Then Benson gets attacked at the end when she gets home.

2 parter.

I was going to go with "Benson sits at the end of the ep in pure guilt because she almost put the wrong person away. AGAIN."

Yours is probably more common though lol.

I feel like I should say though, as predictable as the series could be at times, I still love it, just gotta' poke fun at some of the cliches and tropes at times. :p

This is going to be fucking terrible because it's Law and Order SVU, but I'm going to enjoy it just because of the reaction it causes.

You people are coming at this the wrong way: what if the writer is a secret 'gater? What if the twist is that not-Anita is scapegoating innocent misogynists in order to make bank? Will Ice-T lecture her about ethics after he breaks down the door to her underground SJW replicant factory?

all of the svu twist jokes are reminding me of this
A young boy is molested by a Catholic priest, but it turns out the priest was actually an illegal immigrant posing as a priest. After investigating further, detectives Benson and Stabler discover that the immigrant was actually a U.S. soldier posing as an immigrant to avoid serving a third tour in Iraq. In a shocking twist, it is revealed that the soldier wasn't a soldier at all, but was, in fact, a houseplant.

You know I almost thought this was real and totally plausible as an episode until I got to the end.

SVU staff wrote, filmed, and are releasing a Gamergate inspired episode 5 months after it became a thing? They are either pretty quick on the uptake or pull things out of their ass 5 months in advance.

A man is arrested for sexually molesting an infant. Charges are reversed when it is discovered that the man is in fact a three month old child with a rare medical condition that makes him seem much older, and the infant is an eighty year old woman with a rare medical condition that makes her seem much younger.
Oh my God I can't

Yeah it's really easy to make fun of. But it is a good show.

A prostitute is suspected of assaulting her customers with their own semen, but her victims are too embarrassed and afraid of being brought up on solicitation charges to testify against her. Detective Benson joins the prostitute's softball team, then hits a game-winning home run, knowing the prostitute will give her a celebratory cameltoe five (the female equivalent of a pat on the butt). Her plan works, and in addition to getting enough forensic evidence for a conviction, Benson is instantly impregnated.
holy shit lol

A dying man sets out to transmit the AIDS virus to as many women as possible before his demise, but SVU can't make an arrest because no one will sleep with the man. After another unsuccessful evening at a nightclub, the man retreats to the public bathroom, where a poorly informed detective Stabler shoots the man dead, believing that AIDS can be transmitted via toilet seats. Detective Stabler faces grave consequences for his actions when he learns that AIDS is primarily transmitted through one person shooting another in the face with a handgun.
oh my god

You guys are missing the biggest twist of all:

The episode is a subtextual viral trailer for Metal Gear Solid V.

Dialogue will include references to nanomachines, a character who goes by the handle "Big Boss", and an inexplicable appearance by Kiefer Sutherland while interviewing a suspect at a firing range. The female victim will have severe injuries that require the bandaging of her whole face and temporary loss of leg movement.

"Venom Snake" would work better I think in a SVU episode.

Or how about Kojima and Kiefer make a cameo appearance in the background at the gaming convention where all they do is smile and wave at the camera.

Yup.

They'll arrest some dudes who were huge assholes online, scare them shitless in the police station and everyone will be sure it was them cause they're huge assholes, but then maybe during trial one of them will mention something and then the detectives will be lead to the victim's brother, sister, co-worker or boyfriend who was actually behind it all the whole time and was angry and bitter at her for something.

No episode is striaghtforward there's always a plotwist.

Sometimes it's that, but other times they actually do get the guy early on and spend the rest of the episode wrangling with some legal quandary in court.

I stopped watching SVU a couple years back but I'll have to tune into this.

Off topic but did South Park ever do a Gamergate episode?

Same. It was okay for a little while after Stabler left in my opinion, but in one of the more recent seasons they basically added all the shit I don't like about other cop shows. I liked how relatively subtle L&O always was: never using flashbacks, not a whole lot of music, etc. The whole show is supposed to be from the perspective of the people investigating the crime, and never actually show the crime happen. I feel like it lost something big when it actually did that.

STOP SHITTING ON MY MOTHER'S HEADSTONE
Where's Stabler? :(

A teenage girl whose mother was raped and murdered got a gun into the squad room where they were holding the suspected killers. She opened fire, killing them and also a recurring civilian character. Stabler had no choice but to shoot her. Then he took a leave of absence and retired.

lol isn't that the second time a victim has gotten a gun into the PD and killed the suspect? They gotta step up on their security.

I can't wait for this. I love SVU's 'ripped from the headlines' episodes. Their Chris Brown/Rihanna episode was golden. Recently they did an episode on Men's Rights stuff so It'll be interesting to see how they handle this one. Clumsily is my guess.
