Is it just me or is the DMC4 announcement kinda buried in the midst of all the DmC talk in the press release? The Playstation twitter post about it shows nothing about DMC4, either.

Yep, bizarre formatting in the press release.

Not really what I was hoping for, but I'll get DMC4 on day one. However, I find it really odd the press release said little to nothing about DMC 4 lol

EDIT: I guess this mean a Dragon's Dogma Remastered game is coming to next-gen? I'd take that just for the better performance.

DmC >>>>> DMC4

Also, a decent company would, at the very least, have bundled the DMC HD collection with DMC4 to make a worthwhile package.

If anyone buys DMC over Devil May Cry 4, you are one sick person and you are singlehandedly ruining the Devil May Cry franchise.

Both are good, so I'll get both. Didn't finish the new one because I was either waiting for this to happen or for when I get a good gaming PC.

I wonder if MS can pull off a money hat for DmC 2/DMC 5.

Probably timed like Tomb Raider.

Well Phil Spencer did say after what Sony did, that it was time for them to do some to. lol

It wouldn't surprise me if you see MS announce Devil May Cry 5, exclusive to Xbox One and hell while were at it, Old Dante is coming back. lol

You heard it here first folk haha

Well... At least they're adding manual lock, the ability to disable to turn off color coded enemies, and turbo mode. I doubt I'll bother with this game again but at least they're trying to address some of the problems.

60fps, lock-on, rebalanced style system, rebalanced movesets, turbo mode, red/blue enemies rebalanced to be attackable with any weapon.

Shiiiiiit son, they really tried to fix just about everything wrong with it. I mean, aside from the plot, but you know

What the hell?

I just updated the quoted post. I was misreading the OP because without the graphic (that was added after I read the post) I was reading this as a remaster of DmC 1. Which is why I was confused that somebody was lamenting that it was not the original Devil May Cry.

the game is fantastic but I already played it tp death on pc so I have no interest in this port. hopefully well see a dmc2 in the near future.

I have both for PC, so I won't be picking these up anytime soon. It's cool though. Not sure I'd be able to go back to DMC4 (or even 3) after playing Bayonetta 2, though.

I like DMC4 and I still don't want either of those games on current gen. Fucking hell give me new games and not this old crap.

Capcom must be in terrible shape and the SF V deal makes more sense every day.

Was wondering this myself. Will buy Devil May Cry 4 day one! May get DmC, as well, not sure just yet. (Never played much of either.)

I'm trying to apply Capcom logic to this. And I know some executive at Capcom is thinking this is going to be the definitive vote to decide which version of Devil May Cry exists going forward.

The problem is DmC Remastered should outsell DMC4 in this case because DmC is actually getting some worthwhile upgrades (that make it more like DMC4) while DMC4 is pretty much left alone and is a much older game.

Seems like they've put a lot more care into a remaster than we've ever seen before. At least judging from the bulletpoints from the PlayStation Blog. Hopefully this becomes the norm in the future, because I'm sick of all these lazy ports where more or less nothing is added or changed.

I support DMC whenever I can, and I will buy DmC over this. Thanks for proclaiming me sick, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Problem is, I am not a pro. I have no intention of ever seeing DMC4's castle level, but I have a few more DmC playthroughs in it thanks to its phenomenal traversal and level variety. Especially with the new gamemodes and Vergil Bloody Palace coming.

I bet you're the type of person that likes Dark Souls 2 over Dark Souls. Scum of the Earth.

But seriously, don't buy it, they'll make DMC2 over Devil May Cry 5 ffs.

DmC was not exactly a compelling game. People really get that hyped up for replaying it with an increased frame rate?

you'll get both. It's still early in the new gen so these ports are quick and easy and they're also great for folks who don't have a good gaming PC such as myself.
