Can you link to them please?

I think he means this one:
AVENGERS WORLD #19 & 20
FRANK BARBIERE (w) • MARCO CHECCHETTO (a)
COVERS BY W. SCOTT FORBES & SANFORD GREENE
• The fall of The Avengers!
• Namor’s fury unleashed!
• The Cabal rises…no world is safe!

But I think it still takes place before Time Runs Out

Yeah, that confuses me. I haven't been reading Avengers World, so I'm kinda hoping I don't have to read that to get story for Time Runs Out.

Thinking about it, this is an awesome line from Cap:

Not only does it play off the whole old man/'my memory's not what it used to be' trope but it's also a line showing what Steve is still really pissed about.

Man, that is such a stellar line. I love everything about this run.

People were talking about a big announcement. Wasn't this it?

The Marvel Universe is Ending.

New Avengers 29 will be out tomorrow.

I can't believe there are only 5 New Avengers issues remaining.
Still, that will be a grand total of 77 issues, 83 if you count Infinity. That's pretty huge.

It's a pretty enormous story they're telling, and I can't get enough. Can you imagine watching this whole thing as an HBO show? My god, I'd be on the edge of my seat for several seasons in a row.

Oh shit (NA 29 spoilers)

Fucking Ivory Kings, man. BeyonderS!
Saved by Hank fucking Pym.
Yeah, I'm rambling but that ending got to me.

Also, what happened to Franklin? This is starting to look like it REALLY sucked.

Another issue where I hate Cap and his patronizing.

Hmm, small thing I've noticed.

Less than two dozens worlds left, but Battleworld has 41 worlds in it. This is roughly double the number they gave and we know 616 and Ultimate will probably be the last incursion. Not sure where I'm going with this, but the numbers do seem relevant. The missing half may already be in Battleworld. Wonder what makes a world get selected for Battleword. I would have guess winning a certain number of incursions would do it, but that doesn't apply to Ultimate, which may have just been lucky not to get caught up in it until now.

Unless Ultimate has been dealing with it on their own and we haven't been seeing it.

It's still possible that Adult Franklin was telling a crude truth in that Avengers issue last year and incursions will play out to the end, everything will end but after that, everything will be aggregated into Battleworld.

Or (spoilers for this week's issue)
The Beyonders have already been saving parts of destroyed worlds, they'll keep doing so and will eventually use 616 as an ark to dump these on. I mean, they've been active since this shit began.

I'll go on a limb and bet that one last incursion 616 will face is the one with Ultimate Earth. Not a risky bet, I know.

This sounds about right. It's gonna be awkward when Thor's team or Strange and the Black Priests show up to kill they beyonders.

Did
the beyonders always look like that?

we never actually saw them on panel. their existence was only implied.

Keep in mind that

"something happened" and hundreds of thousands of multiverses vanished, leaving only two dozen. since we know that battleworld is made up of more than that, it's possible that the "something happening" is what is salvaging multiverses for battleworld. The worlds that are "left" might not be relevant.

so hype though, this is awesome.

(Just in case this might reveal something although I'm fairly certain this is an old article)

*spoilerific link*

Reading up a bit more on this, it feels like the kind of stuff Kurt Busiek would write 12 issues about, just to clarify how things work.

I'd totally buy that.

Links can be seen in spoiler tags.

An alternate universe Future Franklin? A crazed super Galactus?
Whatever it is it must be amazing.
I don't think so. We already saw 616 Franklin fail at whatever he was planning to stop the Incursions and I'm pretty sure the combined knowledge of Kang, Immortus and Iron Lad would be able to discern the identity of the Great Destroyer if it was just another Franklin or a powerful Galactus.

Okay, what is the statute of limitations for spoilers in this thread?

With TV shows, spoilers are free reign once the episode airs, so shouldn't it be the same in here? Once the issue hits the stands, we can post anything that happens in the issues without having to hide it behind a spoiler wall? Posting previews for issues, covers, etc before they release behind spoiler tags I get, but since New Avengers is out today, why are we still hiding the events of it behind tags?

I am just wanting to know for future reference.

Fucking Captain America is so goddamn stupid. Is anyone on his side? The guy's been hunting down the Illuminati for months and actively harming their progress in the face of a universe ending catastrophe and after Reed explains that none of the infinite multiverses have been able to stop the incursions he has the gall to angrily ask why Reed hasn't "done anything." It's like Hickman wants Captain America to be against them for plot reasons but can't believably write a reason for him to be standing in their way besides sheer stupidity.

I loved it Cap's side was busy throwing snide remarks at the Illuminati without offering up any helpful suggestions what so ever. Cap accuses the Illuminati of having a "holier-than-thou" attitude and yet turns around and does the same exact thing! It's fucking psychotic.

And then Hawkeye has the gall to ask them what they've been doing for the past 8 months.

Cap's side is the only group that hasn't done jack shit about the Incursions and yet they're constantly bitching about how evil the Illuminati is.

Im so confused by that last page of New Avengers 29
Who the heck are these guys called Beyonders? Have they existed before? What do they have to do with the Beyonder from Secret Wars?

God damn I love comic books.
This is so nutty.
I know this might be a weird thing to say, but I can't wait to see what the marvel universe looks like in 20-30 years. its this huge collaborative imagination experiment.

Question - as the protector of the nexus of all realities, has Man-Thing popped up at all yet?

Beyonder from Secret Wars is one of these guys, they all have his power set and each universe has only ever seen one Beyonder before
. At least that's what I was told in the comics thread.

You know who I think might have a say in Secret Wars? The Magician, Elliot Boggs, from Ultimate X-Men. I mean, his power levels must be on at least Beyonder levels. And, uh, where has he been all this time?

Magician is Rabum Alal.

Well, Cap has been grumpy ever since Original Sin.

He just can't get over the fact that the Illuminati actively held him in the dark after wiping his mind during New Avengers #3. Partially, that's the fault of the group as well. I guess Panther and the others hoped Steve would be a bit more receptive for "drastic" plans, but he still is Captain America. He wants to save everyone. I imagine that being thrown 50,000 years into the future by the Time Gem and getting vague explanations will make you cranky as well.

And after everything got out, he's been in pursuit; not solving problems, he only hears parts of it flying around. For a can-do guy like Steve that must be frustrating. He was always in the know, but for the past few months he just got sidelined. Thor is trying to redeem himself, the Illuminati are trying everything, even douchebag Iron Man is in the know. And now as an old man Steve must feel even more worthless.
