Can you explain this exploit a bit more?

Say a request ask you to kill 15 imperial soldiers. You pick up the request and then instead of going to the world map and waste 6 hours, you save and exit the game. Go into tbw missions menu and do a mission that has imperial soldiers in them and fight there to conplete your request. I can't remember but I think the arena works as well. Basically, note that some requests can be done in missions and not just in the game.

Just finished Chapter 5... my party kept getting wiped and early on i was just down to one character... Deuce. DEUCE!

And... turns out... she's totally OP isnt she... i enabled SPP support for the remainder of the mission since everyone else was dead, but she basically solo'd the entirity of the mission and had little trouble doing so. Even though i was apparently grossly inderleveled at 22 for this level 29 mission.

EPIC mission, by the way... wow!

Im getting concerned about my level though... i spend as much time as i can between missions doing side content and i was shocked at the level gap walking into the Chapter 5 mission... i was par for the one before. The game really expected me to grind 5+ levels during chapter 5?? I fear what is to come...

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
There's one trophy for dodging 500 attacks, not sure how it's ending up though. I'm not even sure if I'm dodging the attacks coz I go far and dodge immediately using Ace.

Wheen I'm running around dodging he appears out a nowhere in front of me and 1-hit kills me (I'm at lvl 18 too..wtf

Haha, added to the dodging you should always be locking on to enemies. A bunch of them are just too fast to not use it (and you will also be vomiting a lot without the lock-on).

If it's the boss I'm thinking of, he actually doesn't have many attacks, and landing a break sight on him will give you quite a bit of damage.

So uh that was a weird last chapter. Lots of stuff I hope will be explained/expanded upon later.

lol I went to check the name I saw for the voice director in the HD version credits and yep it's the same guy who did the Dissidia games. That explains the dub quality. At least Steve Blum was great as Cid. Hopefully they get Jack Fletcher back for XV.

Question about new game plus:
To get the secret ending do I just need to beat it a second time or are there other criteria?

Just beat the game, I really enjoyed it and got the good ending, but... I have no idea what the fuck happened in Chapter 8, that shit came out of nowhere and most questions weren't answered(unless they are answered elsewhere).

Is it okay to not go after requests? They're so grindy, and they don't really seem to give me anything good. In chapter 6.

You'll just miss out on the rewards I think. And they are grindy, especially when the wanted mobs refuse to show up.

Quick question for you guys who've done basically everything in the HD version. A friend of mine told me something that sounds like it's different between the PSP version and the HD version but I'm not sure (NG+ quest spoilers):
What level is the Darkness of Suzaku in the HD version? Someone told me the level cap is 99 on Class 0 in that version but I'm wondering how that would work in the PSP version if the same since the DoS is at 200 there.

Bloodborne is taking so much time away from this >.<

There are many requests that tend to give crap items, but there are a few that give massive experience boosts, unique items, special story scenes, or stat boosts...its worth it to do the ones you can or even do a few without saving and then going back and completing the ones you feel are worth it.

Does the woman in the caves with the frog lead anywhere? I've found her in a few different places but not sure what I'm supposed to do with her?

In terms of caves I've done Corsi, Bethnel, Lorica, The Volcano, the Valley of Monsters in the north west and the two that connect other areas like Jubania/North Corridor and the one near Iscah

It only lets you level up 3 times per training session i think.

While doing the EXP exploit the max I gained at one time was 5 levels. But the higher the characters base level, the fewer levels you gain. Once you hit the 80's you'll only get 1 maybe 2 levels if you're lucky.

So I finally got to play around with this and yeah, the camera literally makes me feel sick.

Would you guys say it's okay for me to restart and go with the easiest difficulty instead? I feel like that would make things more manageable but I heard something about missing out on certain content that way?

Just reached chapter 7.

I can't believe I am enjoying this as much as I am. I think a combination of the real time battles as well as the array of characters makes it that much more fun.

I also like that you do have to basically sacrifice a character to use a summon. It makes it a desperation move, rather than something to rely on entirely.

The ending on Chapter 6 was just crazy.

Just beat it. First off I have to say that I really enjoy the setting and atmosphere. I really liked the idea of the war setting and the gritty look along with some later elements, it's really cool to see in a Final Fantasy game. I enjoyed my time with it however the story wasn't as good as I had hoped. However I blame that on having to be tied to Fabula Nova Crystallis. Would have been really cool to see the military story without the lcie, falcie, and anything else that took away from it. The combat I felt was pretty fun however my biggest issue with it was that it seemed certain enemies could be a pain for certain characters. Which usually isn't a big deal but you can't actively switch between your reserves. While I was never in a situation that my progress was impeded. There was a few times where having to get a killstreak was a damn pain due to the character I had to use, not to mention trying it hit fast or flying characters with certain characters as well could be trouble. After all was said and done though I enjoyed my time with it. Can't wait to see what Tabata does with all of FFXV.

