I wonder what our chances of getting Splatoon merch are. Kinda sucks that Club Nintendo is shutting down. Maybe the new thing they're doing will have physical stuff. I'd love to have some Splatoon posters or a shirt.

Not to get off topic but the new trailer was specifically called an exploration trailer, mostly to show off the environments. The other looks we've got of the game before show more than just that though.

Fighting games are a different beast than your average online game. They will never be perfect because of how fighting games work.

A perk system would be separate from cosmetics.

This is the clothing store, 'Sas au Bon'. This store has a wide range of unisex clothing with both a high fashion sense and perks for your fighting skills. However, perhaps because jellyfish can't wear them, the store sells no bottoms.

Not totally sold on the art of this game, it reminds me of ModNation Racers. It's not bad but is just not as solid as the rest of the stuff Nintendo does. Hope the game is good and successful though.
