Uncharted 4 delayed to Spring 2016

Not sure why this matters.

Why does it matter if I get it a game in spring and summer instead of fall and winter?

I'm sure a lot of people worried about the holiday are people who are also picking up Bloodborne. I just imagine not everyone wants it to be their only big PS4 exclusive for the year.

Okay, so we know know that an Uncharted Collection is coming this fall then :). I can see why they wanted to push the game back; give it the extra time and polish it needs to be a fantastic tittle while also achieving some of the goals they initially told us they would attempt to do (60FPS for example).

I honestly find it a bit humorous; Sony seems to be less aggressive in pushing first party software on the PS4 then they were during the PS3's life. Then, we got a ton of first party games on the PS3 throughout the year but it seems like they are taking a more conservative stance; release a handful of games (3-6 games) alongside pushing Indie software, third party heavy hitters and making a remaster or two along the way. That isn't a criticism (as a finished game is better then a rushed one), but just an interesting observation from seeing this get delayed.

So, with this being pushed back, the first party line up for Sony seems to be this:
-Order 1886
-Bloodborn
-MLB The Show 2015
-Until Dawn
-Ratchet and Clank PS4
-Unannounced first party game from Santa Monica or Sony Bend
-Two Remastered Collections (God of War Saga PS4 with Asssention and Uncharted Collection)

Overall seems like a solid line up overall if my guesses are right :).

Lets all hope this delay makes UC4 a great game :).

Now you have to wonder what exclusive they will push this holiday, it could be something rad we don't know about from one of there first party developers, or maybe ratchet and clank which would be awesome. Who knows maybe even no mans sky?

ps4 sells well but it's been nothing but a disappointment. No worthwhile exclusives at all. So what will ps4 even have this year exclusive wise? Bloodborne which isn't even that interesting?

meanwhile ps3 gets tales of zesteria and Yakuza 5. and Wii U gets Xenoblade X

Bloodborne is very interesting.

This is disappointing news, I was really looking forward to playing this at the end of the year. At the very least it doesn't leave too big of a void for me since PS4 looks to be getting much better games this year than 2014. (Bloodborne, Batman, MGSV, Persona 5?)

Bloodborne, Until Dawn, The Order which already released, Tearaway Unfolded (half-exclusive?) Ratchet and Clank and lots of digital games.

I did not it was confirmed for release this year in the West! Playing Persona 4 Golden for the first time and not even close to being finished. This really help made the day brighter for me. Thanks, Gaf :)

I'm confused if this is the last Uncharted game or last Uncharted with Drake. One of the main reasons why people enjoy the games is due to Drake, so if they're planning on replacing him, they BETTER have a person with a lot of Charisma like Drake or do a prequel using young Sully.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's not a worthwhile exclusive. For me personally and for many others they are most likely looking forward to these games.

No Man's Sky
Rime
Bloodborne
The Tomorrow Children
Ratchet and Clank
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Persona 5
Tearwaway Unfolded
Until Dawn

I mean come on, there are plenty of exclusives, if you're not interested in any of them I don't think that's Sony's fault. Even if half of these get delays it would still be a great year.

Which is kind of funny since Cerny said that developing on the PS4 would be much easier and faster.
Eh it's not like ND extend time of development because they have troubles in developing games for PS4 system. It's just that they want to use more time to polish and shape up their game and match their goals which they always want to achieve.

Waiting on "Sony Just lost holiday 2015" lol, this also will push back the inevitable last of us sequel no? -___-

Can we hope tor 60fps?

UC4, Quantum Break, and probably Zelda...this is all very depressing. 2015 is still going to be a good year, just not the one that rivals 1998, 2001, or 2007.

No surprise there. So 2014 had Infamous and LBP3 for the PS4. 2015 has nothing now?
(Well, Ratchet might still come out this year? Haven't heard anything about that in a while).
Guess my Top 10 for this year will be only Disgaea, Vita and Indie games.

I think both Until Dawn and Tearaway are for the summer.

Not sure about Drawn to Death.

How is Bloodborne not interesting? It looks like a fantastic game. Edge calls it THE reason to go next-gen.

I am glad that sony and naughty dog are smart enough to delay this and get it right, most of my time this fall will be spent with mgs 5 anyways. :)

Expected. The real question is, if more games get delayed to Spring 2016, will it make sense to launch Uncharted in a crowded period?

So what will fill the void left by Uncharted's absense during the holiday season.

This is what I'm wondering. I'm sure R&C will be in the fall. I hope that The Last Guardian comes out this year and maybe GG's new IP as well. That would still make for a really varied lineup.

Are you thinking correctly? You just dismiss Bloodborne as if no one cares for it.

I'm pretty sure Bloodborne is more interesting to a lot of people than ToZ.

2014 had:

Infamous (March)
MLB (May)
TLOU (July)
Driveclub (October)
LBP3 (November)

2015 has:

The Order (February)
Bloodborne (March)
MLB (March)
Until Dawn (Summer)
Tearaway (Summer)
Persona 5 (Likely fall)
Ratchet and Clank (Probably holiday)

E3 should also yield some more releases.

Not to mention tons of third party and indie titles, there's a large amount of exclusive content this year and an ton of multiplatform games.

No one's PS4 should be collecting dust, even without Uncharted 4.

Believes Dragon Quest is a franchise managed by Sony

That's true. On the plus side, this gives P5 more time to itself without getting crowded by other exclusive games :)

Bloodborne, Until Down, Teraway, Persona 5, Ratchet and Clank, a ton of multiplats are what i'll be picking up

Don't worry guys, maybe Sony will have The Last Guardian or a new Crash game as a killer app replacement title.

lmao

For people who say you can just patch games, don't underestimate the importance of getting it right the first time.

Tell that to Sumo Digital (still bummed about them flunking LBP3)...
