It's a great theme, though I think Mitsuda's work in Chrono Cross and Xenogears trumps even Chrono Trigger's character themes... Frog's included.

But I still don't think it tops carving up a mountain to get to Magus. I guess that's part of the problem here, songs being intrinsically tied to characters and moments. I don't have a real moment to pin Schala's theme to.
