Seeing this i'm semi-interested in this game i'm going to ask this: How terrible is the translation in this game?

Its pretty bad , but i was always able to discern what the characters meant to say. To be honest the most negative thing is how it affects Skill names/explanations and system mechanics explanations, since it makes it hard to understand what exactly some skills do. Though i was able to find some good guides on the internet and help from the people from the OT.

Considering that was the first picture i found i'm sure it gets worse but i'll keep this in mind though.
Probably will end up buying this eventually as the gameplay looks interesting enough

that is from the asian english version, the western version is a bit more cleaned up (no penetration). Should definately wait for a sale since it has already been several times, i think $16 last time? that was a pretty grest price for the game. And considering its a bamco title we will definately see it on sale sooner or later lol

Thing is though apparently its only early on things were "cleaned up" as folks still said a lot of the other stuff was left halfassed or just not translated at all lol. I remember people in the OT talking about that.

Sounds like with Hollow Fragment I could have some dumb fun with a custom character (thank the maker I don't technically have to play as Kirito) and a nice battle system. I'll consider it.

So, Unlimited World Red is a pretty fun game so far, and looks absolutely lovely on my OLED Vita. It's definitely one of the better OP games I've played. Touch My Katamari seems like more of the same, which is perfectly fine by me. Speaking as someone who just got into the series thanks to getting the original in the last flash sale, it's pretty nice.

probably shouldn't reward namco with a purchase for the shitty job they did on that game, sale or not

It's not like they don't know what they were doing was wrong. They even admit that it won't happen this time, so why should we hold it back anyway.

Ended up putting another 10 bucks into PSN to get One Piece World Red for Vita; considering it is normally 30 bucks, why not get it for a steal price :)? Still have a lot left over for Shovel Knight and whatever goes on sale on Tuseday (got everything that interested me in the sale already).

Always found One Piece interesting but never got to the anime or manga; this should be a nice introduction I think :D.

That is one horrible translation job.

Omega Quintet, aka true JRPG.

Too bad I don't have a PS4. Looks good and seems to be a traditional JRPG based on the CTB-like display in the right.

gonna be a good Vita year, Neptunia U and Re;Birth 3, Grisaia, Steins;Gate, Danganronpa Another Episode...i guess that's it huh

I'm planning to get the Neptunia games sometime later this year. Will I be missing a lot of things if I start with 2 or 3? That aside, we do have a lot of good games coming out this year and we're not even halfway there. <3 ur list but I'm hoping for the eventual localization of GE2:RB or Digimon games too. Also, still undecided if that Lost Dimension game should be picked up.

So this 'penetrating', what is it a mistranslation (for lack of a better word) of? What's the Japanese term used originally?

if you're talking SAO, I assume it's actually a pretty accurate translation, but it just isn't used in that way. Translation is probably "breaking through" or something like that, given SAO's story.

nope, Neptunia is very self contained so you can start anywhere, though all of the vita games are great so i'd suggest playing them all

No thats not correct. Its what happens when you have someone that not only does not know English but Japanese as well do translations. The word that they were "attempting" to translate was 攻略 ”(n,vs) (1) capture; (2) (abbr) {comp} strategy guide; playing guide (e.g. for game); book of hints; (P)” which has nothing to do with penetration. Its basically floor clearing. Not penetration.

Some of the text in the game made it look like they ran it through google translate and from there tried to piece it together. Also that they did not receive any sort of resources from Bandai Namco in regards to proper terminology and such. Let alone looked up information on their own for general terminology which does exist from fan pages based off of information from the localized series.

One thing for sure is considering the fuckup that happened is Bandai Namco will never use said group again that was responsible for the shit translations that went into Hollow Fragment.

Makai Shin Trillion delayed to July in Japan. In return, we get the collab between this one and Neptunia VII.

No big deal about the delay as its just 2 months. They must have ran into performance issues and wanted to get those out of the way ahead of time instead of releasing early and trying to work on a patch at the same time to fix existing issues damaging the new IP. The colab stuff will help.

Much prefer shit getting delayed rather than having a version out with issues. Even more so considering more than enough currently will be out from this week and next to keep people busy in the mean time anyways. Thankfully for them this buys them time to fix whatever the issue actually is till July.

I own Bullet Girls, it's pretty enjoyable although the A.I. is braindead. There's an excellent guide that translates pretty much everything other than the story dialogue on the PlayStation Trophies forum that I used.

I'm not sure if they were aiming for that, but the A.I in the game is so bad that it's actually funny.
That
stealth
mission near the end of the game though.. Made me understand why people hate
instant death if spotted stealth.

Sony doesn't care enough about the Vita to make Vita 3k? Thankfully I'm pretty happy with my Vita, so I doubt I'll be tempted to do a trade-in.

Vita 3K trademarked in japan apparently.

It seems to come with a HDMI port.

Could be the revival of the OLED's mistery port too!
lol no

Nope, picture is definitely a Vita 1000. That port is the proprietary USB connector.

Front is totally a 2000 though.

it's called 3k because that's how much the memory cards will cost

3k JPY is not bad actually.

Is it legit? It's dated april first...
If true... Unlike most people i said that Sony would have made Vita 3k for sure :p
Were is written that it has hdmi?

I am not seeing the HDMI.

The section part says it's a "Portable Controller (LCD Screen) for Game Unit".

I know jackshit about patents, but is that how you'll describe a game console?

Edit/Correction: I guess it could read "Portable LCD Screen'd Game Unit's Controller", which would somewhat-kinda translate into a Vita-3000. The controller part is really throwing me off, lol.

2+2=5

The Amiga Brotherhood
The back is also peculiar, it's all the same, has not place for fingers and doesn't seem to be a touch pad or it's as big as the entire back

Sony's dekavita?

Sony's dekavita?

Where's the slot to put in the VitaTV? I like the concept of dekaVita, though it honestly has no use for me.

Seriously, it's like Vita-1000 and Vita-2000 had a child.

Well you said portable controller lcd for game unit, dekavita(controller) for pstv(game unit) immediately came in mind, also there seem to be nothing on the back, maybe you can open it.

It's a weird picture, because on the side there is also the port for 3G (Vita 1000) and on top there are two slots (Vita 1000: PS Vita Card + Useless Port).

It looks like a hyrbid between the 1000 and the 2000.

Look all I'm saying is if Sonty announce a new Vita model and it lets me have up to like 512 GB of games stored in it, my old OLED will turn in a JP PSN gaming machine.

Just sayin'.