Is there some trick to destroying this dragon egg that I'm not seeing? Or is this really just a very stupid mission?

Well, you gotta think about damaging it =P

Buffs/Debuffs (Cater helps), summons (Rem's reraise with whatever is your highest lvl summon), Suzaku magic, stuff like that...

Don't try to attack it normally, it will take way too long.

I used the Debuff stuff with Cater and also spammed magic/Suzaku with a buffed Rem.

That would be less of a problem if I didn't need ESP to know what I'll need before I get there.

You always have a powerful attack with you, as you can't start a mission without it (Summon, Suzaku or the team attack). Most characters have ways of dealing lots of damage (I mentioned Cater and Rem because that's what I used, but you can do it with other characters too). And if you don't sell all the stuff you get from defeating enemies you will have buffs, heals and reraise available to you most of the time.

You're never really forced to use that. If anything, the parts of the game where you need to deal with a ranged enemy and the game doesn't tell you before are way worse than this.

The story is so bad in this game it just jumps around and never explains anything. I see alot of potential in there but someone needed to step up and properly transition the scenes. Some of the cutscenes are like ahistory channel show. I like the thoughts about war and the opening scene with izana was one of the best scenes in a game IMO but from chapters 2-4 it falls very flat. starts to pick up in chapter 5-6-7 then goes completely crazy and off the wall in chapter 8 :(

ambitious game but doesn't quite hit the mark, hopefully if the sequel is true they put someone on that knows how to direct better and maybe limit the [arty to fewer characters to get better development.

Okay I finished the game, and I have a bunch of questions :)

They're all regarding New Game+ mechanics, not the story:

1. Am I right in saying I can repeat any free time activity I completed in my first play through of the game without wasting time now?

2. I didn't touch Emina's quest but part of it involves finishing Kazusa's quest I believe, I think I finished his: I saw the hologram of Kurasame, is there any more to it? Does my progress in his quest carry over, or do I have to complete it all over again in order to finish Emina's?

3. I think I read in this thread that you gain the ability to reverse time too, is this true? Do you lose progress through using it?

4. Does expert trial completion carry over?

5. Does the airship carry over?

6. Apart from having a complete Rubicus is there any other bonus to viewing everything in the game?

7. I've already watched the "what if" ending, do you gain it simply by finishing the game a second time or are there special requirements?

Thanks!

A lot of "I don't know"s here, but anyway:

1- Yup, that's right

2- Progress carries over yes, I'm not sure if Kazusa's quest ends there, you don't need to redo anything to start Emina's

3- No, you just gain more time, nothing is lost (or actually reversed =P)

4, 5, 6 - I don't know

7- I'm not sure, but I'll say what someone told me:
to view the What If ending you need to complete all of the NG+ missions (when you are about to start a story mission on NG+ they will sometimes ask if you want to do something else instead, do them). And you need recruit every cadet to Class Zero (Carla, Quon, Mutsuki, Ryid, Naghi).
I'm not sure about either of these conditions though, I did them all and got the ending, but if it was needed, I don't know.

And that's it.

Thanks! I was planning on doing everything you mentioned in relation to the last question so I'll see how that goes :)

Also, I'm missing a bunch of entries in the Rubicus, the ones before the Chapter 1 entries... (and missing one Chapter 1 entry, the second to last one even after finishing it a second time) how do I pick these up?

=P, I'm not sure either. I just kept playing and eventually I just got most of them (I think it's when yo go somewhere and you get a little message saying it got an update, but I have no idea what are the conditions to update it).

Am I just imagining it or does Seven look aloooot like Lightning.
If character design is all you care about, then yeah, she's just white hair lightning with a school uniform.

Are there any hidden videos besides
Chapter of Truth, In Another Spiral, and Rise from the Ashes,
or do I have them all?

The final cgi scene made think huh she looks like lightning quite alot, just finished the game today what a great second half to the game and ending, the video that unlocks cleared things up for me so I am satisfied enough with the ending.

What about the new game plus ending? did that video make you understand everything more? since it did for me.

The game is not making a very strong first impression. It's very hard to take the story seriously when the cutscenes are directed this terribly. It doesn't help that virtually no context is given for anything that's happening so I'm confused as hell. I guess I'll keep at it but blah.

Change VA to Japanese. Even the subtitles are direct translations from Japanese...
