Though i'd never want the smaller 3ds, this faceplate is badass. Wow, i can understand why there is a lot of disappointment here in NA

Hopping on the "god damn it NoA" train here.

Sigh.

At least my Majoras mask XL appears to have really high resale value if they do release the regular size new 3ds here

Are faceplates generally low stock and sell out like amiibos? Only one I've imported is the felt one when I first bought the New 3DS.

Should I be refreshing a page to make sure I grab this or what?
Most low stock was #50. Zelda is around but importers are scalping it. However, face plates in general is better stocked than Amiibo.

Day one! :)

Will probably order it along with the Japanese new 3DS I was planning to buy before the summer. Might as well pull the trigger on that one as well.

Goddamnnnn. I've never played Xenoblade before and just seeing that faceplate makes me want to just get a standard N3DS instead of an XL.

I preordered the Kirby and Pikachu ones (the multitude of them) and amiami still hasn't asked for payment cause they still don't have stock. Most of the other faceplates sold out as well like the Glow in the dark Boo one which I really wanted.

The Zelda triforce one that was announced a while ago sold out in like 10minutes in amiami so I couldn't get a preorder in. This one was I think a Limited Edition so I guess that explains it? But yeah faceplates tend to sell out quickly (at least on amiami)

My faceplate collection right now is the KPP Eyes one, the Japanese Smash one and the White MH4 ones. I NEED THIS ONE.

If an Australian / European regular N3DS was imported you'd be able to get games in English, no? Then just import the faceplates?

This is the first I've actually been legitimately angry that we didn't get the regular new 3DS here. And the messaging recently about it being a marketing decision drives NoA deeper into the hole. Seriously, fuck you NoA. You're dicking over your core fanbase that is the same base keeping you afloat here.

Nope. People have every right to be insanely salty about the biggest market for Nintendo being treated like one of their smallest.

I agree completely. I would be angry in your position, I think the outpouring of disappointment and email campaigns and so on are 100% warranted.

But can't there be some room made for people who either have an n3DS or are willing to import one and actually want to talk about the faceplates? When they'll be released, what materials they'll be made from, the best combinations, how the glossy plastic holds up against scratches, how the felt holds up against sweat, predictions of how much stock will be available and the best sites to order from. All that seems to be lost in a great sea of low effort anti-NOA comments that have already been made more effectively elsewhere. At some point life has to go on. Imagine if every Bayonetta 2 discussion was swamped with complaints about how it isn't available on PS4/XB1 and that it's unreasonable to expect people to spend $300 just to play one game.

Honestly, I can finally see why you guys want it so much. I'm for it now.

Well that's a surprising turnaround.... How long before you once again go back to the, "Nintendo's choice was a sound one, so suck it up and get the XL or settle for the old shit" routine?

Sorta amusing to just see all the NOA hate in here. There are other regions too that may not be getting the cover plate, ya know.

Ok, this made me laugh. I see your point.

Honestly this has got to be the dumbest move by Nintendo.

Pennies worth of plastic going for $20-30 easy

De nada. I'll stay out of your business on Twitter. I'm not going to pull crap like that again.

At least they can import and use it on a local system, whereas we, in the NoA region, have no choice in the matter whatsoever.

I don't understand Nintendo. I mean, I thought I had a grasp somewhat with some of their decisions. But the past year has thrown everything I thought out the window. I don't understand a single friggin' thing anymore.

Yeah, I've been feeling the same way honestly. :/ I've always somewhat defended their crazy decisions everyone else seems to go all O_______________o about ... but now I've pretty much joined in and also feel so clueless and left out with their choices.
