Bluepoint Games working on "highly-acclaimed franchise" remaster on current gen

Since the platforms listed aren't necessarily accurate, I'd say it's pretty safe to say that they are working on Uncharted based on external factors as well. Bluepoint's relationship with Sony, the time being right for an Uncharted collection with Uncharted 4 being pushed out to next year, and the fact that Yoshida has hinted about it happening. I could be wrong, but these pieces fit together rather nicely. Also EA doesn't have a history of doing up-ports of old games, so that isn't as much of a certainty as Uncharted.

I can see it being Mass Effect. The Wii U version of Mass Effects 3 was handled by Straight Right, an Australian developer, so Bioware has handed out port work before. Bluepoint would do a great job.

Though Uncharted would be nice, too.

Skyrim in bound?

They did a great job with titanfall, it almost looked identical to the x1 version

Edit: if it's mass effect 3 I would play that co-op all day

I hope it's Mass Effect. Bought all 3 on PC but going gone through the first one to close to 3/4 mark. Would be worth it, like some others have said. The DLC prices are sickeningly expensive and not discounted even after all these years. And still using Bioware points.

I think the only last gen remaster that I might really get excited for would be Mass Effect Trilogy (done Baldurs Gate trilogy style) or a Fallout 3/New Vegas remastered collection. Other than that, there aren't a lot of games that I really want to play over and over from last gen.

Having said that, it will probably be Uncharted.

How did they do it?

At least It's not Gears of War or Uncharted franchise. They're first party title.

As this job list indicates Xbox One and PS4, This port will be for one of the most beloved game of last gen.

I feel like everyone is failing to notice they need a new character artist, traditional remasters dont need character artists.....remakes do

Mass Effect why else would they need a character artist but to create naked models of them to use in the shower scene because EA hopefully has grown up and gotten over their fear of nudity.

Have Bluepoint done any work except porting games before? If they don't have any experience in making a brand new game, they should leave the development to someone else.

aren't you a special snowflake.
Probably. If I want to play Uncharted games, I can find them on PS Now (except U3). U4 demo is the most valuable thing I want right now and I will buy any game including the demo.

Given the choice between Mass Effect and Uncharted, I'd take ME every single hour of every single day. Bluepoint did an OK job on Titanfall. Given the hardware I guess you couldn't expect much more, but having played the XB1 version first I found the 360 version to be incredibly lacking.

This feels like a key part:

– Learn and master a proprietary game engine effects pipeline

That probably means it is not Unreal, so you can cross out Mass Effect, BioShock or Gears.

That's a good point. Probably knocks down a few possibilities.

If it's not Mass Effect or BioShock my guess would be Skyrim. I'd love for it to be Skyrim. Or Red Dead Redemption or ...

Dammit, give us that Crysis Trilogy collection! I'd buy it in a heartbeat for PS4. My guess for what Bluepoint are working on is an Uncharted or God of War port.

Oh man, I can imagine porting the Kratos model from 3 into the first two GOW games. And remodeling creatures and characters and the worlds. I can dream....

Yeah that is a good point is gamebyro a propriety engine? Cause if it isn't that would cross off Skyrim as well. Seems the chances of it being a PlayStation franchise are increasing.
