Believe me I didn't miss your point. It just has no place in this thread. Plain and simple.
I was responding to someone in this thread.

Lowering the brightness a little in the in-game settings makes the game look more pleasing to me.
I love how the XB1's insignificant 1.75Ghz cpu advantage is now a thing but PS4's much larger GPU advantage always got brushed off as not that much of a difference. If it was thought the PS4's specs wouldn't amount to too much in real world performance, what in the hell do you think 1.75Ghz is going to do???????????????

FWIW You will see that in the immediate vicinity, the foliage is quite dense, but that draw radius is quite small, and it's very noticeable where the foilage draws in.

You are right, thanks. Default level is just completely wrong. Messed a bit with my TV and lowered game brightness, looks perfect now.
Barely anyone mentioned the cpu advantage at all on here until UNITY came along and it was only mentioned then as a POSSIBLE reason for the better framerate.

Thats the X1 version right?, it looks pretty dense actually seeing that. The PS4 version must look dense as hell.
It reminds me a bit of Oblivion actually with the way it draws in, in the distance.

Correct, xbox one, doesn't look quite as nice as the PS4, granted, but it's still very nice none the less
It doesn't help that they have really dense areas and then parts with no grass. They probably should of spaced it out a bit more.
Which console did you finally decide on? Weren't you the one having trouble deciding? You are entirely missing the point.
Of course the GPU in the PS4 is much more powerful then the GPU in the Xbox One, it's architecture leaner, it's memory faster. But the crappy CPU in the Xbox One is clocked marginally faster then the crappy CPU in the PS4. A win is a win god damn it.
Like a combover.
Hey i'm getting there myself lol.

That's .gif compression. What's with that mountain in the background looking like wire on PS4? Looks horrible.
I feel your pain. I'm at the limit of what a razor can do here.

Is this X1 or PS4?
This is what grass looks like in Los Angeles. That's where GTA5 is based. It can be quite barren in places so the Xbox One version is more accurate. Props to the developers for going the extra mile.

I live on my own so i would probably go for the PS4 version due to more grass (god that sounds silly to write lol) but i think choosing which version to buy because of which controller they like or which version their friends will be playing, is a lot better reason than the 100 page threads we get on here for every tiny difference XB1/PS4 games have.
People just need to get over the fact that some people find other things more important than just graphics or pixels so stop bringing console warz shite into it. Some people find other things more important.
Looks good enough for me. Love how the flowers and grass just go right through the roof of the car.FWIW You will see that in the immediate vicinity, the foliage is quite dense, but that draw radius is quite small, and it's very noticeable where the foilage draws in.

Which version is this?
Which version is this?
We know about the foliage thing, but can anyone with both versions comment on framerate or judder differences? I don't expect anything scientific just general impressions. I have to decide what version to get in the next few minutes.

We've completed work on an initial performance analysis of the PlayStation 4 version of Grand Theft Auto 5, which you can find embedded below. At first blush, we're looking at a very similar release to the Xbox One version - with only one really noticeable difference, the implementation of a lens flare effect that appears either absent or dialled back on Xbox One. Frame-rate is confirmed at 30fps, though the rare dropped frames seen on Xbox One are even less of an issue here. We're working through the game as quickly as we can and our journeys are taking us out of the city, so yes, we're definitely looking into stuff like this and will report back when we have more to share.
The fact that people have to ask speaks volumes!, it's the xbox one version.

Does the xbox one use the impulse triggers and if it does in what way?I can't detect any frame rate dips or judder on the xbox one version.
Not when many of us don't have either version. It's not as if the XB1 version completely lacks foliage. What is "enough" is a matter or preference. The fact that people have to ask speaks volumes!, it's the xbox one version.
I'd ask my friends which controller they prefer.....We know about the foliage thing, but can anyone with both versions comment on framerate or judder differences? I don't expect anything scientific just general impressions. I have to decide what version to get in the next few minutes.
