Man, I hated the soundtrack for the first game. I actually turned the music off, lol.

Quick question for those who played the first game on consoles. How much harder is it to play with a gamepad vs a mouse? I played the first one on pc and I'm wondering how much harder it will be transitioning to ps4.

I've played it on both. I prefer the M&KB option. Many people here seem to insist on a controller but idk, I feel like I have more control with M&KB. Especially considering you need to be quick and precise.

I didn't have that much of a problem on Console. Had to rely on Auto Lock more though

Not trolling, just didn't like the music. A lot of it gave me a headache and made it difficult for me to play.

Loved the game and all in on part 2...but not the music. :p

Playing hotline Miami without music is like playing Mario brothers without the jump button.

Seriously the music is what drives you to keep playing because it doesn't reset when you die and just keeps going on. Thumping that bass and keeping the beat going while you kill.

Nah, the fun gameplay is what kept me going. :)

I wouldn't say it's much harder, just different. You'll be relying on the lock on a lot more basically.

For me, controls go Vita > M+K > PS3.

The Vita's sticks are really short so it takes less time to point them in an exact opposite direction than on the PS3 - this may sound like a negligible thing but I found it really helped during the split-second decisions you have to make in the gameplay. Touch screen control for auto aim is also really helpful. M+K I find to be a bit too finicky but that's just a personal thing, lots of people prefer it as a control method. They feel quite different.

It is harder, a lot less precise and I would struggle, personally to speed run levels, but the controller is fine for ordinary play I suppose. I played first with keyboard and mouse though, so it was alway going to feel a little weird.

It's a different game. Playable, but really hard to transfer over to once you've mastered kb/m. I couldn't imagine limiting myself like that to be honest.

talked about the same thing just last page, but i prefer the analogue sticks, especially on the Vita.

Finished the game both on PC and Vita, and got a Platinum on the Vita version. Felt much better with the Vita but it did force me to use a little different playstyle than when i played through on the PC.

Comes down to opinion, like that guy who thinks the music sucks! :D If you have the PS+ free version of Hotline Miami 1, you can test the controls out.

Does anyone know if the OSX version will support DS4? I wouldn't mind buying this to play tomorrow instead of waiting for the PS4 version.

That Skilletor post.

Tomorrow night gon' be ruff. Destiny re-up and Hotline.

Finally picked Hotline up again, figure I'll work on making that my first Platinum. Getting Combo King last night was adrenaline.
