.
I imagine their faces don't look great since the characters are really small in this game
since the world is built to scale with the mechs which are 5x bigger
At least you can make a pretty decent looking protagonist with the character creator

It's odd how the aliens look so much better than the human characters - that horned guy's skin looks much more natural than any of the humans', and the cat girl's eyes are the least jarring of any character in the game.

Why? Just because it's big and you're small?

Fighting huge enemies doesn't really work in non-action battle systems. They're the same as regular enemies.

Nah just visually similar to the first colossus fight in SoTC when you see it walking towards you the first time.

Obviously Xenoblade itself plays nothing like it.

Nice. Thanks. I was trying to do my own earlier but got lazy and just wanted to see if they were going to release a clean version themselves and then you came along! I went ahead and cleaned it up a little further, since you left in a few white marks. All credits go to you though. Job well done.

Now I can go mark my bingo board like I wanted to do earlier.

And I'm a bit late but it's amazing to hear the full version of this piece from that very first trailer. I hope they keep adding more music to that site. Also for those that want to download it, they renamed the file so it has a new link now http://xenobladex.jp/media/xeno_sound.mp3

the new MP3 is actually better version than the 1st one
708kb vs 3MB

With the whole boot up thing at the very beginning I wouldn't be surprised since she'd be expendable going into the wilderness and all.

I want to know the name for the other female party member.

I think Chuggaconroy said it was 'Rin'?

Thanks for this, MUCH better quality.

Not feeling the character models/art style, but the world seems interesting. Must say that the game was more exciting when it was first unveiled.

Oh really? The original was a lower quality version and only 1/4 the size? Wow. I Thought I was LTTP but guess the party's just getting started lol

Updated my avatar! :D Thanks TriBlade and Neo Dark!

Get hype!

You're welcome but TriBlade really deserves all the credit for all the hard work. I just got rid of some white marks leftover (clearly I didn't do a good job since I just realized by throwing black paint onto it, some spots are still showing which is weird since it doesn't show when I put a layer of black under so here's another upload) and readded a bit more of the border glow that I felt was missing on the bottom angle of the X

I was hoping for a 5 minute story trailer, but we got another look at the same first area AGAIN :(
Oh well, the site going up and the amazing theme on it are something at least.

I am hoping now that the site en twitterpage is up that they gradually give more info about the game, until release.

I would have liked characters that look a bit more realistic, but damn if this doesn't look INCREDIBLE. Now, give me lots of gameplay possibilities to wrap up the package.

Seems like they improved the pop-in somewhat? I'd have to compare to the Treehouse E3 demo to be sure though.

Sogoooood. Hopefully FFXV won't release close to this (lol?) so I can time my giant world, dinosaur-fighting sightseeing fix.

Really like the stranded on a planet concept, too.

As someone who absolutely loved Xenoblade's music, I'm not a fan of the track on the new website :/

Aostia

El Capitan Todd
Or breadcrumb trail to your next objective?

probably...

Btw:
I Liked the GPS-function of the gamepad, and it seems there is also a Scan-function too
As for FFXV, I dislike the urban modern areas, especially if compared to the wild ones
The music is good, but not Xeno-like good
Art direction for monsters and mechs is great
If the game will play (in terms of exploration and battle system) as I think (based on Xenowii) I'll love this game
I want this game SO MUCH

I'm trying not to spoil myself too much so I didn't watch the Nintendo Direct footage... but there's one question I need to ask...

Do we know if it's single player only? Or have they hinted at a multiplayer component at all?

Plinko

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Having played Shadows of Mordor maxed out on PC... Technically, no.

Art direction is nice though.

"That steak isn't Kobe beef, therefore it must taste like crap."

Come on.

While they haven't said anything specifically, translations of screens have shown a chat window with the names Player 2/Player 3/Player 4, and this most recent video shows a keyboard icon as well as what looks like a voice chat option on the Gamepad map.

I like a lot of what I see here. Game looks amazing, gameplay looks great (as it was with the first Xenoblade). The sense of scope is just incredible.

Not thrilled with the music I've heard so far. It gives into the worst kind of film score cliches, except in this case, it appears they didn't have the budget for an orchestra so it's bombast with screechy synth. The brass and strings sound especially bad (when they're not drowned out by the obnoxious electronics). I really liked the use of music in Xenoblade so there's a high bar to clear here. Maybe I'll be surprised.

Ofcourse playing any newer gen game on pc is going to "look" better, this isn't about only caring about looks though. For a WiiU game it looks amazing. No matter what the cool kids say, graphics don't make the game, it doesn't take 1080p+ and 60fps for a game to appeal to everyone or look amazing to them.

Ohhhh snappp.... thanks Deadpool_X.

Been playing Xenoblade and I loved it, didn´d even care about the graphics, but this looks great and will play the same or maybe better, cannot wait!!

My current PC will churn out better looking games than any current generation system from now through till the end of the gen. I still think X looks phenomenal.
