I meant in context of pulling. If you do DNA recode, you will lose your SS.

Recoding is worse because you don't want to 100%, 65/65/90 another from scratch. SS mages are always viable.

I'm keeping mine SS for now and hoping to pull the Z version from energy pulls....or not. I'm missing all the other SS/Z mages so I'd much rather have any of those first.

Would have definitely changed him had he not been 100% SB already. That +40% SB is really nice.

Still need 3 more Deepwater Helixes for Olber...boss keeps on dropping Oxsecium instead.

I don't think recoding is worse at all. Most people don't have anything close to 100% SB for any character. If you're actually playing the game normally, upgrading a SS character with 20-40% SB to a Z character with 40-60% SB is a fantastic upgrade in practical terms. It's definitely a better character, and the increase in SB will be extremely useful compared to pulling the same Z character with 0% SB.

Got 4 Deepwater Helixes so far, just need 1 more!

I'm excited to try this out. I've got her Z to 40 so far.

The worst grind for me is doing anything SB related so having a way to jump up 40% is huge to me. With double item rates on the map it isn't very hard to get the items needed either.

I was looking through the old in-game announcements to see when the last 10x pull event was and it was at the very end of March, so I hoped something would happen this month. My body is ready.

That whale video showing off the Z characters the other day didn't demonstrate A'misandra's chain extension skill; I didn't realize it keeps extending to the next available character until I saw a pic from Reddit.

Will die of boredom before I get her to level 80 on all jobs though—72/65/66 so far.

I've gone as low as running 20-1 with 3 characters, should be doable with 2 characters too, but I still have enough characters to level to not do that.

I'm making it worse for myself by running 20-1 with a full team of 6 since I have a bunch of potential DNA recoding to do. Piz'fer/Lewto/Olber/A'misandra/S'naip/Bonna is my setup right now and I get about 280-285k total exp per run.

How much total exp can you get with just 3 characters? I usually use 4 people that way I can make the most of the chain kill bonus, since one round of AOE spells isn't usually enough. That was before the level 90 cap though; I wonder if one SS mage can do enough damage to wipe out waves with the vertical spells now?

Like 230 - 240 k? To be honest the max I usually got with like 4 - 6 characters was also like 250 k. I'm using a lvl 85 Piz'fer tho and he can one shot most stuff that took me 2 chains before...with the exception of that second mini-boss' rows of minions.

I now have 6 characters that can DNA recode, holy shit. I did some time traveling to farm Deepwater Helices from chapter 26 with increased drop rates, but they're a lot more stubborn than the Mantle Helices were.

I'm definitely very happy with the pulls I got today. Even though it would have been nice to get a Z pull, the characters I got are definitely filling holes in my roster so it's hard to complain. I'm going to work on leveling Lewto and Kapori first, then I'll do Harold and Gaiga. Getting Lewto to a decent level and having more of his attacks would allow him to eventually lead the new crew when I grind 23-4, replacing Pupropu's role.

I think Kapori, Harold, and Gaiga are going to be pretty useful for tackling that The Last Story quest too, since my biggest handicap at the moment is the lack of good physical attackers outside of Bahl and Korin. Looks like Macuri is a spear version of Bahl too, so that could also be helpful. Now I no longer feel like my entire character pool are mostly elemental.

When Bahamut and Leviathan return I'm going to unleash Maralme in their faces. Probably don't need to at this point since I have like, lvl90 characters, but hey, it's still nice to use a dragonslayer against dragons.

But I did recode Samatha and A'misandra so that'll keep me busy for awhile getting them up to 90. So much to do now! Between that and grinding out some SB in the Last Story dungeon.

Haven't pulled since New Years Eve, and stockpiled 155 free energy since then from daily login rewards.

Dropped 150 energy just now in three 10x pulls and got two Z Units: Piz'fer and Invincible.

I was so excited to see that Piz'fer and the grandfathered in Z crew only have one class to level, but saddened to see that Invincible is going to take a ton of grinding until it's ready to shine.

Is Invincible even good compared to the rest if the Z crew? Is there a tier list within the Z crew, on that note? I'd love to see how they all stack up.

Invincible is inferior to the other Zs in a general standpoint. It sucks because its job 2 has the better skills, so if you had it all maxed out, that's the job you'd use most. Still, it lives up to its name and is the only good source of long range physical damage if you need that for some reason.

Golds are camellia and zerro. The first SS ranks I have pulled since I got yukken on my third pull of the game.

Like I said already, there are dailys that aren't implemented so there are dead days.

I guess I'll land on twenty tomorrow, at which point I'll focus on getting my team (or a team) to level seventy and take care of that Last Story dungeon. So, after not playing since December, and dropping my 150 free log-in bonus on three 10x pulls, I've got a ton of new toys, and could use some help working on a team to make with them.

Unfortunately, I'm still SoL on a better healer to replace Kuscah, so he's going to have to stay for now, I think, unless I'm missing something.

Is Invincible any good at the end of the day, or am I wasting my time on him?

I'm wondering if I should work on Gugba instead of Koko or Olber, so I won't be kicking myself if I pull a Z Rank version of either of them down the line, seeing as Gugba didn't get a Z Rank version.

Either way, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For units you haven't touched, focus on raising Koko, Olber, Gugba, Alika Job 3.
Banking on a Z draw is worthless when the SS Units are great already. Olber in particular is an amazing unit by himself.

Invincible is pretty useless now; just get his job items during the daily.

Gugba, Olber, Piz'fer are legit. Kuscah will be your healer. Bahamut is a no go with only 2 jobs. Maybe just consider another sword user (Sha'plar, Sheena, Bahl) and Korin for all the sword buffs?

Snaip is actually one of the highest damage dealers in the game. Was also one of the first characters I got to lvl 90. Super easy to level compared to all the S/SS chars.

Nah, go for the whole 65/65/65 and otherwise 80/80/80 for the SS, Alika job 3 65 is for Treasure Hunter for more items. Job 2 65 Olber is important, Gugba Job 2/3 65 is important.
