I believe that this is real, because I do not believe that Square Enix has a sense of humor.

Yeah, I don't know about that. They seem to have a pretty unique sense of humor.

has it changed to an "announcement after x" slimes page?

That'd explain why the vita logo has gone, because the x slimes challenge is with regards to the ps3/ps4 title of DQ Heroes

It thanks everyone for helping successfully slay 10 million slimes, and they're still calculating the total slimes killed during the campaign.

I think we'll probably have to wait until tomorrow when business actually starts to see if they have an update on it.

..or we may have to wait until VJump's next issue.

What's the 1000? I'd assume 12,334,772 is the number of slimes killed?

I think it's the same. It still shows the same logo.

I don't see a logo. What do you see? This is what I see"

I'm guessing that they won't mention it again until they officially announce it at some event.

1000万 means 10 million.

Ah, they updated the final score. There is no 1000. It's 10 million. That was the target for the slimes they wanted people to kill in total.

"10 million Slimes have been defeated"

I see. Thank you very much.

So is the DQH2 announcement gone now? Like wiped from the site. But they haven't said it was an April's fool joke so it could still be real.
Is it possible they accidentally posted the announcement before they meant to? lol

I call bullshit. I've never heard of a sequel coming so quick for a console when the first one was just barely on the market for 3 months. This is a April fools joke.

No one wants a throne you've been sitting on!
Seems too tame to be a joke

Plus is it even still april 1st in Japan anymore?

Not anymore. But this was announced when it was April 1st. And seeing how the HP changed / removed the DQH2 image along with the slime event possibly was a joke.

Though at the same time just could be SQEX being idiots and had run the event at the same time.

In anycase lets see what happens once it hits actual business hours and if they update the page again.

Doubt it since they removed the content once it went past midnight and just left that info screen about the # of slimes defeated instead.

This is Omega Force, one of the hardest working Japanese studios ever. They make 4-5 major games yearly. If they announce a sequel when prequel was just released, it is usually legit.

I wonder how many people here knows that SE is making an exclusive Vita game...

Either way, I guess we'll have to wait and see, but it seems like a joke for now =X

If it's real which I don't think it is consider me hyped the first game was amazing. I'm not getting my hopes up though this looks fake and way too early to announce considering the game is still getting DLC and the western release hasn't launched yet.

Extreme legends games usually add a fair few characters and stages sw4 ii only adds one character and I don't believe as much content either so I'm not really comfortable saying sw4 ii is like a main warriors game plus xl

I didn't say a main Warriors game + XL, just XL by itself (SW4 II doesn't have any of the modes from the base game, just the new stories and all the castle challenges). Anyway, SW3XL was already pretty poor as far as added characters go (It brought back Gracia and gave new movesets to Masanori and Aya, but they were already playable in the base game with generic movesets).
