I watched a stupid video saying that the master chief is basically the didact by way of imprinting of bornstellar-didacts geno........zzzzzzzzzzzz

Halo 5's story is going to be so bad. At least there is a new badass black dude coming. Hopefulyl he kills the chief and is just a dick in general.

I don't think ADS belongs in Halo either (hell it contradicts an established reason in the story for why Spartans don't use sights), however they have implemented it in a way that won't affect gameplay so I can live with it. I'm not saying that it makes it any less arbitrary of a change or that I think it justifies having it however it at least shows they understand how scope works is a fundamental part of Halo.

If you see a feature in another game (popular or not) and think that it could work well in your own game, I think it's fine to do it. Just because it "originated" in a different game doesn't mean it can't be a nice addition to your own.

I can see where your coming from and appreciate the reply, your definitely right, where the idea originated from does not necessarily mean it can't be a nice addition and agree fully that 343 has done some things as good if not better then when Bungie was in control, hiring pros being a great example. For me though, sprint crosses the line and breaks key functions of what made Halo appealing.

I would be up for some games! I managed to get MCC a little early so if you have a One add my gamertag, its Keys Open Doors.

Fantastic. I'll get to put up with this too, since the TV I'm using has some undefeatable overscan.

Again, it's little details like this which are really disappointing to see. It makes the game look rushed or otherwise haphazard. It's really disheartening how bad news keeps on rolling in for this collection.

Bollocks I reckon. It seems all human are imprinted, and other human characters can activate Forerunner junk in the games.

Chief has that special anti didact geass that the librarian unlocked which makes the chief immune to didact's bullshit. It's in the Halo 4 terminals.

I know. I don't have any other way to do it. I could try the game DVR to see if it's rendering like that or if it's my TV that's screwing up on this one game, I guess.

Strangely enough H2:Anniversary is fine so I don't think it's my set in particular

Well, I can't seem to upload any clips from the MCC to youtube. I suppose MS disabled that to stop leaks and the alike for the time being.

Might as well try and go through this campaign now. But man. It took me 10 seconds to notice these things and now my hype is severely deflated. Safe zones and black crush. Eh.

Halo Channel app is now available.

We will get a new Halo Bulletin (video) every Friday with updates directly from 343 Industries. Pretty neat!

I've had the game for ages, and it doesn't look like that. There isn't any black crush.

What are you playing on, screen wise?

For all their "power of the cloud" and "Azure this and azure that" their available bandwidth is so limited. On a 50Mbps download at my house I routinely find that Xbox downloads are limited to 0.7-2Mbps. Everything else in the house on multiple different services can saturate the bandwidth comfortably. It must be on Microsoft's side that the bandwidth is limited.

I got a consistent 4MB/s for the pre-load. It seemed like that was the limit here.

Yeah, that's a bit in Halo 4 I'd forgotten. It'd be better, weirder, if the Librarian brought up some Forthencho(?) instead, to oppose the Didact.

It is a matter of their server/bandwidth allocation not being able to keep up with demand. I've run into the same thing many a time on my connection where my paid Xbox Live subscription can't saturate a 100 Mbps pipe. Meanwhile, a free connection to an NNTP server in another continent has no problem pulling it off...

As for Azure, I've had some experiences at work that have been worrying to say the least.

It's only Halo 2 though. Halo CE, 3 and 4 are fine (Slight tangent. Halo 3 and 4 are gorgeous. Wow)

It's a 720p plasma. So nothing terribly new. But I've never had any problems with any other games regarding black crush.

Ah, well that's fucking shitty. I should be getting 50Mbps+ and I'm getting nowhere near that.
At this rate, it won't be ready before midnight.

Late to this but I drastically reduced the whistling noise by plugging the headset usb into an external power source. I used the plug adapter from my phone charger.

I don't think it's so bad, but then again I've got this thing where none of my downloads on my 10 mbps connection ever go above 1 or so, so that might just be in comparison lol2

EDIT: And yeah, Axl seems to be a new species. Interesting.

I have a plasma as well. Can you adjust the black levels? I have a Panasonic 1080p and I can adjust the scaling as well as the black levels. I have seen sidewinder and the Cairo station intro without any of those issues. Also, I would check the RGB settings and aspect ratio settings in the Xbox One settings dashboard. I have read that some people have default settings that aren't good for their TV, worth a shot maybe.

It really does seem like a TV issue. =P

The premise of the backstory (that there's actually a ton of other species in the Covenant that we never see because they were too small to make serious military contributions) is an interesting one. Though I suspect that the only reason he's not a Jackal is because they don't have the budget for that much CGI :p

Yeah it must be your ISP then because I average anywhere from 50-70 mbps on my downloads with 70 mbps Xfinity internet.

Few minor complaints aside. This is absolutely fantastic. I'm just sitting here playing the first level of Halo 2 with a big ol' smile on my face

I'm playing and I just want to play more. I can see myself putting so much time into this.

Tbh guys, preload has been up for like 2 weeks. Yall shoulda known better than to wait this long, dl'ing 60 GB in a day is cutting it too close.

Hope yall are running Wired atleast. May your download speeds beat the clock to midnight.
